You're not going to get a stud WR without a QB in place though.

Exactly.  A good WR without a QB to get him the ball becomes average.  Davante Adams is elite.  But, would he be elite without Aaron Rodgers?  He could be if his QB is Brady or Mahomes.  But, with someone like Jared Goff or Sam Darnold?  In that scenario, Davante has a big problem.  On the flip side, however, Aaron Rodgers is going to be elite even without Davante Adams.

You get the QB first and put WR around him.  Not the other way around.

There is an intersection in Jasper where this happens all the time.

Also, when a road is split by a crossing road, drivers not understanding right of way. For example, side street split by highway.  I'm in right lane turning right onto highway, opposite lane turning left.  Jackass turns as I'm turning but I have to stop to avoid an accident.  Ugh.

In downtown Louisville, there is a F'ed up intersection that I go through twice a day.  The street going East/West (Liberty Street) is one way headed East.  3rd Street intersects with Liberty.  The quirk is that North of Liberty, 3rd Street is one way headed South.  However, South of Liberty traffic is two-way.

My parking garage is on the block just South of Liberty.  So, in the morning, when I'm headed to the garage, it usually is not a problem   However, when I leave the garage at the end of the day, it gets a little weird.  I turn left out of the garage and go North.  Half a block later, I have to turn right onto Liberty and use it to catch 2nd Street to keep going North.  Shouldn't be that big of deal.  The problem is 75% of the cars going South on 3rd Street that also want to turn onto Liberty don't realize I have the right-of-way.  Yes, they are on a one-way street turning onto another one-way street, but I am the one turning right.  They are turning left.  It's my right-of-way.

  3. Well, we have a tie on the top.  @KDBand @ledies22both have 141 correct picks after 18 weeks of competition.

In consulting the official rulebook in situations like these, it states.  In the event of a tie after all competition is complete, refer back to the Week 16 results, and the highest scoring team for that week, regardless of overall standing, shall be declared the winner.

Based on that rule, it appears I should be declared the overall winner.  But, being the generous soul that I am, I'm not 100% sold on that being the right thing to do.  So, we'll just have to continue through the playoffs to see if we can break the tie (all the way through the Super Bowl).  If things are still tied after that, we may need to fall back on the Week 16 rule.

  4. Setting

    • Two lane road
    • Stoplight
    • No left turn
    • Left-hand lane is straight only
    • Right hand lane can be straight or a right turn

Pet Peeve:  The dumbass at the front of the line in the right-hand lane at the stoplight who is going straight, and is blocking the 9 cars behind him that want to turn right.  That left hand lane is there for a reason you dumb s@#t.

Yes.  This happened to me tonight.

    Carry on.

Tonight will be the measure for me if this team is turning a corner or will continue to be wildly inconsistent with focus and execution. Tough road wins are very hard to come by....stringing together 3 and 4 game win streaks is something we just haven't done in the past 5-6 years. I'd love to see us get on a little roll. We all want to get into the top 25 and I'm sure we can...but if we want to be a STAPLE in the top 25 we have to win consistently to stay up there. Not been able to do that much over the years.

Winning tonight will be damn impressive. :coffee:

When you collapse like the Colts did, questions and solutions are always going to be brought up.

There are solutions and then there are unrealistic scenarios.  And, one of the 'solutions' could be to stay the course.  Use the end of this season as a learning experience.

Keep in mind that two weeks ago the Colts were, outside of the Chiefs, the AFC team no one wanted on the playoffs.

Ryan is without question better than Wentz.

Ryan USED to be better than Wentz.  No question.  Joe Montana used to be better than Wentz as well.  But, as if 2022, neither of those guys is.

From your list, Rodgers, Wilson, and Jimmy G are better.  That's it.  If the Colts can bring one of them in, more power to them.  I personally dont see the first two as possibilities.  And, as @BGleasalluded to if the 49ers make a playoff run, Jimmy G gets quite a bit more expensive.

Rodgers and Russ aren't happening. Dalton, Fitzpatrick, Files and Winston are downgrades.

    So basically, Ryan and Garrapolo?

I had NFL Sunday ticket this year.  Trust me when I say Ryan is a downgrade (and an old one) as well.  Jimmy G is the only one on that list that could be reasonably considered both realistic and an upgrade.

Guys that we could go get include:

    Rodgers

    Russ

    Ryan

    Garrapolo

    Dalton

    Fitzpatrick

    Foles

    Winston

Potentially other guys available via trade or that don't get cut.

Do you seriously believe that Ryan, Dalton, Fitzpatrick, Foles, and Winston are better than Wentz?

Rodgers ain't coming.  Russ would likely prefer somewhere else as well.

So, from your list, Jimmy G is the only potential upgrade that I see.

  10. Man.  The Colts fans on here have gone cuckoo.  Making knee jerk moves have just as much chance to blow up in your face than they do of working out.

The foundation is there.  Other teams feared getting the he Colts in the playoffs all the way up until the Jacksonville debacle.  Tweak it.  Making a coaching change is NOT tweaking.

Rodgers would be a great short term upgrade at QB, but he ain't coming to Indy.  Russ couldn't find a way to utilize DK Metcalf.  That's a red flag with him.

Who else out there is a 'guaranteed' upgrade at QB.  Bail on Wentz and you may end up with Andy Dalton or Teddy Bridgewater. Lol.

  11. Never did watch Full House, but did watch Americas Funniest Home Videos the first couple of years it was on.

Remember when it was rare that we identified with the death of someone 'famous' because most of them were from a different generation?  I've totally crossed that line at some point.  Now, it seems I have connections or memories to all if them.
