  1. I just saw that and came over here to discuss this thought. Will a kid like him or Dwyane Wade's son ever go to a historically black college because they could have a national following and blaze their own path? I personally would love to see it. If you're a freak of a talent like Zion the cameras are going to follow. Other than ESPN being Duke's sugar daddy what appeals about playing in front of an uppity predominantly white and Asian crowd to a young black kid? And yes i know Tennessee state isn't a historical black college but he turned down lots of major offers.
  2. I don't understand this trade offer. I don't understand why Philly would turn that down either. I wonder if somebody in Philly is making stuff up to try to drum up a higher trade. This could totally be a fake trade scenario that they floated acting like they turn this down trying to get somebody to make a better offer. As somewhat of a Pacers fan I would not be very happy with this trade
  3. Whats to keep regular fans from paying a player to come to their kids birthday party?
  4. Alabama's leading scorer transferring and another guy staying in the draft. Thats a huge hit.
  5. According to this Carr os transferring out of Minny. I saw other reports that he may return. https://www.zagsblog.com/2021/06/30/minnesota-guard-marcus-carr-to-withdraw-from-nba-draft-transfer/
  6. I cant believe anyone falls for that brotherhood crap they have tried to lay claim of. It sickens my stomach to be tossed around so cheaply.
  7. B1G will do well to get one W on the road. Those match ups dont look favorable.
  8. The B1G defensive player of the year transferring out of Maryland is pretty big news for "Big Ten 2021-2022"
  9. It's so interesting people talk about how much higher level the NBA is than college (and it is) and Quinn Snyder was a fairly mediocre coach at Missouri and has done a heck of a job with the jazz it doesn't make a ton of sense to me. Do pros make it easier to coach high level ball because they are so much higher level? In my mind I would think it would be more difficult to coach college ball because you have to teach them so many different new things but maybe I'm giving them too much credit. Basketball is basketball. Move the ball, hit shots, play good team defense, block out and rebound. Keep it simple stupid. Johnny's and Joe's over x's and o's.
  10. Wasn't he a high level volleyball guy in high school? Probably turning pro
  11. Weed man Sounds like a 2nd offense. Guessing he'll be down there with Kiffin in no time.
  12. Not sure the number of units and how many were boomed or occupied but if there is only 99 dead I would call that a miracle. That is gut wrenching. There will be little to no survivors. What a nightmare.
  13. No im down to agree with that one. I'm also aware that other generations have literally suffered far more than the most privileged generation the world has ever seen and dont care to debate it.
  14. That was another one of his stupid rules.
  15. My post had almost all facts and zero opinions.
  16. He drafted much like the Giants do. Who was he competing with for Leaf? Plumlee, most thought this guy could be a serviceable big for 15 years. I think he mostly thought he was right and shut out other people's opinions and Simmons let him get away with it.
  17. Scholarship athletes, i would imagine, have zero debt. 4 year students on average have around $29k in student debt and average starting salary for a 4 year degree is almost 50k. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/15/college-grads-expect-to-earn-60000-in-their-first-job----few-do.html
  18. "Bird was named president of basketball operations for the Pacers, holding the position until retiring in 2012.[2] He was named NBA Executive of the Year for the 2012 season. Bird returned to the Pacers as president of basketball operations in 2013[3] and remained in that role until 2017."
  19. Can this be natural causes? This looks like a professional demolition.
  20. Larry Bird. The gift that keeps on giving. Throw a hot pile of Plumlee on there for good measure.
