  1. Sure. And if I similarly insulted you here, you’d be the first one demanding I get banned.
  2. Anybody else in the running that's not being mentioned?
  3. Have you checked their message boards? 😁
  4. My answer to that, just off the top of my head, is that ARE and FCTA have different warts. ARE’s is a lack of experience running a program, while FCTA’s is a lack a skill running a program. While I see a lot of assumptions here that lack of experience automatically means lack of skill, that is not necessarily the case.
  5. Some of them just assume their money is going to get them whatever they want.
  6. Why would WRs leave if we’re keeping the same OC?
  7. There's also a huge donor who makes his winter home there.
  8. Just my opinion…used to enjoy Robbie Hummel, but he seems to have turned into Jay Bilas/Dan Dakich. Turned the sound off and turned on Don.
  9. Also where Mr. Pfau lives in the winter. $$$
  10. Just heard an intriguing name: JaMarcus Shephard, currently Kalen DeBoer's associate head coach at Washington, and a native of Fort Wayne.
  11. Agree. Nobody in IU’s administration missed 100 tackles yesterday.
  12. No offense, but I'd say the same for everybody the posts on message boards. You don't get the benefit of the rear-view mirror in real jobs like you do on message boards.
  13. With all due respect, this is what I don't get. Patterson was below .500 his last 4 years at TCU, then they fire him and go to the playoffs. Why would a guy who stopped winning at a school capable of going to the final 4 be successful at Indiana? A lot, if not all, of these "experience" guys would be Gerry Dinardo, Part 2.
  14. My hope is we leave no stone unturned and find the best possible candidate. I understand the want for experience, but I also hope we don’t hire a guy who failed at place with more resources than we have available (for example, a Gerry Dinardo type) just for the sake of experience.
  15. I’m not sure what they’ve sustained. Sure, they were good last year and look good this year, but they haven’t made it past the first weekend of the tournament since 2013. They got bounced by a 7 seed last year. If they were us, this board would be griping about how they underachieved in the tournament and wasted last season. Probably would have started a Fire Shaka thread. I guess time will tell if they actually sustain anything.
  16. IU scored but it’s not golden goal anymore
  17. Great insight. Glad I clicked on it.
  18. We did it at the end of the first half, too.
  19. I had forgotten about Bill Mallory, who we hired from Northern Illinois before NIU left the MAC for a while. So, Bill Mallory and Terry Hoeppner are the two coaches, at least in modern times, that we've hired directly from the MAC. Hmmmm.
  20. He was on our staff. He had coached at Ball State previously, though.
  21. Other than Terry Hoeppner, who most people think would have turned the program around and stayed here until he retired, who have we ever hired directly out of the MAC?
  22. The IHSAA did some sort of reevaluation of Dwenger at the beginning of the season and determined they did not have enough success factor points to continue in 5A. If I’m not mistaken, I think Dwenger was in 5A for 3 years.
