  1. You lost me. He'll be going on 35 at the end of this 4 year. If he doesn't retire he can probably get the veterans minimum if he's still healthy. I dont understand your argument because factually he left money on the table.
  2. @Hoosierhoopster. Butler left 48 mil on the table leaving Philly. That's not chasing money. 4 year 142 heat. 5 year 190 Philly. I wouldn't want him on my team but he proved himself yet again in the playoffs. It is what it is. I'm not asking you to agree or anything and we can agree to disagree though I'm not sure what the disagreement is lol.
  3. He became the team alpha in the playoffs, played really top 10 playoff ball. He could have gotten 5 years with Philly, took 4 with heat. I agree he's been cancer but the dude would have been talked about in a much different light had the shot bounced 4 times and went off and into overtime and then win. He would be NBA champ and finals mvp. 4 bounces, four. What's different about signing with Miami vs Brooklyn vs 5 at Philly vs clips vs Lakers vs houston or anyone else that would have given him literally the exact same contract? State income tax? Houston doesn't pay state tax. Miami is his team. He's following in wades footsteps, something evidently has been his plan for a while.
  4. I'm talking come playoffs. Everyone is always optimistic around here and gets chastised for being slightly negative. No reason to bet against Vic. Lots of ifs but I like the balanced attack options now. As @dgambill said, ". Brooklyn is a couple years away...Detroit not better...Philly downgraded....Milwaukee downgraded...if Kawhi goes west...Toronto downgraded...leaving only Boston maybe better maybe same."
  5. Russell 6-5 Thompson's 6-7. Wonder how much space they have now with all these sign and trades? I'm going to bed, let some dust clear. One thing we know at this moment. Next years champ is no predetermined. Where you going Khawi?
  6. He was going to make that with a long list of teams. One of them on the jump said d wade is his mentor and all and this is where he was wanting to go all along. Butler has a super star switch that only got ignored by a shot that went in after bouncing 4 or 5 times. Plus Reddick averages 3 3s a game. Gone. I do think their offense opens up a little, due to less shot demand. Embid can shoot but do you want the most skilled big man jacking 3s?
  7. Warriors are going to have to dump Iguodala. Pritchard pick up the phone. 2nd round draft picks go go go. Scratch that. that old man's making 16 million a year Memphis. Idiots. Just gave 3 future 1st rounders for a 35 year old. Smh Edit. So it's the warriors sending 3 future 1st rounders with iggy. Changes everything lol.
  8. How will this night get any crazier? Pretty risky, may pay off. That's 29.25 per year according to my calculator. Pacers were probably thinking maybe around 25.
  9. Thought this was funny. Chicago sun times reporter.
  10. Geesh. Solid depth, young, and now loaded with draft picks for years.
  11. Lost Reddick though. They added to our strength so to speak with bigs.
  12. Philly won't get much help with the sign and trade. Gotta think with them losing the best of their backcourt and only adding Horford, pacers passed them back today. Think we contend with bucks, celtics are good and may blossom but they lose terry and kyrie and horford, add Kemba. Khawi, what are you doing? Pacers could be in the thick.
  13. Butler to the heat. Horford to Philly.
  14. Well, what's Khawi doing? Jimmy Butler and Bradley Beal possibly to Miami. Butler and Khawi possibly to clips.
  15. Jazz have moved up to west contenders. Honestly have to think that the pacers can possibly compete to win the eastern finals. Quality all over.
  16. What about the pelicans? Probably a playoff team. Holiday, Reddick, Zion, the euro league tourney leading scorer, ball, ingram, okafor. Maybe as high as 5th
  17. Not popular but I'm with the Knicks on this Durant injury and max deal. At 36, he'll be more valuable than a 36 year old cp3 but that won't be a championship team. Probably ever. Kyrie, not a true leader. Jordan? It's just not his era, 15 years too late.
  18. So basically the pacers aren't improving this year. That makes 2 off seasons in a row of little to no improvement. Losing Bojan and adding Warren may be a stroke of genius or another step back. We shall see.
  19. Well, Collison isn't coming back since he just retired. https://theundefeated.com/features/darren-collison-i-have-decided-to-retire-from-the-nba/
  20. The heads are talking Kemba to Boston. Pretty good consolation after losing Kyrie, actually I would call it a net improvement factoring chemistry. Wonder if Horford would stick around if they offered 4 or 5 years now? @BGleas
  21. I doubt we see this because its sounding more like this is going to be a gap year for the Pacers with Oladipo being out for half of it, meaning our pick is going to be a little more valuable. Cavet, Durant and Irving to nets as being highly suspected this morning. Bring in Russell on an aggressive gamble, trade for EJ, package one of the bigs and push the chips in. Screw the cap finally and bring Bojan back too. Let's go.
  22. Are you suggesting diminished trade value and they would take me up on my offer?
  23. If they take 2 2nd rounders for EJ, I'll send you a $25 gift card of your choice just for speaking that crazy idea into existence. Who else can we get for basically nothing? Wonder if Denver would give us Gary Harris for 3 2nd Rounders?
