  1. It's tough. It took weeks if not months to make the decision because he wasn't sick, just his mobility and quality of life was becoming such a struggle. Then I have this lady sitting in the waiting room who literally fosters old dogs tell me "oh, he still has fight in him." Poor guy fell twice in the waiting room you dumbass, it's not his mind, it's his body.
  2. I just had to put my old Parker boy(border collie) down 9 days ago. Got him beginning of 2nd semester senior year at iu 13.5 years ago. I cried like a baby and told him he'd always be my boy. $160 to have him put to sleep and taken care of for me. I couldn't handle it. Still have my nervous little rat terrier Jay.
  3. Supposedly looking to trade Paul but he has the worst or 2nd worst contract in the league. Good luck.
  4. So... how cool would it be to have Knight and Keady sitting together for iu Purdue? Espn3 could do a legends feed, with Hummel and Suhr leading the broadcast with some selective blips of knight and keady conversation during the game. Bring in other legends for ongoing conversation and observations throughout the game.
  5. It has something to do with once you have been in the league 10 years you can sign an even bigger contract. His next contract will be almost 50 million a year.
  6. Another thing of note. Aside from Durant joining the winningest team ever, none of these guys are winners. I have no problem taking that shot at them, including Durant, which I think the Knicks made the first correct decision in modern history concerning his max contract. Harden, career playoff choke artist. Disappears in crunch time and generally doesn't play defense. Durant, the case can certainly be made that he is a winner and sacrificed being alpha. He'll be a hall of fame and considered a great scorer that has become an all NBA defender. He also had a pressureless situation along side 2 of the best shooters the NBA has ever seen. Westbrook. Just doesn't play winning ball. It will be interesting to see if he 'resurrects' his career. Something silly to think about after averaging a triple double 2 years in a row, and just one year removed from mvp.
  7. And Utah in the west probably improved as much as anyone out there. New power rankings https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-power-rankings-kawhi-leonards-new-look-clippers-vault-to-no-1-lebron-james-lakers-3rd-raptors-warriors-plummet/
  8. From bleacher report Cobbling together workable Westbrook-to-Miami deals is difficult. The Heat are hard-capped after the Butler sign-and-trade and have yet to officially duck the luxury-tax threshold. They need to broker a salary dump (Goran Dragic) or waive-and-stretch Ryan Anderson's partially guaranteed deal ($15.6 million). Getting Westbrook to Miami is more tenable if OKC doesn't demand short-term cap relief. Both Anderson and Dragic are expiring contracts, and the Thunder can extract more value if they're willing to take on money that spills into 2020-21. Sending back Anderson with one of James Johnson (two years, $31.4 million), Kelly Olynyk (two years, $25.7 million) or Dion Waiters (two years, $24.8 million) would be ideal for the Heat. That'd leave them to scour the market for a Dragic dump (Dallas!) and steer clear of the luxury tax. Whether they have the supplementary assets to sell the Thunder on that framework is a different story. Oklahoma City would still be inside the luxury tax and responsible for cutting costs elsewhere. Bam Adebayo or Tyler Herro are nice buffers, but their salaries make it more difficult to evade the tax, and the Heat cannot offer up a first-round pick until 2025. Oklahoma City now controls their selections in 2021 (unprotected) and 2023 (lottery-protected). Still, unless the Thunder stumble into a suitor peddling more immediate relief, the Heat have to be considered an option. They're star-hungry and unsettled at point guard, and any package they put together will wind up saving Oklahoma City a ton of money beginning in 2020-21. From CBS https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/thunder-to-consider-trading-russell-westbrook-per-report-heat-among-three-teams-that-could-make-sense/
  9. And CBS saying heat 1st, orlando, and someone else but heat ha e said they are interested. I'd watch Butler and Westbrook. Maybe they would get into it.
  10. At one point very recently, Charlotte was the fastest growing city in America per money magazine.
  11. The Lakers are planning on starting Javale McKee next to AD and LeBron according to sources. Lol. Danny Green is nice and knows his role and resurrected his career with rotors, he's also 32. Quinn Cook as your back up point guard along with Kentavious Caldwell Pope. Oh and strong talk of bringing in Carmelo. Even rumors that Monta Ellis and Amare stoudimire want in. Lol
  12. It would be hard to decide and it would also never happen. Maybe charlotte, Orlando, and golden state lol.
  13. I'm still for killing off at least 3-4 bottom dweller franchises. That would level the playing field even more.
  14. I guess at least PG allowed his previous teams to cash in off of him. I used to love Durant. Video of what he did to help tornado victims shows what a quality human being he can be.
  15. Knicks or Charlotte sound like horrible decision making candidates. Maybe the suns. They have some nice young pieces.
  16. I dont understand why you use the energy you do to take up for PG.
  17. I'd say so. Not sure their depth and quality of bigs without looking but that backcourt defense. The game changer could be, point guard LeBron. Thing is they miffed this whole timing up and Khawi delaying, not a ton of quality left. Will be interesting to see how the Lakers fill this thing out.
  18. So pg3 went to the thunder requesting a trade? Who got a better deal? Rank them. Pacers oladipo and Sabonis Thunder, 4 gonna be late 1st rounders, shai G Alexnader, and Galinari Or pels haul for AD? 3 first rounders, ball, Ingram, hart.
  19. New theory I actually thought of 10 minutes before I heard it spoken on radio this morning. If Khawi waits until July 7th and doesn't go to Lakers, it screws them 6 million or so that they can spend.
  20. Thought it was funny that Kyle Kuzma liked this considering they have 4 people on the team at the moment. Explain to me, if the Lakers do get Khawi, how much are they then allowed to spend to fill out the roster? I didn't think they were allowed to go over the cap to sign a max guy. Is it once they have signed a max, then they can go over the cap?
  21. Especially with how good Holiday is. 😂
  22. Reduntant conversation with the same person who hasn't changed their mind about anything in 30+ years. You win. I'm out.
  23. Did you seriously at that point think the pacers could play with the bucks, raptors, Sixers? The season was over. Time to play for future. Not tank. I'm not saying tank. You still get your 1st round playoff loss but at least you have something to show for it in the future.
