milehiiu
In that IU is and has been Adidas school for some time now.... I am going to say... that IU fans may if not concerned, should be cautious.

BeerBQ
I think everyone should be. It sounds like IU has come up a few times with Adidas people steering recruits. Hopefully no coaches are mentioned.

Not surprised IU has gotten a couple of mentions since this scandal broke, but I've never felt IU was in any danger here.

IU Scott
Of course you should be worried just like any other big time program. What worries me the most is that Romeo's dad had that AAU program and received money from Addias which on its own is not against the rules. I just hope he did everything legal but who knows what benefits he received that could have steered Romeo a certain direction.
mrflynn03
The way I understand this is these transactions are between shoe companies and recruits/families? If there is no involvement from the school or coaches how could they sanction a program?

It's certainly possible "innocent" schools could face punishment under "the buck stops here" policy. The reason that policy was put in place to begin with was to eliminate all the plausible deniability that coach Cal was using at every stop. At some point, it gets pretty hard to believe that no one at the school had any idea why the poor inner city kid is driving a new Ferrari on campus... Absolutely NOT HAPPENING. Really, zero reason to have this concern. This is how bad rumors start.

Bad Rumor? IU fans have every reason to be concerned. And it is warranted. We are an Adidas school and that company is the focal point here. Indy1987
The only recent recruit that worries me somewhat would be Noah. That commitment was a surprise. Hopefully nothing there but wouldn't be shocked. Go Hoosiers!!!

bluegrassIU
I can not say I am worried. I feel we are okay here. With that said, I sure will be glad when this is over and we are never mentioned. I would take a small exhale. More a nagging thought than a worry. FW_Hoosier
Not particularly worried. Doesn’t seem likely that we’re going to be mentioned in relation to anything major. And even if we were, so what? Outside of Louisville, absolutely nothing has happened to any program that’s been “caught” in this scandal.
Seeking6
Zero concern. Nada. Move on. We're good. No more talk of it. Got it? Haha..honestly...not concerned one bit.
