  1. In my house “Purdue” is a curse word.
  2. Ummm. Archie lost to Purdue badly at Assembly Hall on the night Coach Knight returned to the hall…so there is that….
  3. If Edey wore an IU jersey he’d have two fouls at the tip, and as long as Woody didn’t sit him, he’d foul out before the under 12 minute time out.
  4. Would this be a bad time to point out Knecht scored 39 tonight for the Vols?
  5. In a game we lost by 21, we were outscored at the FT line by 18. This is clearly NOT the Hall of Calls.
  6. He hates IU more than Hummel.
  7. The outcome was completely unexpected for me. We lost to them last year in Iowa on a buzzer beater 3 from Clark. That wouldn’t have been unexpected, but the absolute beat down was. Like Bluegrass, I love this team, and enjoy them more than the men most nights, but I’m beginning to think the ceiling is a littler lower than I had originally expected.
  8. See if any of this sounds familiar. IU goes an the road against a good team and gets curb stomped on National TV, because: They can’t shoot They turn the ball over They can’t hit free throws They can’t defend the three They can’t match the energy level of the opponent. Some “unknown” player has a career night WTH, is this crap contagious?
  9. Not since Kobe has there been a player that embraced the moment more than Clark.
  10. Last night reminded me of this : https://www.insidethehall.com/2009/02/07/hoosier-loss-overshadowed-by-dumes-shenanigans/ Of course Devin would later be charged with attempted murder, so I guess that Sutton kid should be grateful he got a ball tap.
  11. It may be time to “hump them over the get”
  12. I’d like to see Dolson remove the RMK patches from the jerseys and all of the coaches gear. They do not deserve it and this is certainly no way to honor coach knight.
  13. CMW should be embarrassed if this is what he is putting on the floor to represent IU basketball. I’ve never seen a team that lacked so much in fundamentals and was so mentally weak.
  14. I don’t necessarily hate the play call at face value. Clearly, if executed properly it’s a 1st down and more. However, it was the most important play of the season, and we had an inaccurate passer throwing to an inexperienced receiver. We didn’t have the best personnel to make that play successful. Simply put we did not put the best people into position to be successful. If IU is down 3 with 10 seconds to play against Rutgers this week and Woodson draws up a last play for Jordan Rayford to take a 3, I will be upset with the play call. That last play did not put the team in the best position to be successful. I get we didn’t have a choice with Minshew, but why Gooden in that moment? He had 6 receptions all year! Why not Moss or Taylor, or even Downs? Why isn’t Taylor in the game even as a decoy?
  15. Not sure what doesn’t make sense. I’m sure Shane is second guessing this morning. Hell, he basically said as much last night. And Minshew has been inaccurate his whole career, he also said last night that he should’ve thrown a better ball there. He spun Goodson around as opposed to hitting him in stride, do you not see it that way? Troy Aikman said as much as well.
  16. When you need 1 yard and you have two backs averaging 6 yards per carry, one with 188 yards rushing, but you choose to throw to a guy with 6 receptions all year, I think it’s fair to question the play. It reminds me of Marshawn Lynch in the Super Bowl. Scott, can we now agree that Minshew does not throw an accurate ball?
  17. I thought that was one of the strangest officiated games I’ve ever seen. To say they let them play would be a serious understatement. I thought the game was way too physical, and I believe games like this are why the B1G struggles in the tournament.
  18. Holy crap! Who had “I just have to get them over the hump” in the game thread? Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!!!!
  19. Someone in the game thread said that a coach can preach until he is blue in the face, but it’s up to the players to execute. I agree, except that it is then the coaches job to put said player/s on the bench until they conform. Coach Knight was a big believer in the bench as a motivator, how did CMW not learn that?
  20. My son asked me tonight when the last time IU had a good basketball team was…..I couldn’t give him an answer.
  21. Sure glad X came back. We are a completely different team with him on the floor….
  22. Maybe if we had smaller shoes, or recruited kids with smaller feet, we wouldn’t dribble off our feet so much…
  23. The legend of Xavier Johnson is so much better than the reality…..
