  1. Woody made a decision that has less to do with tonight, or the 2022 NCAA tournament than it does the future of IU Basketball. This is the very definition of BUILDING something.
  2. Flat out, I appreciate Woody having the balls to do this, and listen to his presser. He is the right person to restore IU. No doubt about it.
  3. I was wondering how many suspensions does a guy get before it's no longer a suspension?
  4. Seems to me with a story as big as 5 players being suspended, the announcers could've mentioned it....once.....
  5. Listening to Louisville sports radio, and one of the hosts said that UofL had to reach out to Stevens and make him say "no". That sounded vaguely familiar and got me to thinking. Has the legend of Brad Stevens outpaced the man himself? I know he is a good coach, but is he the savior that so many fan bases think he is? Could he possibly live up to the hype if he came back to college basketball? I know he took two consecutive teams to the Championship game, but that was 10 years ago. He also went 49-24 over the next two seasons, missing the tournament once and losing in the first weekend the other. Would a fanbase tolerate that if they hired the Legend of Brad Stevens? Again, I'm not debating that he is a good coach, that's not the point here. My question is, could he live up to the hype created around him, and could that be a reason he wouldn't return to the college game?
  6. Can anyone tell me another word in the English language where the "ck" is silent?
  7. C'mon....are they really "girls' if they're in their 80'S?
  8. Surely to God there's more than 12!!! You must be thinking of West Lafayette.
  9. Uh oh. I heard the FAA is looking into this as Jordan had not filed any flight plans.
  10. Scott would have sent a sternly worded e-mail.....
  11. I think it was mentioned earlier, but Stewarts new doo.,,,,
  12. I gotta admit I like this. Geronimo played mybe his best game ever, but when he got lost on defense his but was immediately on the bench with what looked like some choice words from coach. I love that coach is not coddling these guys, not only does it develop them, but I think it improves team chemistry when guys know there are consequences.
  13. I think it could be argued that both of them walked into terrible circumstances. Louisville's athletic department is a dumpster fire and appears to be at war with the administration. We all know the issues IU had. Like our current team, that's not as good as it looks sometimes, or as bad as it appears others, the same can be said about Miller and Mack.
  14. For those of you who were pining for Chris Mack, he may be available soon.....very soon.
  15. Wait a sec. Coaching YOUR team on THURSDAY, on the ROAD....and don't like X? Soooo, how do you feel about pork chops?
  16. Two options: 1. This may be the only time you ever see Championship banners over a Purdue floor....... OR 2. Grab some paper towels, someone peed on the Assembly Hall floor.
  17. Man, I had a really long and hard day at work today. Rough in every aspect. When I came home, sat down, and checked this thread, this was the first thing I saw, and I litterally laughed out loud. All of the days stresses melted away. Thank you for this.
  18. Notice too, that in the locker room after the game, when coach is congratulating Durr, Trace was the first guy to run across the locker room and congratulate him. Seriously, who wouldn't want a teammate like that?
  19. I agree with this, but the flip side is that there was a confidence gained last night, and if it takes hold, could make us dangerous.
  20. I'm not sure I've ever been happier for a kid, than I am for Rob tonight. Through it all, that kid has been nothing short of class, and even when his offensive game disappeared and he couldn't buy a shot, he always put in maximum effort on defense. Fans wanted him benched, saying he was what he was, and that Lander should get his minutes. Tonight, he beat our most hated rival, his hometown team, and the #4 team in the nation. When he missed the shot before the big shot, you could see it on his face, he wanted it again . It was a confidence not seen in him in a long time. So, to dust off an old award, the Memorial MileHiiu Gameball goes to Rob Phinisee. Congrts to X as well. Funny how the two most maligned players just led IU to their biggest win in a long time. Keep it rolling fellas.
  21. I'm guessing Rob's corner is getting pretty full about now.....
  22. No worries. McDonalds doesn't require one........
