  1. If we can play like we did in the 1st half consistently, we can play with anybody.
  2. Reminds me of Troy Williams, only not as good....(yet)
  3. I know MD isn't playing all that well, but it really looks like the guys are starting to figure it out.
  4. Gallo being aggressive is key for opening up others. Like his scoring too !
  5. Geronimo has has many TO's as points...
  6. 7 offensive boards. Great to see
  7. 10 assists 3 TO's. Pretty good team play. Not very much "Me" ball.
  8. And Malik was 3 for 3 before he went out with the 2 BS fouls
  9. Thought it was comical when Reese tried to back down Payton. Looked like he hit a brick wall.
  10. Leal gave us good minutes
  11. He's a scorer...not necessarily a "shooter"
  12. I've listened to the last 3 media sessions with Woody, and caught the last part of the pregame interview with him, and he even acts pissed at Fisch. I think he's getting fed up with the media. Even more so than the NYC media
  13. For those of us who don't have access to Bob Evans, try Hardee's. Their B&G is really pretty good. Almost like home made.
  14. Ditto on getting screened. I didn't, don't have any bad habits like smoking, drinking or drugs, and still had a heart attack @ 55. Had another one @ 65 and had to have a emergency triple bypass. Could have prevented both events if I'd gotten screened.
  15. I'm sure to no one's surprise Ware has earned the MVP for games thru out November. Except for the UConn game where Malik shined so brightly, Ware has secured MVP for all other Nov games. Again this year, we're "weighting" the votes. MVP for each game gets 3 points, 2nd place get's 2, and third place get's 1 based on the poll voting that is done at the conclusion of each game. (except protest votes of only 1 vote for a player who didn't play) MVP vote getters for top 25 ranked opponents get double points (6,4,2). So Malik got 6 points for the UConn game, while Ware gets 3 points each, for MVP for unranked teams. So total score for Nov is: Ware has 12 points, Reneau has 10 pts, and 2 players with 3 pts a piece. For you "hard core guys" that don't like the weighting, Ware still wins, Malik 2nd, and nobody a close 3rd. No surprise on the results, since we haven't really seen anybody step it up consistently, which is sad IMO. Hopefully that will change with time, as there was some promise shown in the Harvard game by Mgbako. X going down didn't help either.
  16. Another very good game for Malik as well, even with his hip-pointer or whatever it was. He was playing hurt. Also nice to see MM start to come around and get some confidence. MVP = Ware
  17. If MM & TG can get off to a good start, I'm confident we can win this by double digit. If both struggle or get in foul trouble (move your feet on defense MM) then it could be a very close game.
  18. Go with the white. You might inadvertently pee in the yellow....
  19. Does anybody have a team picture for '23-'24? Usually one gets posted here, but I guess I've missed it. I use it for a wallpaper on my PC. Thanx. (and stay safe this holiday weekend. Lots of amateur drunks and idiots out there on the roads)
  20. Haven't watched a ton of MM's high school "tape", but I suspect he's never really had to play (what I would call) "real" defense. He's big for his position, and can certainly be intimidating at the high school level, but in college he's not head and shoulders above most others playing his position. He has a great stroke. But he's severely lacking in understanding how to play defense at the college level, and this could shake some of his confidence on the offensive end as well. I have no doubt he will improve substantially over the course of this season and into next season, wherever he's at. I liked his aggressiveness at the start of the L'ville game. Got a lousy call on one of the fouls that took him out early in the half.
  21. Turned on MD game on BTN. Playing MD extension in Baltimore (I think). Anyway...we had more fans in the stands in our local Div II game in a town of <10,000 than they do at the MD home game. Really sad.
