  1. I don't have official statistics, but it seems as if there has been a shooting in Louisville every single day over the last 3-4 weeks.
  2. There's a trick to this. Is the 'player' in the Hall of Fame because of his managing skills?
  3. But once there, it seems like it would have spread out of control. The people in nursing homes in the U.S. were not world travelers either.
  4. So, news today that Remdisiver may be the drug that turns the tide against the Coronavirus. My question is why did it take this long for us to get to that conclusion? The drug, while not approved by that FDA, was specifically designed to stop Ebola. If it had proven effective against on pandemic virus, it seems to me those drugs would be the first place I would be looking at when the next virus comes along. How many lives could have been saved if all the red tape had been pushed aside earlier? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remdesivir
  5. The answer to the Complete Game trivia question is James Shields, who threw 11 CGs for Tampa Bay in 2011. And, yes, Manny Ramirez played 5 games for the Rays that year.
  6. Can someone explain to me how Pakistan, with a population of almost 213 million has fewer deaths than Indiana, with a population of less then 7 million?
  7. Great guitar play can make a song special. Great Drum play often goes unnoticed util its not there. But, no instrument adds more to a song than the piano, and so few can do it well. Whether it be Elton John, Freddie Mercury, or Billy Joel, the piano in the right hands tops every other instrument when it comes to making great music.
  8. While everyone is still trying to get the answer to the trivia question, here is another Complete Game nugget. Justin Verlander is the active leader with only 26 in his entire career, While that is understandably short of Cy Young's 749. Verlander does not even break the top 1.000 in history. It takes 38 to get into the top 1,000.(Note Bartolo Colon has 38, and while not officially retired,he did not play in the majors last season).
  9. Nope. Pedro threw 13 CG in 1997, but the most he had in the 2000s was 7.
  10. Since the turn of the century, only one pitcher has thrown more than 10 complete games in a season. Hints: He is no longer active In the year he did it, he threw 11 CG, but never had more than 3 in any other season. Manny Ramirez was his teammate
  11. I actually like 'In the Air Tonight'
  12. @Hoosierhoopster claims to hate country music, but I found this picture of him at a Dixie Chicks concert.
  13. How about Greg Luzinski then?
  14. Ashley Madison membership surging during Covid-19 epidemic. https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/coronavirus-ashley-madison-membership Something tells me those folks are not practicing social distancing or wearing face-masks.
  15. Who knew the Lakers were a 'small' business. https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/27/business/los-angeles-lakers-return-ppp-loan-trnd/index.html Okay, so I'm still not patting them on the back for returning the money. the audacity to apply in the first place is shameful.
  16. Cass County,, Indiana declares a health emergency. https://www.wthr.com/article/cass-county-declares-health-emergency-covid-19-cases-surge
  17. Out of the 31 deaths Indiana reported today, only 13 of them occurred yesterday. That's 18 deaths that should have been reported on a previous day., including one from 4/10.
  18. Sometimes your 5 day includes a weekend day, sometimes it includes 2 weekend days, and sometimes it would not include any. Something this important, with the impacts it is having, needs to be done right. We don't live in the pony express days where someone needs to jump on a horse and ride to Indy to report these numbers. It should not be that hard to report them correctly every day.
  19. Yep. Ernie was not known for his agility or quickness.
  20. Well, I'll give you a hint. It ain't Johnny Bench.
  21. Indiana's reporting is so jacked up. Every day, there are 'backdated' cases, especially over the weekend. The governor should demand next day reporting from the counties every day. It's next to impossible to identify a trend otherwise.
