  1. IU should be looking to upgrade both wing positions. I love Galloway as a player but he is extremely limited offensively.
  2. If you’re fine shrugging off an obvious swing and miss by the staff, then more power to you. But don’t tell me how to act. This was clearly a player that the staff wanted and one that could significantly help next years team.
  3. Ledlum’s OV was announced two weeks in advance..
  4. I’m straight asking, who is currently schedule to take a visit? Was it a secret when Sparks, Ware, and Ledlum showed up over night?
  5. He’s a bully ball wing. Think Dylan Harper. His success off the bounce is attributed to his size and strength.
  6. Who in the portal has IU targeted or made head way with in the way the staff had with Ledlum? For a program that supposedly is a big player in the NIL market and has a staff with a ton of NBA connections, kids aren’t lining up to play for IU like you think they would.
  7. We need to get past the idea of position labels. Ledlum has the versatility to play inside out. Ledlum is more proven than any single player on IU’s roster next year, hell he just committed to a team with a better roster than IU. He’s not afraid of competition, clearly.
  8. Who in the portal is scheduled to visit? We’re supposedly recruiting Cormac Ryan. Guess what, he’s in Chapel Hill today. Dalton Knecht? Just announced he’s stopping his recruitment. Think he commits without a visit?
  9. He’s a tweener that would have played a ton of minutes. I have serious reservations about both Reneau and Ware playing 30 mpg next year, let alone on the court together. Would have been long stretches with Ledlum paired with Reneau/Ware.
  10. IU doesn’t have a single player who averaged double figures last year returning. He absolutely fills a position of need; scoring. Our off-guard/wings for next year are Galloway, Gunn, Banks, and Newton who was hurt most of his senior year. We have 3 open scholarships. You could have recruited Ledlum and still taken 2 sharpshooters from the portal. IU needs bucket getters in the worst way possible.
  11. That’s not at all what he was implying. But he was in Knoxville just last weekend and the entire UT staff was in his living room a few days later.
  12. Does there have to be noise? It’s clear the staff prioritized Ledlum. He was the first portal offer. The first kid the entire staff went to see. They got him on campus for an OV. If that isn’t “noise” I’m not sure what is? Have you seen the staff put that type of effort and energy into any other portal target? They wanted Ledlum. Bad. I don’t know why this has to be sugar coated to anything other than what it is, a big miss.
  13. Better hope someone like Banks or Gunn takes a major leap.
  14. Who else in the portal has the staff spent more time, effort, energy, and resources on than Ledlum? They’ve been recruiting him for a month. I’m not uptight over anybody. Simply ridiculing those who don’t see this as a significant miss and potentially a huge blow to next seasons success. This isn’t the, “oh well on to the next one” type miss.
  15. Only if you stop sugarcoating a significant miss by the staff on a player they clearly prioritized from day 1.
  16. He was the first kid IU offered out of the portal and the first kid the entire staff went to visit out of the portal. You tell me chief.
  17. I don’t care about “portal rankings”. I’m looking at a major miss for both wing depth and scoring versatility, something of which Ledlum checks both boxes.
  18. I don’t put a whole lot of stock in to what Rabjohns has to say these days. Whether or not he was sold is the job of the staff, a player that has been #1 priority for a month.
  19. This is a player that the staff immediately identified after the loss to Miami and instantly became priority #1. It’s a huge miss and Woody and the rest of the staff would be the first to say it.
  20. How is this a bullet dodged? He’s a grown a** man who is a triple threat scorer. Given the amount of production and experience IU loses, this was a perfect piece to add. He would have thrived in the B10 with his physicality and aggressiveness.
  21. Not sure if this has been mentioned prior, but Adam Howard is the son of former IUPUI coach and Louisville player Todd Howard. Howard was Ron Hunter's right hand man for almost 20 years here in Indy and got to take over when Hunter left for Georgia State. He's the current head coach at Brebeuf.
  22. Knecht is a high volume 3 point shooter and everyone in that starting lineup with the exception of Reneau would be honored offensively out to the 3 point line. Much better spacing than last years team. Xavier Johnson is explosive and Knecht is an underrated athlete, but my biggest fear would be overall lack of quickness.
  23. Ware was almost assuredly a first round pick had he left after this year, possibly a lottery pick even. Would guess you’d have to be pretty motivated to turn down life-changing money to come back and bet on yourself.
