Correct me if I’m wrong , but one thing that I think gets forgotten was after that successful Covid shorten year we lost out OC and our DC. Both nerve got replaced by competent coach! Wouldn’t the AD be involved with the hiring of those coaches.

I think what people question is not the extension, but the buyout. Because of the lack of sustained success by any head coach at IU, a buyout that large seems pretty outrageous for a head coach who had zero head coaching history. I was for the extension, that buyout is nuts. It should be half.
Yes, I couldn’t agree more. It seems to me that lack of performance would be grounds for dismissal! I would agree you couldn’t fire him after a one year drop off, but several in a row years! To said we would end his job without reason is crazy!

So what’s the consequence for the AD that’s got us in this mess! Is he forgiven because we get so much TV money we’re staying financially afloat in football? So no one in the administration cares!

We need this win in the worst way ! There is so little excitement we have got to get some wins !

With Fuente in position as an analyst, I feel like we have the best offensive strategists since Deboer. Carey knows who we have, what they can and can't do, and how our young qb's are progressing. Not saying it will change overnight, but simply stopping some of the stupidity of the option and goal line cluelessness will help.
Having two weeks to overhaul should help. And Bostad's blocking philosophy should mesh well with Carey. Let Fuente add to what Carey has been observing, and we have the best chance for success.
Go Hoosiers'! I’m hoping you’re right!

He does when he’s good friends with the new OC.
I hope you are right. It seems ever since we lost Deboer and Wommack and who ever was our other coaches then we have not worked as unit. Put our players in position to win games.

Does an analyst coach really have any ability to speak up an help make changes?
Your past analyst coach said he saw mistakes we were making ,but nothing happened. I’m sure Bell just thought I got this! -

Seriously, I don't know why anyone was excited about Bell. Or why he was ever hired. He won 2 games at UMass
If I remember right. I don’t think people were excited we hired Coach Bell. I do remember we were glad to get rid of Nick Sheridan
I am hoping Coach Carey works out to a more positive end! He has a real up hill battle coming in behind the eight all like this facing Michigan right off the bat an right in the middle of our toughest stretch in our schedule.
Bath by fire!

He’s coming in to a very tough part of our schedule. So he will need something to bounce his way! I wish him luck!

I don’t know anything about Carey! It sounds
like he’s had some success. Does he like his offense to throw the short and get play makes to break it big! Does he use his running backs an thightends in pass routes! Is he a smash mouth guy. Three four yards and a cloud of dust,

Tayven has missed some very open an easy passes. Even some completion were not good passes either high are just a little behind! Receivers could do much after catch.
let’s give Brandon a chance !

May not take that. Too much money coming from the media deal to hide. Dolson and the BOD will look stupid by acting as if there is no money. The fans are screaming. I’m pretty conservative when it comes to these things but this is beyond ridiculous. If you fire a guy like this it looks really bad on you. This means you had no faith in him from the beginning. TA needs to go. His schtick is over.
I think the big donors will come out if they can put something other than bottom feeder teams on the field.

Well I’m as frustrated as the next IU Football fan. Just don’t understand why we can’t turn this program around enough to be relevant.
I don’t know who is available that could do it. It’s got to be more than one coach. We need an HC, OC, and DC that can work together and build something positive.
-
It’s going to be an ugly season! Why can’t IU get this program turned around !
-
Wow we’re bad!

Yah… im not sure how that works out, but if a shitty product makes that kinda money…. Why not lol
It’s just frustrating because just a few years back it felt like we were getting close to having a solid program.
we are maybe expecting to much out of a freshman QB! Also a lot of new coaches so could be a few years off again! -
Beat Maryland!

seems like they are doing okay.
The IU Bloomington football program paid out $29,373,452 in expenses while making $56,453,582 in total revenue. This means the program turned a profit, making $27,080,130 for the school. This is great since many college sports programs lose money.
I stand corrected thank you!

Really sh*tty game.
How long can IU substantially keep funding a program that can’t fill less than half its stadium. We need some excitement, in this program not rah rah . We need wins .

I don’t know the answers to your coaching problems ! We couldn’t run the ball against a Mac team ! That’s a big problem! Receivers dropping wide open passes Another big issue, I don’t b
care if you’re a freshman in high school; you’ve got to see Lucas wide open in the ot!
-
No need to pile on ! We all know how bad this was!
-
You ask me who I’d hire for head coach! I’m just a factory work don’t get paid to know who’s available! I just know we are hard to watch !
-
I agree! We need a head coach not a cheerleader!
