Rebounds 42-26. Not sure Trayce has more than one maybe two this half. Omier has 15. Trayce has 8.
Failure of this team down the stretch. That’s EFFORT. You either want it or you don’t.

Totally wrong about this one. We just aren’t that good. And Miami is better than I thought.
Excited to see the women romp in their tournament though.

That’s how you do it.

Also a game where we could really use XJ on the ball defense because we can't stop the drive. I think we had to occasions where the shot clock was under 5 but the guards got in for a layup.
We would be crushing them with XJ right now. We definitely miss his aggressiveness this game.

To be down only 5 after Galloway’s FT choke job isn’t bad. I just don’t see how Miami stays with us when we actually start trying.

We’ve got these little b*tches right where we want them.
Second half will be their undoing.

A very, very small point. Nick's not opening up tonight for game. The kids who frequent your establishment are now Junior/Seniors who had to live 2 years with Archie. Shame on you Nick's....and spare me the staff needs a break crap on a Sunday night.
Wow, that’s crazy. Almost unimaginable to have that happen.
That said, this game is all IU. Seniors are going to want it, and Miami won’t have an answer for our inside game.

Feels weird to root for Penn State.

LOL @ Kent State feeling like it would be an upset if they lost this game.
IU clearly outclassed Kent State. Watching the replay and while they played inspired ball, the talent and polish difference was apparent.
Yeah, they had no real chance at any point. Clearly outclassed.

What frustrates me the most is that many of these national media types that were predicting we lose really have no idea how good Trayce is.
There was one moment, I think it was after the Thursday games, where they were in studio previewing Friday matchups, and Kenny Smith was blathering on about Kent State.
Either the host or Clark Kellig threw out TJD's 'not since Tim Duncan' comparision. Smith immediately became silent and Barkley had a stunned look on his face and said 'wow'.
That’s why I want him to go on a monster run. Show people and leave no doubt who the best player in CBB is.

It was kind of funny to hear the announcers freak out about TJD as he was making those insane spin moves and dunks towards the end. Not sure they had ever seen a game of his - or of basketball.
Would love to see these Seniors go on a big run in the NCAAT. They deserve it.

I know we are all having fun laughing at Purdue, but major props to @Stlboiler23 for being here to take his lumps. Dude gets a lot of flak around here, but you can’t compare him to that other Purdue troll.

I love the Border Trilogy. He is such a good and devastating writer.
Obviously NCfOM is fantastic (coincidentally, the movie is probably my favorite of all time).
Have you checked out Blood Meridian? Soooooo good.
I just started the last of the trilogy - Cities of the Plain. And it’s pretty cool that the two main characters from the first two books are in it. I’m still kind of scarred from ending of Book Two with the Billy Parnham and the dog. That was rough.
I have a copy of Blood Meridian that I’m going to read next.
There’s just something so compelling about the sparse dialog and the back and forth between characters. That and the descriptions of the land they are passing through. Really great stuff!

I thought this was super interesting. Full disclosure, one of my faculty studies ChatGPT in healthcare. So we are pretty used to using it.
ChatGPT thinks IU is S16 bound.
One of my engineers used it for his bracket.

Dogs are so cool. I have had the dumbest Border Collie on earth, not even close and all I remember are the good times. He was a darn good looking boy.
Wishing all the best before our Hoosiers go on a run.
Ha, I have never seen a dumb Border Collie. I grew up with two and they were insanely smart and driven. Had to keep them busy and engaged.

Wait, what??? Rutgers lost in the FIRST ROUND OF THE NIT!
HAHAHAHAAHAH! I hope Geo the b*tch is enjoying that. I’ll be laughing out loud when I pass that piece of crap sign on the turnpike next week.

I don’t know where to put this, but here seems like as good a place as any.
I’ve been reading the Cormac McCarthy Border Trilogy on my subway commute lately. Last night on the way home I was reading “All the Pretty Horses” and it was a scene where they returned to a tiny, backwater Mexican town and there was a mariachi band performing under a shade tree.
I didn’t have my Air Pods in and I heard an acoustic guitar on the other end of the car, and finally started paying attention. It was two dudes playing dueling acoustical guitar in a very Mexican-folk vein. And they were dressed up in the slick mariachi outfits. I stopped reading for a bit to watch them and then flipped them a fiver when they passed.
Was a strange coincidence that just felt kind of good. The subway gets a LOT of negative press these days, but I love it when things like this happen.

Sorry if posted elsewhere and I missed it but MH was named first team AA. Well deserved for sure!
I just saw that. They didn’t mention in her in the headline and I was like, “Surely they picked her?” Whew.

I would like to get another dog but convincing the wife is different story... maybe a Shiba Inu, its the small cousin... maybe I could sneak him/her in and she'll never know... at least for awhile😇
You’ll know when it’s time. For us, we don’t have kids, it was just SO quiet w/o that pitter patter of her paws and weird little personality entertaining us.
When you talk to your daughter next tell her you guys also have a group of gruff old men with tears in their eyes thinking about you guys.

Disappointing end to be sure. I really thought we would wake up last night and pull it off.
Hardest part is knowing we got out efforted and out hustled.
Now I can put all of my fan energy into our excellent women’s team.
