I won't buy it until the mass market paperback comes out, but you can be assured it will be first rate.

To me, Gabriel Allon is like an old friend that you only see once a year but once you start, it’s like you haven’t missed a beat.

I read several authors religiously but none do I anticipate like the next Silva book

  2. Jeopardy is replaying shows from their first 10 years, and last night's show was one of the first aired. What was really aggravating is that back then, players could ring in immediately, even before Alex started reading the answer. It appeared they didn't give the contestant as much time to respond either.

Interestingly, on this episode, all 3 contestants bet it all on Final Jeopardy, and all 3 answered incorrectly. I think in the preview for the show, Alec said that it was the only time in the show's long history that all 3 contestants ended the game at zero.

The next episode brought in 3 new people. They did not let ties come back the next day.

Grandpa told me.. boy, if there comes a time when you think you know it all, your about to die. So I suggest, you always keep an open mind and an eager willingness to learn.

That has stuck with me and I find it nearly impossible to shut my brain off. I only sleep 4-5 hours a night. Been that way since I can remember.

Not really advice from a buddy-

College buddy: you chase the wrong type of women.

    Me: yeah, why’s that?

Buddy: ‘cause you make things too difficult. It’s not that hard if you think about it.

Me: wait, why would I take advice from you? The girls you chase already have kids.

Buddy: way I see it, if she already has a kid, she must be easy. Plus, she has to have some food around for the brat.

    Me: 🤦‍♂️

That dude has been through so many marriages. SMH

So, you were college buddies with Fouls? 😁

I’m not saying they are the same player but the same criticisms people use on Braden could just as easily be levied on Tom Covercharge. (Sorry, Billingsley that I stole your material.)   All he did was win and bring toughness and competitiveness to the team. You could look at other guys like Aaron Craft, Kyle Kraemer, et al. the same way.   Guys like that are key pieces on winning teams.   Tough kids bring an edge and an extra competitiveness to the roster, especially in the day and age where you have other kids in the locker room with unrealistic views on how good they are.  Kids can be the best player in a ten county region so they get an inflated view of themselves.  Tough kids have a way of leading and getting the focus on tough, winning ball, not showcasing yourself, which is not needed and is counterproductive.  If you have the physical ability and you know how to make winning plays on both ends, scouts see that and get it.

I firmly believe that if a kid is willing to compete, play hard on both ends, be all about winning, etc, the NBA will take care of itself.  It’s a life lesson.  The same could be applied to any profession.  The people who are selfish, complainers, etc, they lose in all walks of life.  Heck, what did #23 average at UNC?   And he gets it.  The Bradens of the world get it and can help laser focus the other players.

With 13 schollies, I think we have the spot for that tough Indiana kid type.  Now, if Archie thinks he can’t do it physically, which I doubt, I trust the staff.

I bring this up because Browns are in same category. The last time Knicks signed a draft pick to an extension was 1999 with Charlie Ward. I think with Myles Garrett it makes the first player they drafted to sign an extension with them since Joe Haden which was 6-7 years ago. What a franchise.

Surprised Joe Thomas was never extended

Just heard a news tease that there was an incident in Bloomington over last weekend.  White men beating a Black guy and then saying "Get a noosel".  Happened on 4th of July.  Don't know what happened.  Not IU related, I guess.  Still being investigated per B-ton mayor.

Yes, the Black man is a civil rights proponent. Per the reports I read, the white guys pinned him up against a tree, used the “n” word, and talked about lynching. I think it might have happened on Lake Monroe, and the DNR were involved
