  1. They probably promised USC and UCLA that they'll get to play IU every year, too.
  2. Yep, hasn't been that conference in what? 30 years?
  3. Yeah, I forgot about the B1G games in December.
  4. Apparently Washington and Oregon want in, as well. https://sports.yahoo.com/report-washington-oregon-eyeing-big-011819868.html
  5. What I really like about this schedule is that they give themselves plenty of time before each of the big games to rest and prepare. Xavier: 8 days UNC: 5 days Arizona: 10 days Kansas: 7 days Then all cupcake games are on shorter turn times so they get to practice playing with less rest/prep time against easier teams.
  6. I understand what you are saying but I think IU is still safe for a few reasons. 1) Huge fan base. Even though IU sucks at football, they still have a ton of fans around the country. Many of these are willing to dish out $ for junk like BTN+ so IU still helps bring in revenue. 2) Even in a super conference the top teams would still want some patsies to play for guaranteed wins. They don't want to play a full season of only top 25 teams.
  7. I live in Phoenix so I would love it if the B1G added ASU or UA.
  8. Another school on top of Cal and Stanford? Or USC and UCLA plus at least 1?
  9. https://footballscoop.com/news/usc-ucla-on-the-move-to-the-big-ten Btw, when did Oklahoma join the B1G? lol Another article: https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/usc-ucla-looking-to-leave-pac-12-for-big-ten-in-2024-though-deal-not-yet-finalized/
  10. Yes, a head case but a different type of one than Bates. He also doesn't have the dad baggage of Bates.
  11. I would think probably not. It would greatly change the power dynamic between him and the recruit. He would also be filling a vital role (assistant coach) with someone that might not be as good as someone else he could get. It just seems like it wouldn't be good from a culture standpoint. But I'm just guessing. I don't know Woodson's mind and I've never even met him. It just seems like it's not a good move unless that recruit is a sure thing that could lead the team to a NC, like Danny Manning. I'm hoping that Hunter will be here for a while, though, so this would be all moot. He might be tough to retain, however.
  12. In his recent interview, Coach Rosemond pretty much said Lander's issues were more confidence and learning the PG role than talent.
  13. I don't really like the idea of hiring an assistant just for a single recruit. Especially one who might be there for only one season. I also think IU can pick up a better assistant than Adams in the case of Hunter leaving.
  14. When I see his name I automatically think "Bazinga."
  15. And at Xavier who's a borderline top 25 team.
  16. Thanks, I couldn't remember who it was or which aspects that were talked.
  17. One of the players talked in an interview about the coaches working with them to improve technique. So it's being worked on. We also saw during the season some of the players improving their shooting.
  18. Player hype story. https://www.heraldtimesonline.com/story/sports/2022/06/27/ius-jalen-hood-schifino-expected-make-immediate-impact/7719019001/
  19. This wasn't basing "toughness" on how the teams were expected to play against their competition. So whether they would be favored or not wasn't part of the equation. That said, it wasn't exactly scientific as the article says so itself.
  20. TJD on this list. Says he just needs an outside shot. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/2023-nba-draft-10-college-players-who-could-replicate-jaden-ivey-keegan-murray-and-become-lottery-picks/
  21. They kept asking because they were trying to get specifics while he was answering with generalities.
  22. IU sports don't happen in a vacuum. We play other schools so what happens at those schools can be important. B1G teams, in particular, getting stronger or weaker had an effect on IU because we play each of those at least once per year. Besides, it's the offseason. Not a whole lot to talk about and it would be even less if the talk was restricted solely to IU
