  1. With the style of victories this week, I think we move back in to the 20-25 range with the sheer number of ranked losses.
  2. Refs doing everything possible to keep Purdue in the lead
  3. His presence in the corner does also help keep the lane more clear for TJD. Put JG in the corner instead, and his defender is going to just ignore him out there and clog the lane.
  4. If we had played at Kansas this week instead of a month ago, we would have won by 30.
  5. You mean the explanation of having two starters out and the team needing some time to adjust to new roles and lineups? Yeah, what a mystery, Mike.
  6. That cheer sheet is Texas A&M level of cringe
  7. We did play the entire game 5 on 8
  8. One of those 3 was their flop, so it's even worse than it looks
  9. Man, we're playing 5 on 8 right now
  10. Why was the ref in xj's face to begin with?
  11. The first half of that Illinois hype video was literally just all the bush league s**t they've pulled in the last twenty years. I can even remember back to Self's Illinois teams and one of their players stepping on one of our players. Was it Fife?
  12. Honestly, Edey made the decision to pivot and throw Sissoko to the floor. An ejection would have been completely justified in that situation. Just because a player has the audacity to touch your arm doesn't give you the right to try to rip it off. Stop trying to defend it on an IU message board and just admit they let him get away with it.
  13. He's really hard to officiate you know. You can't call that on him because he's so tall.
  14. I don't care how much taller he is. An elbow in the face is a foul.
  15. I get really sick of how much latitude the refs give Edey with his elbows. Constantly in someone's face.
  16. It's going to have to be a careful analysis at the end of this year. Will he make the NBA? I certainly think he's more than talented enough, but the NBA doesn't seem to want to take traditional big men much theses days; they'd rather have 6'8 - 6'10 guys shooting threes and guarding multiple positions. If he's not going to the NBA, then there's a good chance nil will net him more money for one more year than playing in Europe.
  17. Our schedule last season was absolutely brutal: IL - 8-5, made bowl Idaho - 7-5, made FCS playoffs WKU - 9-5, won bowl game Cincy - 9-4, made bowl Neb - 4-8 UM - 13-1, CFP MD - 8-5, won bowl game Rutg - 4-8 PSU - 11-2, won Rose Bowl OSU - 11-2, CFP MSU - 5-7 Purdue - 8-6, won West div, embarrassed in bowl game Stats aside, I'll put that up against just about any schedule for toughest in the country. 9 of our opponents went to bowls or playoffs, we played literally half of the CFP, and we played a third team that was CFP level. MSU missed a bowl specifically because we beat them. It's a massive hill to climb every year being in the B10 east for a program like IU, and our ooc opponents haven't been pushovers, either.
  18. Decent chance that IU gets back in somewhere between 20-25 though with all those losses yesterday.
