Honestly, I've been struggling with this question all year watching guys like Gunn, Banks, and even Cupps struggle.  Why not give Leal a chance?

    Agree

You know what you get with Leal. He will play hard and be in good position on D. Might get beat off the dribble but he will compete. He is capable of making the open shot moves the ball.

Woodson is looking more like dumb and dumber. MM can't handle the ball, has no quickness and can't jump over a pop can. I can't wait till he is gone. The trouble is as incompetent as the Administration is they will give him a Tom Allen extension and buyout.

Actually it’s smart. Reneau and Ware both can shoot as well. MM can have a major advantage and maybe even get one one coverage. Better spacing for cutters and driving lanes. Finding more ways to score and using a player capable making played is always smart

Time to get on a roll and get this season back on track!! It starts Tuesday.

Win the next 2 at home

winnable game in the road at OSU and things can change in a hurry

Big resume building games with Wisky Northwestern and MSU at home and this team has a chance to salvage the season.

Slim margin or no margin for error but it is there.

The Illinois game showed they still had some fight.

Still can’t believe this was called a tech. Hawkins reaction could’ve been a tech, and then his little fit in the second half on a no call would’ve gotten a tech on Lebron James.

That has to be one o. the worst Texh calls ever. Every game a player does that and no call. Hawkins is the one who should have got the T. He ran around bitching and charging at johnson and IU players the entire time while players where going to locker room.

He's had 8 boards in the first half today.  I have no issues with a player's scoring when they do that.

He is playing hard. Needs to get some shots to fall in the second. Walker has to play smarter. The bench has got to start helping

    Great play by X!

If anyone gets a tech there it shouldn’t be X. Throwing the ball to an opponent after a made basket is nothing.

i like the little toss to Hawkins. Hawkins acts like a little bitch and is still talking shit after officials broke it up. It is either going to fire up Illinois and hawkins or cause him to go into the tanks

I think in today's environment you're going to struggle to find a much better mix of experience and talent. We had talented veterans that are playing pro ball now. We had talented young guys that got drafted in the lottery, another talented young guard we didn't get much out of that is doing great at another P5 school.

We didn't get the most out of our roster last year, we certainly aren't this year.

I agree Woody needs to address the roster issues, but if that's all he adjusts then we aren't going to get where we want tog. I understand that I am the one who started a thread about firing Woodson, but I'd actually much rather see him make adjustments and have a 3-5 more good years before retiring. I just haven't seen anything to make me think he is willing to make the changes he needs to make.

That makes a lot of sense. Yes we have had a lot of talent the last few years. Tamar oozed talent, just couldn’t put it together with confidence and consistency. He struggled early at Mizzo too but has it going now. We really need that from him last year. We really need Gunn Johnson and Banks to start playing better. Those guys are talented.

That’s part of the equation, what’s he going to adjust in his schemes? He had four pro players last year, including a lottery pick point guard and a generational 5, and he didn’t come close to winning the conference or getting out of the first weekend.

There is more that needs to change than just the roster.

Problem is as good as JHS was he was only a freshman. A very good player and high draft pick. Picked as much because of potential as posed to actual performance. Thompson and Kopp are over seas professionals. Miami’s starting 5 last year will probably be playing professionally at some point in their careers. The truth of it is JHS at the time of playing the Miami game was the 3rd best guard on the floor. Our guard play has killed us the last several years

We need to find a balance of talent and experience. Having pro talent in young players and players with experience that can go on to nba or overseas.
