  1. *cough. *reads very first sentence of the first post, and says to himself, "yah, I thought I thought I put that in there." There is an entire thread about Woodson. Let's not take this one over as well.
  2. Why is Dusty May not on the list? Is it that it is assumed he is FAU to IU? or is he not as highly thought of by others as your typical IU fan?
  3. I thought Hunter brought in Ware. And that's kinda my thing, if they are there to recruit and recruit only, it seems like they arent doing a great job. There was an article written about Purdue not too long ago about them pioneering an offensive coordinator role. https://www.si.com/college/2024/01/18/how-purdue-mens-basketball-coach-matt-painter-pioneered-offensive-coordinator-role
  4. maybe I'm reading too much into it. There is a difference of being "the man" and being the starting point guard and playing 25-30 a game. I wouldnt say Daquon, come take over Indiana basketball knowing I have MR, long shot, but maybe MM, and hopeful to bring in other guards from the portal.
  5. If that is an F1, and I just use this example, because it is the easiest, I would say Edey should have 2-3 F1 a game.
  6. No this is not another thread about CMW. So let's keep him out of here. We talk a lot about the players, we talk a lot about the head coach. I want to discuss more about everyone else on the staff. It seems like the best programs have the best staff behind the head coaches as well. I am not knowledgeable in this department, well any, but less so here. So I ask the following questions. Kenya Hunter was revered a couple years ago. Is that still the case? We brought in Ya, because his connections and recruiting. IDK what he has done the last two years. If he is not recruiting well, what is he doing? IU has basketball money, can IU create position(s) such as offensive coordinator in addition? 3 years ago i would have said our staff is one of the best in the country. I don't feel that way anymore. Seems like Walsh does all the leg work. I thought, at least in the past, that each assistant was in charge of scouting for future games. I.e. Ya is scouting and gameplanning for Purdue. Hunter is scouting and planning for NW. Walsh Nebraska. Is that still the case? Should we make offseason moves in the assistant coach category? Would someone like ISU coach or Dusty May or someone take a cool $1M to be associate head coach? No this is not another thread to disparage anyone and everyone.
  7. @kyhoosier29 sparks was driving and the arm flailed as he was trying to knock off the two hand hold. I didnt like the call, because on the drive it was a basketball play. If that's called. Everything else should be called. basketball play or not. Consistency is all i ask for whether i agree with it or not.
  8. fair enough. I just remember some of the Crean teams, or was it Sampson, where it was live and die by the 3 and I didnt really like having all hopes of winning a game based on "are we going to be on or off tonight"
  9. I loved the T. I sat on my couch and said, "For f*** sake. Someone finally cares."
  10. looks like someone we definitely should look at, if and when. But I have to laugh a bit. Not sure when how many 3pters his team shoots became a qualification.
  11. it boggles my mind how grown ass men have nothing better to do than to come on here and disparage anything and everything without even adding to or having a conversation/discussion.
  12. this was from 2013. It would be interesting to see where it stands now. Gut feeling Indiana is just outside top 10. Would this include prep schools like IMG, Montverde, etc, or the original state?
  13. And where does taking to an IU board to moan and complain about IU coaches celebrating a commitment stand? The trolls come out of the cracks everywhere I guess.
  14. I cant like this enough. Some guys just love to come out a spew garbage to see what sticks to the wall.
  15. That's a good start. So if he has these qualifications, he gets a longer leash? Here are the coaches that do not qualify: (*borderline) Dusty May *Scott Drew - last 10 years he has made it out of the first weekend 3 times with 1 ship. pretty good. but I wouldn't necessarily call that "success" *Bruce Pearl - between Tennessee and Auburn, in 15 season he has 2 sweet 16's, 1 EE, and 1 FF. I wouldn't call that success Just to name a couple and the hot names i am seeing.
  16. I have a lot of catching up to do from the weekend. But I am on board. You cant lose to to PSU at home by 14. The loss isn't as big as the 14. I will not say Woody failed, or was a failure. It's just time to move on.
  17. I'm amazed that you still come here to complain and argue about Purdue. Reading comprehension is pretty important when posing an argument. No one on here said they have to be even, just that 8 free throw attempts to 46 is egregious.
