  1. Recent highlights. Nice looking outside shot. 6'5" guard, ranked #51 in the class of 2024. Indiana still very much in the hunt, but the kid likes Duke, too, and they're involved now. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/watch-midseason-highlights-of-2024-iu-basketball-target-rakease-passmore/
  2. Top 50 sophomore EJ Walker coming for a second Indiana visit Jan 8. Class of 2025. Listed at 6'7" 225 lbs, from Kentucky Lloyd.
  3. It's so nice to see the word Christmas. Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope your Holiday Tree Christmas Tree is beautiful.
  4. Currently 10 below zero in Madison, Wi. Here's the rest of the day:
  5. If she wants a dog, and you do not want a dog, you can always compromise by getting a dog.
  6. Go to the game ??? Up here in Wisconsin, this storm will make it tricky when deciding whether to get out of bed.
  7. Snow coming to Madison Wi this week. Oh, yay. 😒
  8. A 1942 Walking Liberty half dollar. The nicest condition coin I ever got from circulation. It's not worth a lot, but I've always liked the reverse side especially. Just terrific art. It's like the eagle is saying "Out of my way, I have important eagle stuff to do!" The designer, Adolph Alexander Weinman, also did the Mercury Dime.
  9. Best comment I saw on another site: "Indiana made it easy for the Kansas cleanup crews, because we sure didn't leave anything on the court."
  10. More "Rules for thee, not for me" from the private jet crowd.
  11. As woke tech companies preach to others about being green and sustainable, each of Google's average data centers uses 450,000 gallons of water per day to cool servers. One Google city in Iowa used 845 million gallons of water in just one year. Nationwide, it was 3.4 billion gallons in one year. In Oregon, Google wants to tap the Columbia River for more water. I understand large international companies require resources to function. Just don't lecture others about the environment while you do it. https://www.theblaze.com/news/google-data-center-gobbled-up-nearly-300-million-gallons-of-oregon-citys-water-amidst-droughts
  12. Azavier Robinson visiting Dec 20. 6'1" guard, Indy, 2025. Link credit to TheDailyHoosier. Purdue: “I took a visit there not too long ago and I really liked their practice. I also like the campus, too. Watching the practice was my favorite part. It was very intense and they had high energy.” Indiana: “I haven’t taken a visit there yet, but I’m going to on Dec. 20. I don’t know too much about the program yet, to be honest. I know they have some success, though. I’m looking forward to going down there.” https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/azavier-robinson-already-catching-big-ten-interest
  13. Agree. Although, as I posted yesterday. for many of the IU people involved, it was never about integrity. It was about power, and some warped sense of revenge. They took great joy in seeing Indiana Basketball harmed. After Knight was fired, I saw one interview where a woke committee member said something like: "We will not allow the next basketball coach to have the power and control that Knight did. The new coach will work for the university, not the other way around." In other words, forget about a successful alpha male who could coach the team to a national power. They wanted someone humble and meek, who they could control. Which is exactly what they got.
  14. Video and article for his recent 35-point game. Shot 13 of 19 from the field. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/watch-class-of-2025-iu-basketball-target-jalen-haralson-goes-for-35-at-forum-tip-off/
  15. I know someone fairly high up with reliable inside information to that era. Someone on a committee, who heard a lot. There were woke people at IU in positions of power who hated sports, and IU basketball in particular. They took great joy in the damage caused. There was more than one person in the compliance department who thought it was his/her job to aggressively seek out infractions. Not protect the university, as is the case everywhere else. Combine that with weak leadership at the time, and it's easier to see how it happened.
  16. Lots of 2025 Kentucky names linked to Indiana: Recent Indiana visitor, point guard Ty Price is averaging 34 points per game this season. Another recent visitor is Top 40 guard Jasper Johnson. IU also looking closely at 6'5" Elijah Clinton and 6'9" Jayden Miles, both from Louisville Western.
  17. Up to 6.4 million illegal immigrants per year coming into US. For context, the entire population of Wisconsin is 5.9 million. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11530059/Astonishingly-EASIER-illegal-migrants-enter-TODD-BENSMAN.html
  18. Flory Bidunga starting out strong. I know he has his own thread, but thought I'd put this here instead: Game one: 34 points and 11 rebounds. Game two: 22 points, 10 rebounds and 12 blocked shots for his third career triple-double. He made 26 of 30 shots (86.7%) over the two games. For the season, he is averaging 21.4 points, 13 rebounds and 4.8 blocks and shooting 80.7%.
  19. A Dallas newspaper says he can't go back to his own house or be within 200 yards of it (or the woman). I'm guessing Christmas dinner will be awkward this year.
  20. Joke from a stand up comic, I can't remember his name: "Any song is a Christmas Carol if it's depressing enough."
