I think you just saw them in bc they were the highest seed remaining in their conference tournament (they were #3, Loyola #4), so they were in as an automatic qualifier. Otherwise they didn’t have a shot.

Yea maybe.  Just saw Lunardi had 2 MVC schools in.  Probably didn't matter who won today(only 1 MVC) looking at it as Loyola probably wouldn't have got in had they not won.

I don't know about yall but I'm so sick of being a bubble team.

Yeah, I don’t think Drake is going to get in without a W. Loyola could still get in as they are in the “work to do” category.

What I saw was Drake with a 12/13 seed and UNI with a 14.  Loyola was either last 4 in or first out.  They had to win today.

Doesn't matter now as Loyola is off the bubble with the win.  Guess UNI and Drake should both be on the bubble now.

    I’ll ask the question:

You are Mike Woodson… This off-season do you blow the roster up (Crean them) and restart with a whole new crew or run it back 1 more year with basically the same results then maybe sneak in.

I would have been fine had he blown it up after the embarrassment in Chicago.   Pretty much knew we were screwed after that knowing who we had left to play.    I'd much rather see Leal, Bates, Galloway and Geronimo getting minutes and experience.

I think he was talking about a sports talk show on CBS sports…

You’re correct that a lot of what we consume as news today is editorial and most if not all should make that distinction more obvious. There have been “news” organizations sued and as their defense they argued no one should take them seriously - that’s sad, IMO.

Maybe but I had CBS on this morning and the one dude on there did say Gard initiated it.

What is everyone doing here?  Giving opinions.  Just like you just did.

And this isn't the news.   Our opinions on here are just that.  But when you have the CBS Morning news telling people their opinions it's no longer news.  When a news person throws in their opinion it's them trying to influence their audience.  There was a time when a story was a story and we as viewers could make our own decisions on a topic.

Fwiw, the crew on the CBS morning show agreed that Gard initiated the ruckus.

I miss the days when the msm reported events and didn't give us their opinions of what happened.

Initating could be Howard's walking by the hand shake and mouthing off to Gard. Or maybe the full court press with 15 seconds left when the game is over.

Looking at the box score, there were 7 total free throws for the game.  Think the refs swallowed their whistles knowing Minny only had 7 players?  3 players played 40 min and the other 2 starters played 37.

Yep only 7 scholarship players dressed which is the minimum to play.   Injuries and possible Covid is what they were saying.  The Willis kid from Minny was on fire.

I am not throwing in the towel, just being realistic. We have the same issues we have had in the past with a different cast. We are not very athletic, we don't have guys who can create their own shot, aren't mentally tough, we can't dominate on the offensive, defensive, rebounding and when we sub the team gets worse. The only difference is the coaching staff and so far I am not impressed.

I wanna believe we can win so bad but...  poor outside shooting, missed FT's and Turnovers makes me think otherwise.   A lot of IU fans just expect us to win all our home games and I just don't think that's happening this year.  Which most likely means we won't have a bid to the dance come March.  Hope I'm wrong.

The times sure have changed. I had Biology class with Alan Henderson and he missed Tuesday and Thursday class and was sitting in street clothes at a home game on Saturday. He never missed class again.

I don't understand how he did not at least get a 1 game suspension against a crappy team just to send a message but what do i know.

What a joke letting him play.  I suppose if grandson had crashed and killed someone they'd both be running laps as punishment.  How the hell is this not a huge story???  Smh

    Go Hoosiers!!!
