  1. The comments on this 1-minute video are great. "Imagine doing this when you go to the office every morning."
  2. You thought about Indiana enough to join our board today just to tell us that you don't think about us.
  3. NBA G-league player Steeve Ho You Fat. His real name. Can you imagine the NIL jersey sales this guy could have had?
  4. I wish I could "like" this post 100 times. So often people say "he just needs more confidence." Not if the player has incorrect shooting form. And shooting 500 shots a day with bad form won't move the needle. A flat shot, for example, shrinks the size of the basket drastically. Gotta have the right arc. I believe we have players who will work hard, and take instruction. I hope we see results this year, if any steps were taken to improve this area.
  5. Totally agree. We've been the worst shooting BigTen team for 5 long years. I'm curious what steps they've taken to address this, with the current players. Woodson implemented defense last year, with very good results. But improved shooting solves so many problems, and helps recruiting. Especially 3-point shooting.
  6. Wisconsin's fired coach Chryst accepts an $11 million buyout. Less than the $18 to $20 million his contract stipulated. Speculation is the $11 million is his no matter what, while the larger amount would have been offset by future employment. His new contract (before he was fired) had 4 more years to go, at $5 million per year. Edit: he was the first Wisconsin head football coach to be fired in 33 years. His 72% win percentage is second all-time.
  7. Agree. Some people are only happy when they can make other people unhappy. That defines so much of the Twitter user base. I've known people like this. If everyone around them is doing great, that person is miserable. If they can cause everyone else to be miserable, they're on top of the world.
  8. It actually started before him, with the newly named UW-Madison chancellor Donna Shalala. She turned UW sports around. She identified and pursued Pat Richter. He said no. More than once. So Donna Shalala recruited Pat Richter's wife. Came at it from that angle. Talked about his legacy, how important change would mean to the university. She would not take "no" for an answer. Pat Richter finally said yes, and things started rolling. She was determined to make UW sports great. Because it was financially smart to do so. That's what I haven't seen Indiana do. Set winning as a priority by the people at the top, and having a plan to make it happen. Be willing to make the investments required. She may have gotten lucky in the eventual hires for both football and basketball. It's not science, or everyone would do it. But she made her own luck. She was a master politician. Later work included a cabinet position for the United States, President at the University of Miami, and being elected to the US House of Representatives. She knew how to get things done behind the scenes. So yeah, the entire BigTen got their football and basketball butts kicked for a generation by a 4'11" woman.
  9. It's a tough business. From a Madison TV station: "Chryst joined Wisconsin from Pittsburgh before the 2015 season and lead the Badgers to seven straight bowl game appearances, winning six of them. He won the Big Ten West three times, but could never do enough to win a Big Ten Championship. The 2022 season has started roughly for Wisconsin. An upset from Washington State and two blowout losses in a row to Ohio State and Illinois have the team sitting near the bottom of the conference standings."
  10. Dra and his earrings will always be part of the Purdue family.
  11. Both Flory Bidunga and Trent Sisley will be at HH, according to The Daily Hoosier. Sisley is a 6'8" Top-30 soph, and an AAU teammate of IU target Jalen Haralson. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/the-daily-hoosier-report-the-latest-in-iu-news-and-recruiting-notes-9-30/
  12. If you could add just one current NBA player to the IU roster this season, who would you pick? Would we win the national title by adding that one player? Edit: every comment gets at least one "like" emoji. Unless it's the Purdue posters.
  13. To be clear, this does not include Purdue vs Indiana with us up by 1 and them on the free throw line with no time left.
  14. Mt Horeb, Wisconsin (near me) has an auctioneer named Richard Lust. I'm sure none of his friends have ever made a single joke. Edit: I can't believe I celebrated my 700th post with this.
  15. Nice Logan Duncomb article. Sounds like he's lifted weights and has an edge now. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/duncombs-iu-basketball-teammates-are-impressed-logan-is-going-to-provide-a-lot-for-us-this-year/
  16. Thanks, guys! Much appreciated. I have quotes from the dealer, and from the local Firestone franchise. Similar prices. I've had no issues with tire wear, pulling, steering wheel placement, or anything else. Supposedly, these are better tires than what came with the new car. I don't know if I need that upgrade, either. The alignment is "only" $100 or more for 4 tires. I hate wasting money if it's just a hustle. But maybe it's insurance to avoid a problem down the road (HA! See what I did there?). Google search gives mixed answers. The people who sell alignment say you need it. Others say if you haven't had problems in the past, you don't. I trust HSN more than Google.
  17. Four new tires for a Subaru sedan. I Google searched this question, and got conflicting information. Anyone here have an informed opinion? It's around $100 to $150 extra. I don't know if it's needed, or they're just trying to upsell. Thanks!
  18. Kohls rejected a buyout offer of $60 / share this year. Played cute in negotiations, and tried to squeeze just a little bit more out of the deal. Then it fell apart, and the stock crashed. Like they didn't even pay attention to Shopko, which had the same exact thing happen, before they went out of business.
  19. No Air Force tattoo yet? C'mon, tell her to get with the program.
  20. 700-year-old manuscript worth $10,000. https://nypost.com/2022/09/24/bargain-hunter-will-sideri-scores-700-year-old-medieval-manuscript/
  21. Anyone who didn't use a magnifying glass on plastic soldiers didn't have a childhood. If you did it right, they would catch fire instead of just melt. Then you could drip fire, which was the coolest thing. I bet every person of a certain age knows exactly what I'm talking about.
