  1. SIAP but I saw on TDH that Hatfield cancelled his IU visit. Supposedly didn't delay or reschedule it, but cancelled completely.

I guess the good news is that at least we have enough returning players to put a team on the floor.

To say it will be "interesting" to see how this all plays out will be a massive under statement.

Installing a "Catch can" on your engine to capture contaminants, and residue solids from your engine, and not recirculate them back into the intake manifold to go thru the engine again. (keeps you engine much cleaner internally).

I plan on keeping this vehicle until the wheels fall off, so keeping the engine as clean as possible will extend the life of it.

Here's a pic of the finished install. The catch can and the 2 hoses.

Update: Driven about 2000 miles since the install, and when I changed the engine oil and filter a couple of days ago, I checked the catch can, and it had about 1 oz of junk in the bottom. Can holds ~12 oz or so. Certainly not a lot, but I change my engine oil every 2500 miles so things tend to stay pretty clean. But every bit of junk that doesn't go back in the engine is more miles for me.

  3. '24-'25 season may be a catch 22 for Woodson.

If he insists on playing inside out with MR at the 5,  the "out" will never happen. Cause Ware isn't on the roster for MR to throw the ball to. MR rarely if at all, passed the ball out to shooters. MM's points came from passes from Gallo, Leal, and X.

With a significant overhaul to the roster, it almost demands that he change the offense. And yet the past 3 years show that he won't. Ware had a decent outside game, and yet Woodson still refused to play 4 out, much less 5 out. Still had 2 bigs clogging up the middle with a cutter coming thru just to muck it up even more.

    Hence the catch 22.

  4. No bench players out played starters for the last ½ of the 23-24 season, but I always thought Gallo deserved to start during the time he came off the bench. Mainly last year and the year before.

Bates had his flashes of brilliance, but got relegated to the bench the next game.

Those 2 examples are the ones that come to my old, inactive mind, at this time. My point was that Woodson's stubbornness hurts the team, as evidenced by our record, and early exit from the tournaments (B1G & NCAA)

Leal should have started over Cupps. Better defender, better shooter (inconsistent because of sporadic playing time IMO), and higher BBall IQ at this time. Cupps will no doubt improve, but I think Leal should have started over Cupps.

  5. I'll always root for IU, but you can certainly color me frustrated about the inflexibility of Woodson's coaching. When something isn't working, you change it. Woodson appears to refuse to do so.

If it hadn't been for injuries, the starting line up would not have changed for 2 years running. Even though some bench guys outplayed the starters. And that's only one example. There are tons more.

So when next season starts, I'll be there watching, but my confidence level will be "tempered" until we start playing IU ball the way it's supposed to be played.

    Rant over.

    Go Hoosiers.

    Theres a pony?

I certainly saw the "remnants" of a pony, or an entire herd of horses this past season. Had several thorough-breds but they under performed, save 1.

I can't even imagine how bad we'll be next season if Woodson doesn't completely change his offensive playbook. He can recruit all the 5 stars he wants, but if he can't create an offensive & defensive strategy to maximize the teams talent, then we waste a ton of talent.

Great pick up.  He plays the 3, Mbako goes to the 4 and MR to the 5.  Pick up a CG, 2x SG and a PG and we're good

Admire your enthusiasm. Wish I could share it. (sigh) Until I see proof consistently on the floor, color me skeptical.

Not dissing Bryson at all. I'm sure he's very good. And we'll certainly be better (but maybe not great) because of him.

So so so many discounting the value of JHS, TJD, Malik, MM, Ware improving their game? SMH

Agree that those guys improved their game. And some credit is due to the staff (I question how much actual 1:1 time Woodson spent with them), vs Jordy, Calbert, Ya, etc.

But we haven't improved our game as a whole. In fact IMO it's gotten worse, much worse.

My gut says he’ll stay at IU. Have nothing official to back that up. Basing my opinion on fact he hasn’t said yet he’s entering the portal, and he really made great strides last year.

I hope you're right. But once he gets NBA feedback, it could (not saying it will) change his mind. But maybe the portal closes before he gets that feedback. I don't keep up with all the ins and outs of the portal rules.
