Listening to local radio today and the guest was Eddie Johnson a former teammate of Woodson. I guess Eddie was having lunch with Woodson during the interview. Johnson is in town for the all star game and was wondering why Woodson was in Indy.

Eddie was having lunch with Woodson.   He should have asked him why else he was in town if he was wondering.

FWIW, Rabby retweeted a post today from Adidas saying they signed this kid.

Based on latest intel, we are the only Adidas school listed that he was planning on taking a visit too.

This has to help.  Adidas is smart enough to realize IU needs a guard or 3 and needs to protect its marketing investment.  Send em our way adidas.  Thank you.

    this this this

I think we all had all our fingers crossed that X would regain his magic from the last 6 games of 21-22 when he avg like 17, 6 assist 1.5 turnovers and was sticky glue on defense.  The broken foot and all the stuff this year, sadly he's a shell of that.  And it's been totally true he's never been a leader.  We put all the leadership on Trey.

  4. Anyone else done with this thread for now?  Not much else new to say for or against.

Did our it guys ever figure out a way to mute a conversation?  Sure ignore, but I respect most posters contributing here.  It's just the conversation.   This one and the mlb boxes trivia thing.  Mute these 2 and I'm a happy camper 😆

    Ball State, Eastern Michigan?

He can't play in the Big East or ACC, either, cmon now.

I'm guessing Gunn is a practice all star, especially against our defense.   Probably swishes those 19 foot jumpers all day long.  He'll go score 18 a game somewhere lower or even benefit from the Tamar Bates effect and be the 2nd best player on a real bad team, maybe DePaul.

Banks.   Just doesn't have a comfort for the game or ball skills to play the bigger wing spot in power 6 ball.

Michael deserves another year, and I’m confident he’ll be on the bench when next season begins. He’s earned that. I’m also confident that Scott is attuned to the concerns of fans, and he’s shown a willingness to move on coaches when the time is right. When that time arrives, he’ll act, and he continues to enjoy my full support.

Tell us you're a Dolson staffer without telling us you're a Dolson staffer.

We need Intel, tidbits, scoop.  Real inside information that someone in your position would have.  Like, who's on Dolson's short list?  Who has he already been in contact with through the good ole back channels.

My brother is retiring soon from his job in a few months. He decided to get a part time job being an usher at Gainbridge Field House. He will be working Friday night and Sunday for the actual game.

That's cool.  The stagehand union asked for off duty firefighters to help.  If I didn't have the boys during the day on my days off I would have jumped on it.  I know a retired guy that works down there for fun and fun money.

Jay Billas among others have said he could potentially end up as that level of coach once he makes a move to a bigger school. What he's doing at FAU is almost as impressive as Stevens at Butler.

Butler had a really solid foundation.  So May building that thing on his own, if he can sustain is really impressive.

Woodson gave up last night.  It got bad and he went and sat his @$$ on the bench and just waited for it to be over.  It is an NBA attitude.  "Welp, we just don't have it tonight.  Just got to get through it and do better in the next one."  It is part of why I don't like the NBA.  You got 80+ games and inevitably you have teams that know they don't have "it" and the whole organization acts like it.  That was Indiana last night.

I would have left Woodson in West Lafayette last night if I were Dolson but that won't happen.  So we are stuck with Woodson for next year, you better believe that the conversation on what this is not going to look like going forward would start bright and early this morning.  Hill would be off the payroll next year.  One half asleep guy on the bench is more than enough.  I am already paying for one washed up dude's retirement, I am not doing it for 2 anymore.

There are a few sucker fans out there who are likely going to have Dolson at their door at this time next year begging for another couple million to once again right the University's mistakes.  I hope they are smart enough to put some conditions on that money this next time.

I hate it as much as anyone but this post is just straight up the facts laid out in front of us.  Age is different for everyone.  But these guys just don't have the pep in their step.  The old saying, "they have forgotten more about basketball than I ever knew," is too true.  We made Braden Smith look like prime Nash.  They could get an open shot after 2 passes on nearly every possession.   We make basketball look really hard.  We have 1.5 guys who can dribble.  It's insane.  Mbako is good for a kick out of bounds at least once a game and twice yesterday.

Ware can shoot from 3. Pick and pop with ware. If edey goes with Ware, open lane for a driver. If he doesn’t, ware for 3.

i understand there are variations here and I’m simplying but… is it this hard?!

And if i recall, Ware's 3 late in the game was not because of a pnr.

    I have no idea 🤷‍♂️

It was discussed in the game thread.  The refs were checking the clock.  The announcers must have assumed and stated a timeout but both teams had 3 left at the half.  Woodson had called two earlier.  Still should have put the athletic 7 footer in.
