You skipped my question regarding who on our current team you want shooting more threes.

lol. That team was at the forefront of this era of basketball. They shot and made more threes than anybody in the league. Specifically who on our current team do you want shooting more threes? Galloway? He can’t make a free throw right now. Johnson or Newton? Oh yeah, they’re not playing. Gunn? Is he above 5% in his college career? Mgbako? Sure, maybe, but he’s still not consistent.

Do you think if Mike Woodson coached that team, he understands modern basketball?

Have you guys ever watched any games Woodson coached for the Knicks? Ever looked at their stats?

It’s never made any sense to me why a coach would take a job where the previous coach was fired for poor performance and want to keep a bunch of those players. Seems like a great opportunity to turn the roster over faster and improve.

My genuine thoughts: 1. Posts like this are ridiculous. 2. There is little difference between coaching in college and coaching in the NBA. 3. "Woodson can recruit" is an interesting statement. Yes he certainly can, but other than Jalen Hood- Schifino, he really hasn't brought a guard in for 3 recruiting classes that is going to allow us to win at the level we expect.

The answer to your P.S., which is a fair question, is basically metrics. Oregon won by more, sometimes much more, against common opponents than Washington. The metrics made the first game between the two teams seem like an upset, or at least that Washington only won because they were at home. Oregon’s 81-7 win over Portland State doesn’t hurt those metrics, either. I would guess that if the teams played a third time, Oregon would still be a slight favorite.

The Cignetti family is pretty well known in football circles. That being said, time will tell. I have a feeling he'll be like Woodson due to his age, he'll want to win now.

Don't know about his defense, but his offensive scheme is very similar to Mike McCarthy, the Dallas/Green Bay coach.
