  1. I googled "Double D" to see who you were talking about....pretty interesting....I'll probably be off the board for awhile.....
  2. In no particular order: 5Fouls marital advice Bluegrass' family tree Scott's sense of nostalgia What a "True Fan" is Purdue's Helms banner Substitution patterns
  3. I'm really not sure what to make of this. No one on this board pines for the "Old School IU" than you Scott, and i don't think there is anyone on our roster who better represents the "Old School IU" than Trey. I firmly believe Coach Knight would've loved Trey Galloway, and quite frankly, I'm shocked you of all people don't.
  4. I agree with this. When Woodson said he was hard on his point guards, I thought the writing was on the wall. Lander seems like a great kid, but I've never been convinced he is one to thrive under "hard" coaching. I think if he finds the right situation with the right coach, he can really be something special.
  5. Don't forget that Coach Knight shot someone in a hunting accident, and in Scott's eyes, that's murder.....
  6. Looks like dbmhoosier got another screen name. There is a certain segment of our fanbase that is constantly suggesting that with every misstep, Woodson will or should be fired. What is amusing is that many of these same folks are the ones who advocated for Calipari, Pitino, Pearl, and so on. So is that just a short term memory loss, or is it a sliding scale of ethics?
  7. I heard there was a body in the trunk.....
  8. So using your logic, he should be charged with murder, because he could've killed someone, even though he didn't?
  9. I have never in my life seen anyone root against all aspects of a university the way you do. Is it personal? Did you apply and not get into IU? Did you go to IU and have something traumatizing happen? What is your story?
  10. Early in my time at IU I had a Chevelle with a 454. One day coming down the hill on 446 towards lake Monroe, I floored it, and tipped just over 105 as I went across the lake. I got scared and backed out of it. Those were fun times.
  11. We probably have a thousdand hours of video of missed wide open threes this year alone....show him that.
  12. In most places that would be the kiss of death. WAIT!!! Did he give him the "Fist" speech?!?!?1
  13. Oh! Well, if its been going on all season, by all means, carry on then.....
  14. Isn't that a violation since he isn't even in the portal?
  15. Anybody think these girls ever show up in assembly Hall wearing the opposing teams gear? Asking for a friend.
  16. A couple of fringe observations I've made during this ...event. I was worried when we hired Woodson that if things didn't go well, we'd never be able to fire him because he was "family". I'm not worried about that any more. CMW suspended players before a critical, must win, game and almost cost us a chance at the NCAA tournament. Then he fired an assistant/former player. That says to me he is serious about this, and you are either all in or on the outside. It's almost like he's running his program like it's a military, and he's the leader....a general, if you will. Some are upset that CMW made it clear in his statement, that it was his decision. I 100% respect him for owning what he undoubtedly knew was going to be a difficult decision. It leaves no room for doubt as to who is in charge. I used to work for a company that always put out a generic "left to pursuit other opportunities" statement whenever someone was let go. Everybody knew it was BS, to the point we used to joke with one and other that "we have no other opportunities, nor are we seeking any" Most of our fanbase has been clamoring for a long time for someone to put IU back in it's rightful place and restore order. It's going to take a firm hand to do that, and some feelings are likely going to be hurt along the way.
  17. I don't know one way or another on this stuff, but what I do know is that it wouldn't be unreasonable to think MSU would look the other way on bad behavior.
  18. I have news that is going to break this wide open. The conspiracy theorists are right on the money. I have it on good authority that whenever Scott Dolson was mad at coach Fife, he would place a house plant in the window of his office. This was a signal to Rabby, who would drive up and down the street waiting for the signal. Once the signal was given, the two would meet in a parking garage at a predetermined time to discuss the issues. Rabby would then "leak" those issues to various IU message boards. I happened catch onto this signal yesterday, and I went to the parking garage early and waited in my car. I overheard, Dolson Rabby, and Woody discussing Woody's pending statement, and they all agreed to the use of code words. They agreed that "appreciate" would actually mean "despise", and that "part of the Hoosier family" would mean "sack of s#!^ a$$#0<e", and finally that "him well in his future pursuits" would actually stand for "He had never been born" They joked and laughed as they discussed it, trying to find the perfect wording. They shared a secret handshake, and went their separate ways. After the official statement was read, they met up at the Office Lounge, where they were joined by Wittman and toasted each other for the remainder of the night. As I left, I overheard them laughing about fleecing the Hoosier fanbase. Needing something to get my mind off of the current situation, and feeling a little nostalgic, I went home and watched Deep Throat.
  19. Probably don't have a lot to add to this conversation, but I knew several people who were in Bloomington and on the fringes of his circle during Dane's playing days, they told many stories that painted him in a certain light. Suffice it to say if as someone posted, Dane was 100% IU, then he was 125% Dane. I know people mature, but character can be seen early and usually doesn't change a lot. I don't know if any of Rabby's post is true, but none of it would surprise me based on the things I have previously heard, its consistent with those early stories I was told. All of that said, I still love Dane Fife. I hope he does well where ever he ends up, and I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to him coming back to lead IU in the future.
  20. You are one of my favorite posters on this board, and I agree with everything you said here. I was just funnin ya a little.
  21. Few more posts like this, and you may be required to change your avatar......
  22. You remind me of someone who worked for Bleacher report: The Indianapolis Colts' selection of South Carolina State linebacker Darius Leonard with the fourth pick in the second round was one of the draft's worst moves. They took four second-rounders, so they had plenty of room for error, but this one stands out as a head-scratcher.
  23. Well, to be fair, one of Shep's complaint's about X, is that he isn't a team first guy. Go back and watch the Illinois game. Late in the game, X had several critical free throws, and not once did he pass it to one of his team mates, he took those shots all himself, and he didn't even try to miss one of them, so Trace or Race could get a rebound and maybe a put back. Nope, he hit them all, trying to hog all the glory. Who want's to play with a guy like that...I mean, what a selfish a-hole.
