  1. I actually have no problem with the Rockets never winning a championship since Daryl Morey thinks he invited GMing.
  2. How would they add Love though? Not sure any amout of trade wizardry could pull that off. I just tried the NBA trade machine, don't see how it's possible. Lakers just don't have assests to trade.
  3. It would be unfortunate if Demezi transfers for 2 reasons. 1. He will be a very strong 9th or 10th man as a junior and senior. Having quality depth that are mature leads to good seasons. He doesn't have to develop into an all B1G guy and that's ok. 2. Blake Wesley. Do we really want him being Izzo' s next Gary Harris? A guy we could have/should have had if we play our cards right.
  4. Thrilled to see this. Been waiting for a year and a half. I always thought he was capable of getting hot and staying hot. And honestly, he's become an honest defender as well. Last night's team line was incredible.
  5. Will the cursed be lifted? Why is it that all the sudden my hope meter for this season just went from a 1/4 to a solid 3/4?
  6. Without quoting text, I believe it was @bgleas that put Davis in a group you can build around. I respectfully say, no way. He has all the potential in the world but at this point he's been slighty more successful than Kevin Love by himself. Love pre Cleveland, 3 all stars, avg 26 pts 12.5 rbs 4.4 a. Davis best year was 28 and 10 . I remember how great he looked in those 17-18 playoffs sweeping Portland and winning one against golden state. But that's it. A lot left to hope for with that potential. I don't think the will to win is there. We can go in on his roster bit last year's disaster wad on him. It was a more improved roster than the previous that won 48 and they were horrible. Then the "injuries" tanking and trading.
  7. And was nowhere near the scorer/shooter.
  8. I'm far from a PG apologist. Glad you are here to clear up things. Lol. Ibe been waiting for you to show up.
  9. Currys attitude and overall smuckness and arrogance leads us to not appreciate his greatness. He'd be just fine though.
  10. Isaiah Thomas 6 180 lb Mark Price 6ft 170 I've now listed three guards that were all time players and NBA All-Stars of the 80s or early 90s that are all smaller than Steph Curry and couldn't shoot anywhere close to what he can shoot. Price is close % wise but never avg more than 20 points a game.
  11. Stockton started in 84 and made the All-Star team by 89.
  12. He's not as tough as Reggie however he's 20 lbs heavier and 2 inches taller than John Stockton, with the best shot ever. He'd be alright, let's not get crazy here. We fantasize the old rugged NBA because of all the highlights of hard fouls we see but if you go back and watch games, the conditioning, speed, and athleticism of today's game is superior. Sure flagrant were a common foul, hand checking was allowed but I challenge you as I did this summer. Go back and watch full games. Finals games. It's actually a let down.
  13. How effective would Kareem be in this era? I was just a hair too young and he was on the decline when I was growing up.
  14. Same but I think clips supporting cast is goimg to be the difference makers unless LeBron just puts the. On his back as we have seen before.
  15. Back to the original question of duos. You said you would take Magic and Kareem. I countered and said that they weren't even the 2 leading scorers on their own team. Correction, once. Would you take peak Magic or peak Lebron?
  16. I already conceded LeBron all time, earlier calling him 1a or 1b. That playoff run 2 years ago by LeBron was possibly the best ever. With what LeBron is doing, I'd take him for one more run.
  17. On their own team. I was watching throw back games of celts lakers finals this summer. Byron Scott was a beast. Way underrated. Look up those teams stats.
  18. I'll wait for @Hoosierhoopster to take it from here. What KL has done in the last 6 months is nothing short of amazing. If all 4 of these dudes stay healthy we are going to witness one of the greatest western conference matchups. While LeBron, at 34 is putting together his most complete performance, .most are still calling KL the current best. As of right now this is spliting hairs. I just hope they stay healthy. If PG is a Batman, then Davis is like a back up cop that gets "powed", dude carried a decent playoff teams to the #1 pick. Pg dang near beat LeBron by himself with the pacers before injury.
  19. All time sure but at this current age 90% of gms would take kl over LeBron and PG over Davis. Maybe the Davis and PG one is debatable because Anthony Davis is 25 and Paul George is 29. But if you needed one on your team this year. The vast majority go with PG.
  20. Fair but if you drop those 2 in today's NBA, if they don't gave the stacked team that they did they would be probably below LeBron and Davis. Don't forget those teams had James Worthy, Byron Scott, Mychal Thompson, Michael Cooper Kurt Rambis. And they were never the 2 leading scorers on their team. You can have that duo. I'll take Mike and Scottie, then this years 2 are looking good, still to be determined.
  21. PG definitely gets muscles when he has a nice group. It's kinda like guys who are cocky when they are out with a big pack of their brothers but real quiet when they go out by themselves. The pacer faithful has a sore spot but I would love to hear his take. Probably won't truly come to light until about 10 years after Larry's passing.
  22. That's would be like today's LeBron and Anthony. Trading 2s for 3s.
  23. And here is LeBron James, 1 A or 1B all time, 34 years old, playing possibly his most compete game, next to what most figured would be a top 3 player if he would ever stay healthy. Clips probably win in 6 if everyone is healthy because you can't trade 2s for 3s and a more complete and deep team. Pg and Kawhi will be 29 and 30 by finals. That's 3-4 more years at peak performance. We may look back on these 2 the way we look back at Mike and Scottie, if they stay healthy.
  24. It's 2 of the best and most complimentary duos we have seen since, gulp, Scottie and Michael. Being that its a guards game, nod goes to Clips.
