  1. Here's a real picture of Wilt Chamberlain in front of the Parthenon. I'm just trying to add to the conversation.
  2. Preview from Inside The Hall. IU favored by only 3 or 4 points. https://www.insidethehall.com/2022/11/16/three-things-to-watch-for-indiana-at-xavier/
  3. Bumping this, in case anyone missed his official visit pics from this past weekend. He was here the same time as Somto Cyril. I wonder if they met and spent time together? Glad Dylan's mom made the visit, too. I think Coach Woodson connects well with parents.
  4. New Jordan Geronimo article from Inside The Hall. https://www.insidethehall.com/2022/11/15/its-in-the-genes-jordan-geronimo-is-the-battery-off-indianas-bench/
  5. "When he stood on the deck of the battleship Missouri to witness the signing of the peace treaty, LeMay saw to it that hundreds of his B-29s thundered overhead." What a flex. We don't have leaders like this any more.
  6. Good to know. I've only seen the two articles I linked. Perhaps it has to do with allocation? The articles I've read said it will match funds in Hoosiers For Good, which is most of the basketball team. I knew it wasn't exclusively basketball, though. And there are a LOT of football players. Nice to hear from you, Steuben! You getting snow up there? I worked at Pokagon State Park for a few years. Great area.
  7. More on the NIL news, from Inside The Hall. I'm surprised this isn't being talked about more. It seems like a big deal for our players, and for recruiting. Anonymous donor commits $1 million in matching funds to IU NIL collectives https://www.insidethehall.com/2022/11/14/anonymous-donor-commits-1-million-in-matching-funds-to-iu-nil-collectives/
  8. They WON'T call fouls on him because he looks so mean. The guys intimidates.
  9. Indiana donor to match up to $1 million for NIL and IU players. To be used by the end of this year, if I read it correctly. This is awesome! Great for our players, great for recruiting. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-athletics-announces-1-million-pledge-for-nil/
  10. I think this should be our bench.
  11. "You used to run like you were angry at the grass." - Ted Lasso pep talk reference.
  12. From TheDailyHoosier. Somto is 2024. Considering reclassifying to '23. Ranked #25 in his class. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-2024-center-somto-cyril-currently-on-an-official-visit-at-indiana/
  13. From his official visit Nov 12, 2022.
  14. Along those lines: we had two visitors this weekend. 6'11" Somto Cyril, who some expect to go straight to the NBA. Current 2024, may reclassify to '23. Also a tough get, but he was on campus for an official. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-2024-center-somto-cyril-currently-on-an-official-visit-at-indiana/
  15. 6'11" Somto Cyril with an official visit this weekend (Nov 11-13, the same days as Dylan Harper). Cyril is #25 in his 2024 class (the #4 center), and may reclassify to 2023. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-2024-center-somto-cyril-currently-on-an-official-visit-at-indiana/
  16. One national ranking of Xavier from a few days ago. 27. XAVIER -- Exiled from Arizona and packing baggage, Sean Miller returns to Cincinnati to coach the Musketeers for his second tour -- after going to four NCAA tournaments from 2004-2009. Miller inherits a tough threesome in junior guard Colby Jones, senior forward Zach Freemantle and 7-foot senior Jack Nunge. Miller is good at what he does and he’s got enough talent to compete for a Big East championship.
  17. Your pre-game threads are the best, IUFLA. Much appreciated.
  18. That's a $100 meal at a nice restaurant. Wow that looks good. Great job!
  19. Free throws: Charleston 6 for 9. Carolina 27 for 38. Final score 102 - 86, UNC.
  20. As a kid, we got these, Mercury dimes, and silver quarters back in change. If you searched rolls from the bank, you could collect all you wanted for face value. Ben Franklin silver half-dollars? All you wanted. What an era for collecting. Once, a dozen of my penny rolls were 80% Indian Heads from the 1800's. Someone cashed them in, and I got them unopened. No key dates, and all well circulated, but it felt like a treasure to me. I never found a great coin. No 1909-S-VDB penny. Nothing even close. But I sure had fun looking.
  21. So many things to like about this team. After 5 years, good shooting has returned to Indiana!
  22. IU bench with 17 points so far. Wow.
