  1. Nice! Thanks for posting. EJ is coming the same day as Top 50 guard Bryce Heard. I wonder how much interaction recruits have when they're on campus at the same time. This staff is busy, that's for sure. And not just talking to guys. They're getting them on campus.
  2. Billy The Kid born Nov 23, 1859. He lived several years of his childhood in Indiana. Basketball wasn't invented yet, but he would have been a shooter for sure. https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/this-day-history-nov-23-1859-western-outlaw-billy-kid-born-new-york-city
  3. I enjoyed The Lincoln Highway. After reading it, I had a nice correspondence with the author.
  4. 2025 guard Braylon Mullins has an unofficial to IU Wednesday Nov 23. Greenfield-Central HS, Indiana. 6’4” Guard GPA 3.8 I don't know if he's nationally ranked, but he's rated the best shooting guard in Indiana for the 2025 class. The Indy Star rates him the 4th best 2025 player in the state for all positions.
  5. Article about Bryce Heard from The Daily Hoosier today! It also mentions the other multiple Montverde players we're recruiting, and who have visited. I hope our current freshmen have spectacular seasons. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-2025-montverde-top-50-guard-bryce-heard-visiting-friday/
  6. Another $10 billion for covid, plus reinstating mask mandates (which were proven to not work) for a pandemic that was declared over. The comments under the article are pointed. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/mask-mandate-return-hhs-report-wants-encourage-mandate-masking-stop-long-covid
  7. The Fort Wayne Mastodons beat Archie Miller's IU team by 20 points, 92 - 72, in Bloomington. Fort Wayne bombed in 17 three-pointers over the pack line defense. May these dark days never return.
  8. Let Duncomb shoot threes instead of Race and our percentage will go up.
  9. I put him high on the list because he played good basketball while having Archie Miller as a coach. Trayce also had zero outside shooting support for his whole career. Even last year, we couldn't shoot threes. Ranked #300 in the country, or something like that. He has accomplished a lot even as defenses could focus on just him. He never blamed others. Just kept working on his game, getting better, and representing Indiana University. That's killer. I hope he finds a place in the NBA and makes $200 million.
  10. Forecast to bottom out at 9 degrees in Madison, Wi.
  11. Nov 18, 2022 Armaan Franklin scored a career-high 26 points, as No. 16 Virginia defeated No. 5 Baylor 86-79 on Friday night.
  12. Bitter old female basketball coach hates on beautiful young female gymnast for making NIL money. Gymnast tells her to stuff it. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/lsus-olivia-dunne-ends-nil-drama-only-taking-steps-forward
  13. Game Day article from The Daily Hoosier. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-indiana-at-xavier-game-day-essentials/
  14. You posted a shoddy quick screen grab that looks like a child did it. At the same time, I invested an extra 4 minutes to research and type a thoughtful post that contributed to the betterment of this site, basketball in general, and perhaps all of mankind. There is talk of a Pulitzer.
  15. His 3rd school in 3 years. Freshman at Miami Florida; then Louisville; now UMASS. Career so far is just okay. Not bad, not great. 6.3 points per game. 3.7 rebounds. 53% from the field. We talk about role players for 4 years, vs one and dones. I do not want one and done role players. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/matt-cross-1.html
  16. A Scott May quote! During the '76 32-0 season, Sports Illustrated did a cover story on IU basketball. It talked about the team's utter dominance. How the defense was so good, other teams gave up trying to score - they were just happy to complete a pass (a great line, btw). They interviewed players, all of whom kept it cool, as Knight would have wanted. No bragging, no assumptions about the next game. Then Scott May put a point on how strong the team was: "Actually, we are just blowing the doors off everyone."
  17. Way back when, after transferring from IU, a former player lost the tip of a finger to a piranha when he reached into someone's fish tank. I think it was either Simmons or Rich Valavicius. Anyone know?
  18. Uwe graduated. Got married. He and his wife had a baby. Bob Knight visited. Knight (to Uwe's wife): "Whatever you do, don't let him hold that baby, because he'll drop it."
  19. He enjoyed his recent visit. A lot. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/somto-cyril-liked-what-he-saw-during-iu-basketball-visit-including-opportunity-to-play-next-year/
