Trent Sisley visiting for this NC game. Ranked #33 in the class of 2025. Posted this also in his recruiting thread. Anyone know what other recruits will visit? There were seven on campus last week.

Trent will visit IU for the North Carolina game. He's currently rated #33 in the class of 2025. Info is on multiple sites, but I found it at The Daily Hoosier, which I encourage everyone to visit.

Way back when, a guy sat right behind the IU bench (I think at Wisconsin) and heckled Knight without mercy. All. Game. Long. Way over the top. Nasty, loud, and relentless. Today, he would have been banned. It was annoying to Knight, and distracting to the team. So Knight met with the guy. Not a stand up meeting, but had coffee together in a quiet place with no distractions. So they could just talk. Knight wasn't mad. Didn't threaten or intimidate. Instead, he won the heckler over. Gave him some IU gear. The heckler became Knight's biggest supporter. Even defended him against other hecklers in the crowd for years to follow. That's soft power, folks. I don't know what happened between Woodson and Adams, but I hope Woodson has a plan. I would hate for a good player to miss the Indiana Experience just because of a personal tiff between two people. That's not fair to the kids Adams works with.

A lot of those guys we didn't really go after, at least not particularly hard. No guarantee on every detail, but way back, someone posted something like this: In Archie's 4 years, every IU recruiting class was ranked above Purdue. In all 4 years, every Purdue freshman class overwhelmingly outplayed Indiana's freshman class. Points, victories, Freshman of the Week honors, head-to-head match ups, any measure you choose.

Would like to see it happen. A lot of kids here are in love with Purdue or Michigan. We've mostly missed on northern Indiana kids for 40 to 50 years now. How does that happen? I understand one high school coach not liking IU. I understand several high school coaches not liking one or more IU coaches. These things ebb and flow. But this goes back to last century. The people who had bad relationships back in the 70's are retired or dead. How have we mostly missed on recruits here since Richard Nixon was President? The occasional Tracy Foster or John Flowers isn't enough, given the talent. I truly don't understand how this could not have been improved by someone with a plan.

It's still early. Only 6 games sample. But the kid scores 10 points per game on 54% three-point shooting, and 100% free throws. He has a great looking shot. He's a threat to score from anywhere. It's possible he's not just another SG. We'll see how the season goes.

I've really enjoyed IUFLA's pre-games with the date, time, location, line ups, and overview on opposing team right at the top of the thread, as he has all season. So we can see everything at a glance without searching.
