yes. And on top of that it seems like IU stays away from the bidding wars. Then if a players says i want a cool hard $1M. Yes we could pay that, but so can Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, UNC, and a slew of others, then it comes down to other factors where we dont win regardless of money.

That's fair. I didn't mean to come at you if that's how you felt. The Men's teams absolutely deserves criticism. not saying they dont. Half of the critiques I am hearing are counterintuitive, or hypocritical.

you don't have to take offense to that, but you can if you want. It was just a question. I dont follow them if what I am doing with the Women's team is wrong, what is happening with everyone else and the men's team? Go through the Women's thread. They can't simply celebrate them, but have to drag the men's teams through the mud while doing so.

I don't think it's an acceptance of mediocrity. I think the expectations are different. look how much we lost last year. We expect a turnaround from that amount of turnover in 1 year? Rome wasn't built over night, and you cant build a program changing coaches every 3-4 years. What the frustrating part is Woodson get 0 credit on this board. Our players get 0 credit on this board, no excuses. But when you talk about Tom Izzo, or someone else, the excuses fly. Who needs enemies when IU has fans like this? Hell even your post. Even if Woodson were to recruit a damn good squad next year, he wouldn't get any credit, because the mop lady could coach that squad.

yes and no. I would say for men, marketability correlates with performance. The best players get the biggest deals. NIL maybe was the wrong avenue, maybe that comes from the collective.

I think McNeeley wants to be a 1 and done. Also, assuming nothing drastic is happening with the lineup, Woodson needs McNeeley to be a 1 and done assuming the correlation between McNeeleys success and IU's Regardless, I think they can play on the court at the same time.

you cant compare coaches and their records. it was a different time. we now have the NIL and transfer portal. Its easier to win, but only just for IU nowadays.
