  1. Yep, they said they would be evaluating her daily.
  2. Im watching too. She said, "I don't trust myself." She has the guts to come out and tell her teammates that she was done and to cheer them on. It actually made me feel better about the situation. The look on her face is unusual. Very little smiles and a face of doubt, very much not like her. Even before she bowed out, one of the announcers said he has literally never seen her make the mistake she did. Something wasn't right. Ive had anxiety for a period in my life and it manifested as stabbing chest and shoulder pain. I got sick and had to shut my life down for 2 weeks and it all went away and I had a revelation that I wasn't able to control everything exactly the way I wanted. Read this quote that said, "will this matter in 5 years? If not, don't worry about it." Sure people will talk about this in 5 years but will it matter?
  3. I love Simone Biles. I worried her head had reached maximum ability to enlarge without over inflating when she sewed rhinestones into the shape of a GOAT on her uniform for the trials. It was too long later when she stumbled twice, something she was not doing for a long time, performing basically flawlessly for years. She still is the GOAT but its not a good look regardless of how wrecked she may be emotionally.
  4. Pretty sure that's where they are going which is why Fox, B1G, Pac12 and anyone of value left in the acc would have to also merge.
  5. From everything we heard publicly Michigan State and Penn state's athletic departments were complicit in covering up crimes to women and children nonetheless, some going on for years some for over a decade. At the very least Penn State should never have been allowed to have a football team ever again. If Kansas hasn't been punished for cheating they're never going to be punished so I hope they fall into the American conference and become totally irrelevant.
  6. https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2021/03/17/cable-and-satellite-tv-use-has-dropped-dramatically-in-the-u-s-since-2015/ Big drops in the last 5-6 years. There is still money being paid for these add ons like extra sports on sling etc. Espn, fox sports etc seem to constantly expand though revenues and viewership was pounded during covid.
  7. Good question. Ive heard both ways that a lot of people just say screw and go back to cable. I haven't seen data though.
  8. I have a friend who's brother is an assistant coach at Baylor, no i get zero info from him. Anyways, he says the waco and baylor community at large are just phenomenal. He went down there to live a few years but came back for a ministry job. Baylor would bring Dallas tv market into the fold, #5 in the nation. Thats value.
  9. Iowa st seems kinda cool but B1G is already in the region so I dont see the value added. ND would add value from a national pull regardless of their location. Ok st has deep pockets. I go back to markets. A dallas team or steal GA Tech(Atlanta). If A & M is really butt hurt grab them and try and steal Georgia from SEC along with them. If that fails poach the acc, which they should do anyways IMO. This is a basketball board and one random twitter guy says Kansas is coming and everyone is all excited. They are right behind Penn st and Michigan st for athletic departments that i would like to see burn to the ground, never allowed to rebuild.
  10. I have a draft strategy and hope it plays out. I look over one or 2 standard sites for player rankings and positional rankings. Im not going to do more research than a team of professionals. On draft day have those lists ready to look at to help make quick final decisions. Im sure some have way more complicated systems
  11. Daily reminder this is about money over proximity to old conference boundaries and football pulls more than basketball.
  12. I'm down with playing them I just wish the NCAA would have hit them with a hammer a few years ago instead they've done nothing.
  13. I personally would like to see Kansas left hanging like a dry fish dead out of water moving into the American conference
  14. Anyone else think when this is all said and done B1G and SEC go to 20 teams?
  15. You are in a different boat. Im sure it was more than a Dr's word for you. Sometimes you gotta follow that still small voice and Im sure many decisions in your life are lead and made with the peace of God. And thanks to all. She just hit 3rd trimester Monday. So far so good. Another boy.
  16. That sucks and i hate to hear that. Must be the nature of this thing and the vaccine as well, as i have heard more than a few people telling stories of blood clots 2-3 days to weeks after the vaccine. Can we all agree that china has a price to pay?
  17. Im not trying to discredit the vaccine but people will go way out of their way to try and explain any risks away. Why is it ok for this to be so one sided? Question for the board at large and society, especially media. My wife is 6 months pregnant. If i could have video recorded our pediatrician and her ob when we said we weren't getting the vaccine I would share but it basically went like this. Big sigh of relief and a I dont blame you and you dont need it. My grandfather's neurologist has told my family not to get a vaccine for something that is likely not to kill or seriously debilitate you. They are convinced his ALS started after a reaction to the flu vaccine. I don't know, I truly dont, i remain skeptical. Im not anti vax, I'm for people making their own decisions. My 2.5 year old is up to date on major vax and Ive had a boat load in my life but don't need a flu shot or covid at this point in my life and neither do a vast majority of professional athletes. Sorry to be off subject. I hope i never make another post about vaccines or covid again because I wont change your mind and let me let you in on a secret. You won't change mine either. Good day, good health.
  18. Since you ignored the post previously and now doubled down. Have you had a chance to look at the Health and Human Services Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting site I linked a few days ago? https://vaers.hhs.gov/data.html I can walk anyone through how to load up a massive data sheet on COVID-19 vaccine adverse events. A little more than sore arms, i know, shocking.
  19. It doesn't matter if people watch, its on their subscriptions and thats what pays the bills. Rutgers isn't going anywhere. Is the B1G more attractive than the ACC? Thats a major question and I would say no, considering ESPN money and the slobberfest they have going on there. So we can likely rule out anymore ACC schools jumping ship. The SEC money is too much to walk away from so that's also not likely. The dream scenarios are snag Texas or T A & M and Georgia. The 2 biggest markets within B1G reach, Dallas and Atlanta. IMO
  20. Ah yes I have been talking about the Big 10 expanding for 2 days now. Misread that little 12.
  21. Im saying the B1G is likely already on those tvs in that region.
  22. Cincinnati is already in the middle of the Big ten footprint so they're likely not a candidate. Memphis is one from a geographical standpoint that may open up a market many have not considered. Id still be considering trying to lute Georgia tech before them . Houston is certainly one to consider with the number eight TV market. I know this is all speculative. I wonder if Kansas was offered last time before Nebraska was, Kansas said no Nebraska said yes. It may also be that Nebraska was at one time a national football brand and the Big ten was hoping for a resurrection.
  23. Kansas is a basketball force but a small market compared to Dallas/Ft worth.
  24. Other expansions have been about market grabs. TCU or Baylor would grab the 5th largest and Georgia Tech would grab the 7th. The remaining stragglers of the B12 would be in trouble and likely merge with the American. Kansas, k state, Oklahoma state (undervalued-filthy rich booster), texas tech, west Virginia, tcu, baylor, and iowa state. Its been said that kansas state government wouldn't allow ksu and kansas to split, not sure if thats true. Already in Iowa so I would guess Iowa st is out. To me the only money value add is either Baylor/TCU or Oklahoma st.
