IU goes down  2 spots to 96 without playing and has 2 wins over Maryland. Of course we lost once to Rutgers but moving down seems ridiculous. The net needs to be tossed out. That is the only thing keeping this team out or consideration. Not saying we belong in just need to be in the conversation. It’s crazy we are so far behind teams like Maryland and OSU and Iowa. I know the margin of losses and victories aren’t that good but the number of victories match up and we are 5-0 against those teams

I would assume the staff has been talking to the team for weeks about not paying attention to the noise from the outside. Using the phrase the true fans are here to support you, show up to and watch the games. That would be the reason for using the term in their speeches. 

Again if we can give them shit over how they are playing and coaching then they can give it back. If your butt hurt over the term true fan and some one calling you out about it. Maybe you’re not the true fan. This isn’t directed at anybody personally or staying anyone isn’t a true fan. Just don’t understand why everyone cares that much. I consider myself a fan. I can question them and bitch when they lose. I can critique the performance of players and coaches. That’s my right as a fan. The players and coaches have the right to call us out if they want. I will still be a fan today tomorrow next year and the year after it.

This is way the portal and NIL have changed the game. Easy to fill holes in your roster. Taking experience players over one and done freshman really not a big deal. Meshing portal guys with 3 and 4 year players that you can develop is key. Would have like to had McNeely but certainly not  the killer to the season

The net makes no sense and I know we have waxed in a lot of games but our quad one and win loss record is as good as any team in the 10 to 12 seed range. The strength of schedule is also much better than any of those teams

Not saying we should be in but we certainly deserve to be looked at and a 2 more wins should make it interesting

We all know the sides of most on here and I do believe in numbers...but when numbers offer variances of 200% it says there's a bit of error in the construction of the rankings.

That hurt more than anything early. 

Gunn and Banks not developing into rotational players hurt too. Not playing with the starters might have hurt that development as well

We as fans should know that all of our criticism gets back to the team and might effect them. I don't like how we as fans treat the players for the most part. Woodson is a grown man and making millions do he can take it. I noticed how Leal put a jab in with the fans as well and it was warranted

If would have beat Kansas and one more conference win we would be a lock and talking about making a run 

Maybe Kansas would have been enough 

Woodson and staff deserve criticism for roster configuration but they certainly never gave up and kept fighting

Questioning the coach does not make one not a “true fan”, I would argue the opposite. It’s very ok for a fan to ask questions and not be pleased with leadership.

Two things can be true at the same time: one can be a fan of a team AND question aspects of coaching. These are not mutually exclusive.

Personally I like the fight. If he is coming back the put up a fight and hopefully the team will follow.

Personally i like it and I think that as a player you have like it. 
Johnson went thru a lot of injuries this year and never has got into a grove. Have to think if he was healthy he would playing better. He was always going to be a little up and down. Not going to say I will miss it the team will next year either. Unfortunately will never know what a healthy Johnson could have done this year
