Gov't Logic....

Personally I think 3 games in 3 days will be brutal for us. Roster rotation could play a very big key in keeping the legs reasonably fresh for the long haul. Which means Malik, JG, Banks, Bates, and even Gunn are going to need to play significant minutes, and not be a liability. JHS, TJD, Kopp can't go 40 minutes for 3 games straight (JHS played 40 minutes I believe against UM). And guys need more than a minute or two of blow. Our bench has been underwhelming for the past few weeks. Not sure how Woody will get them to play better and for longer, but these are a few of the concerns I have.

And coaching the team. He's a very big reason why we've won a lot of the close games with his knowledge and motivation.

I'm going to start a new tracking for MVP for tournament play. Hopefully it'll be more than 3 games.

TJD by a landslide is our MVP to no one's surprise. No one was even in the same galaxy as TJD. In case you missed last night's Sr Night intro's and speeches, TJD is the only player in IU history with 2000 pts and 250 blocks. All time leader in Rebounds & Blocked Shots, 4th in scoring. (And if they count scoring in tournaments he has a very good chance to pass Don Schlunk for 3rd place) But what is interesting is the projection of JHS. Not only has he had a couple outstanding games (esp PU) he has grown into a real threat for opposing teams. He holds a firm grip on 2nd place as MVP, followed by Kopp, Bates, and Gallo. And that my friends is impressive, considering he wasn't in the running for 5th place until near the end of Jan when he lit up OSU.

I've had PU7 on ignore since about his 2nd post. (for obvious reasons...plural)

I've read from other posters, that it's not guaranteed, because of the amount of time he's played vs total season minutes. Evidently, there is some question as to whether he's played in too many games to automatically qualify for the redshirt. I don't know the rules and thresholds, but I've seen enough posts to put a little doubt in my mind.

Maybe....if the red shirt is allowed.

I haven't read much of this thread, because I didn't want to throw up or jump off a cliff. Sh|t happens and this was a huge pile. The most encouraging thing for me was Woody's 2 minute presser. Finally we got to see thru the "class act" suit of armor to the real pissed off Woody. If the guys don't respond against MI, then we won't be a real threat in either of the tourneys. But...I'll still root for them, and support them, and hope for the absolute best for each of them. Now, and after they're living their lives outside of college.

Been there done that! The fact that you're waiting another month for it "implies" it's not an emergency surgery, which is great. I had mine 6+ years ago, and haven't had a problem since. Feel like it never happened! So should you. Recovery is a little frustrating if they have to cut your breastbone, because you can't do squat for 6 weeks til it heals, but other than that you should be good to go !! Good luck. I totally agree with this. But...based on the "love" we got from the committee last year, don't be surprised if we get screwed again.

Sorry, I guess I didn't make myself clear. I wasn't talking about IU being on the outside looking in, depending on how we do in the B1G Tourney. I was talking about RU & MSU possibly missing the big dance if they make a quick exit in the B1G Tourney.

With a little separation within the league now, I think what happens in the B1G Tourney will decide if we get 5-6 in the dance or 7-8 in the dance. If RU or MSU lose in the 1st round of the B1G Tourney, I think they are on the outside looking in. Just my 2¢

I mentioned it in the MVP thread, but I give a big assist to TJD for commanding so much attention, that it opened up the floor, not just for JHS,, but Gallo, Kopp, Race & Malik.

I blocked him over a month ago. And rightly so....don't need to listen to his non-sense. Disagreements are one thing, idiocy is quite another.

Almost no contest for MVP, but Gallo is really starting to impress. His consistency is really good, as well as is D. Gallo gets my "at-a-boy". JHS gets MVP. (with an assist from TJD for drawing so much attention)
