They are absolutely the WORST, no matter where they are!

Insane videos and photos online - glad you guys are safe. Also glad the squirrel seemed to right itself in that wind! My grandparents used to live in a retirement community in Estero. I visited them one summer, rode my old Honda Interceptor V750 down there. I think my horn had failed by the end of the two week trip b/c of all the old people driving with reckless abandon.

Annoying Aging and Health Issues

My wife got the latest one in advance of our trip to Italy. Didn’t phase her at all. I already had the other ones, so skipped the latest. It’s nice that we don’t have to take a COVID test this time to get back to the USA. That’s always kind of worrying at the end of the trip. -

That’s kind of mesmerizing to watch. -
Ha, no but they are a good music-focused website. That’s where I found the Cliff Burton action figure for @mrflynn03. That was a great read.

I’ve finally got the frame and all the tools to put together. Bicycle tools are insane - there always seems to be ONE MORE tool you need for one specific bottom bracket, cassette, or headset. Even here in NYC, I’ve kept a fool toolbox full of all the tools I would normally need for repairs, but I’ve easily spent $300 for additional tools I’ve needed to build up my last track bike and now this road bike. That cream and crimson with the championship years is hitting me hard though… Am trying to get this built before our trip to Italy on Tuesday! -
Very important post - there is so much amazing modern music out there. But, you won’t hear it much on the radio. We saw Spoon and Interpol at MSG several years ago. Not a great show - my wife practically fell asleep during Interpol - but I love both bands.

Probably my favorite of his, but that’s a really hard call. Have you ever seen Sara Bareilles doing Goodbye Yellow Brick Road? Her version is so haunting. I saw an interview with Elton and he said that no one, including himself, has ever done the song so well. That’s pretty high praise! She’s a songwriter, singer, pianist, Broadway producer and just an all around cool person.

Oh most definitely. It’s also an incredible time for jazz - turning from the bepop/post-bebop to cool spiritual stuff. Also tons of country gold hits from this era. Probably my favorite country music is from that time.

Late 60s to mid-70s is a gold mine of rock music for me. Just so much good stuff!

We are pretty excited. Just watched Rocketman a few weeks ago and really liked that. Have been on a being Elton kick lately.

I’ve never seen him in person either. My wife and I have tickets to his show in London in the Spring.

One year my wife and I were shopping, and we had to stop at an “adult store” for some party favors for one of her friends who was having a bachelorette party. She wanted penis shaped gummies, but I mistakenly asked the clerk for penis flavored gummies. Everyone got a big kick out of that and she still teases me about it. 😅 -
Happiest of birthdays to Ayden! That Metallica cake! 😀

Probably my favorite of his.

I think when we look back on it Crypto is going to have that Bernie Madoff vibe. Ridiculous how hard they have been scrambling for new investors.

Yup, business as usual for them. Super shady. -

Can’t remember what I scored on the ASVAB way back in the day, but it was enough to get the Navy College Fund, which was an expanded GI Bill, and my pick of location/training. They kept trying to steep me toward Nuclear, but I chose Corspman and then I chose Charleston, SC. Worked in a hospital most of the time during those six years. When I was a psych tech, talked to so many recruits that had been either tricked into enlisting or forced to enlist. I usually got involved when they tried to kill themselves to get out of training/bootcamp. -
One of my top five Mellencamp songs!

Ulta is one of my wife’s favorite places to go when we are in MD. Smart idea to make some extra cash while you have the energy and the will.

Dog, cat, something else, or nothing?

Good to hear. And bless you for taking such good care of him. -

Poor Fox! Is he in pain? I know dogs are super adaptable, but that looks painful. -
Oh man, it’s almost YouTube TV season for me. I usually get it before every IUBB season and then cancel it when we flame out early. Here’s hoping I won’t be cancelling until after the tournament - since we will be enjoying a much deeper run this year.

Are you me?

Being on your phone to entertain yourself while shoving chips down your throat is totally normal. That’s me at least once or twice a week. I was riffing off of the screen time quote - we literally have people walking down the street (or into the street), or up subway stairs staring at their phones. There’s a whole big world out there, but I’m not sure a lot of people realize it.
