Does your co-worker long for the Denny Crum days?
Not sure. He's about 15 years younger than me, so he would have missed Crum's heyday.

I have a co-worker who is a UL fan. Was talking to him yesterday about the situation, and that was BEFORE the announcement about the trustee meeting today. He had still not jumped off the Mack bandwagon and thought there was still a future for him at UL. Be interesting to see if all the news coming out last night changed how he sees it.

David Ortiz getting elected while Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens don't is an indictment on Hall of Fame voting.

Being down 1 I probably should hold off but I'll just go ahead. Chiefs and Rams. No way the 49ers can beat Rams 7x in a row right?
Crap. I forgot I was going to have you guys pick via PM. Oh well, we'll try to remember to do it that way for Super Bowl

Daily Commute Music Update
I'm not sure there is another musical act that makes my ears bleed more than Coldplay. This one, along with every other Coldplay song I run across, falls into the Immediate Channel Change category.
Edit: I've never actually heard anyone say they LIKE Coldplay.

If you were alive in the 70's & 80's you should remember the Doublemint Gum commercials.

We may have reached the end of an era. Dicki V shutting it down for the year due to his vocal issues and lymphoma. Whatever you think of his style, he has always been a great ambassador for the sport.
There is still hope that he can come back next season.

Okay. On the commute home today from work, this song comes on the radio. I should note that I have satellite radio, so I can get about any genre I want and switch channels like I do wives.
Anyway, this song comes on and I start to change the channel, and then thought 'You know what. I think i kinda want to listen to it.' And, I did. The whole song. And, I enjoyed it.
Why do I bring this up? I do because there is no way in hell I'm listening to this song if someone is in the car with me. it got me thinking, what other songs are out there that fit in that category.
So, I've decided to make it a habit of posting songs I hear on the radio coming home from work, and giving those songs one of these three categories.
- Immediate channel change
- Only if I'm in car by myself
- Carload of people approved
As mentioned, this one fell into the highlighted category. So, I ask HSN. Would you vote the same? Or, do you have a song that would also fall into that category?

Lander has probably as much potential as anyone on this team outside of Tamar Bates. He just needs to tighten up his game. Take better care of the ball, work on his shot a bit more, and make defense a priority. He has the athleticism and size (I think by next year strength won't be a problem). He has the handles and ability to get to the basket. He would pair very very well with JHS and Bates if he stays and get's better. Those guys while capable of handling the ball and taking their man are not create first point guards...they are looking to score. Lander can be that creative guy that breaks down the defense and opens things up for everyone....kind of like how Johnson has been doing (but hopefully a little more under control). Starting Lander, JHS, Bates is intriguing backcourt for me (if Rob graduates and moves on). Even if Rob stays look at how many minutes are available at PG if he is ready to contribute...he will play 20-25 regardless and that should be enticing for him.
Not saying Lander or Bates dont have potential, but Geronimo has more potential than either of them. JG is going to play in the NBA.

Living close to, and working in, Louisville, I actually want them to be good. Not because I like them, because I dont. But when they are better than UK, those are fun times in this area. Nothing gets a UK fan's drawers in a wad more than UL being better than them.

Given his reputation, and their recent 'issues', if Louisville were to hire Pearl, that would be the biggest middle finger ever given to the NCAA. Actually, it would be kind of fun to watch it unfold.

Race, who is currently shooting under 14% from 3. Love the kid, and I realize he hit one yesterday, but might be time to stop.
Race's time to stop shooting 3's was the first day of practice.

So, did KC use it all up this week and come out flat against Cincy next week?

Why not squib kick with 13 seconds to go to use up a few seconds. Why let them start from the 25 and Mahomes at qb?
I even told my son that before they kicked it deep.

Great ending but these defenses played horribly in the last two minutes.
Scott. Enjoy the moment and don't always try to find the negative. It's also 2 great QBs doing great QB kind of things.

So...you're saying having a bunch of strippers at the BBQ smacking balls would be a bad thing.
