  1. Everyone talks about getting rid of a guy a year early, not a year late. To me, Sabonis and Turner both are still 3-4 years away from that. The only question is do you want both and can you make your team better by movimg one of them? I honestly think Pritchard is too smart and is actually trying to get Boston to over pay for an aging sort of star. Boston has some serious decisions to make. Although they are load3d with picks still and hoping Hayward gets back to form after a full year like PG did.
  2. Nor should they. He'll be 32 at season start getting paid 32 and 1/2 million this year in 34 million the next year. That's going to be a pass for me. Memphis is already made clear they want to dump him so they are going to have to lose on this deal
  3. I think you're meaning the all NBA teams. Have a question for everyone regarding the supermax so say the Hornets wind up giving Kemba Walker a super-max contract. Do they get a bump on what their salary cap is or do they still have to work within the confines of the salary cap just like everyone else. I don't feel like there's really an advantage for Charlotte to sign Kemba Walker to 40 million dollars a year they're going to wind up like Memphis and at the very bottom picking Last Tear in a few years. Honestly same thing would have happened with Paul George you're not going to bring any help in here paying these guys supermax. One guy getting almost 40% of your salary cap is absurd.
  4. For our information. https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/nba-market-size-nfl-mlb-nhl-nielsen-ratings/
  5. Wouldn't that be wild? Probably won't happen unless new Orleans doesn't want to make instant title contenders out of Boston. We know Presti has serious Kahuna's, and honestly, you have to look at Westbrook and just admit he doesn't play championship ball. Can anyone offer a better player than Westbrook? Getting Davis to resign in Oklahoma is unlikely but pg did it.
  6. That has certainly become the narrative but it actually doesn't hold water, at least since 2009. I couldn't find info from 2008 so I quit going back. From 09- now, only one year in that span did the Colts go over the cap. 2013 3.5 mil.
  7. I would be curious to see what operational costs and actual owner profits are. I get that these sports teams bring in millions of dollars downtown and therefore warrant the tax breaks and in many cases, cash incentives to come or stay. Kudos to the local t alking heads for drumming up this same conversation. It's time for the billionaires to bring in the stars to chase a championship. I'm sure you know this but the trade was determined for the rights to the pick. Then the spurs told the pacers who they wanted at that pick. Most people at the time liked the trade and it did bring aome value to the pacers for a few years. Sure hindsight is always 20/20. Going forward if the spurs or patriots ask you to trade, you just decline.
  8. A 26 year old Davis who has recently shown top 5 ability vs a 40 year, never won anything guy. I'd trade all those youngsters for 5 years of Davis too. To even conjure up a trade on the machine for CP would be 10 times worse an organizational move than paying kobe for 2 more years to have a good bye tour.
  9. For Chris Paul? Organizational suicide. I call no way. Supposedly LeBron really loves Ball too and he's on rookie contract not $40 mil a year.
  10. I messed around with the trade maker app. The Lakers would have to give up about 5 guys to make it work. I see no way unless the rockers gave them a few decent picks. Jimmy Butler. He dang near carried Philly in those playoffs. Remember is was a Kawhi fad away in the corner that bounced 4 or 5 times to not go into overtime game 7. Butler had pretty much established the pecking order. It took them up until the 6th or 7th game to figure it out. If you get him and LeBron on the same team, they could make a run. Ball, Butler, Reddick, Lebron, and fill up the roster with serviceable parts and that's a contender.
  11. I read yesterday that Paul is around the 50th rated player with the 3rd highest paying contract. Wonder where Conley falls on those lines?
  12. Interesting. I would add that the Rockets would have to give up some #1s or another quality player to package because that's a bad contract. Think it was Woj or windhorst this morning say about the only team that.may consider that is if the Lakers whiff on everyone else.
  13. Is there anyone on the Rockets that you would make a drastic trade to get to the pacers? For the record. Gordon turns 31 this Christmas. The 3 point shooting % has trickled down over the years as volume has went up. Right at 36% 2 years in a row now. He would be in the final year of his contract at at 14 mil. Is Capella a better Turner that doesn't shoot threes?
  14. The man who thinks he invented gming is pulling the plug on cp3 and his horrible contract. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/26847098/rockets-making-cp3-others-available
  15. Loved when everyone started cheering and he/she started barking.
  16. Its in the rule book because that defensive play has proven to cause injury. So when Golden state uses it as a defensive tactic, intentions can and have been called into question. Personal opinion aside, if something can and has caused enough injury in the sport to the point the NBA has made a rule to prevent further injury from happening, its fair game when someone does it, causes injury, and has a history. Now when Klay, Draymond, and Steph all did it to Harden in the same game, i think they were being overzealous aggressive defenders.
  17. Game one was basically borderline dirty. Players all over the NBA were commenting publicly. Notice after getting called out they quit guarding harden like that and the conversation went away. Whatever you want to call it call it. Dirty? Stupid? Accidental?
  18. We are going to check but I think it's blocking us because of internet location. Inside 465.
  19. Any way to watch with a firestick? Or stream is through computer. Tried logining in on NBC on Firestick but it told live tv not available in your area.
  20. He wasn't worth the time looking up his stupid name.
  21. Remember when Kawhi and the Spurs more beating the crap out of this same rendition of the Warriors when that stupid Pikachu undercut Kawhi ending his season and the series?
  22. Hoping they are wrong. App saying 90% chance but they just said on local 50% scattered storms.
  23. George Hill is putting together a nice playoffs.
  24. Good basketball to watch. Still can't stand shimmy and dong pic.
