American Airlines with 250+ cancelations and 20% delayed (same % as Southwest).
There is a reason for this.
The company I work for hasn't required a mandate.
Instead they have a cash Drawing to incentive vaccination.
They know vaccine mandates will force people to quit. I could probably afford it but I like my job and would suck it up.
But people are quitting in droves.

Geez. Wouldn't surprise me if they banned the sale of 2 cycle engine oil too.
Newsome looks like Mr. Mackey from South Park.

You know the sad part about this is it is likely to have a cyclical effect. It basically speeds up the process where companies look at off shoring jobs and increasing their use of automation because of the staffing issues and all the cost of personnel increases etc. Big companies can afford these changes and technology moves etc but smaller/medium size companies then will have to react and very easily get squeezed out of the market as they can't afford to keep up. Not sure where all this goes in the end and not sure we as a country have a real sound fundamental solution to the problem....so if that is the case...why are we voluntarily taking measures to speed up the process. We should be trying to do the opposite and incentivize people to work and companies to hire and keep jobs here until we have a better handle on how we are going to navigate the future of the greater US labor markets. I'm not sure how our political figures can spin these things as a positive for the country, especially given the record level of debt Washington continues to rack up under both of these parties. Ugh...forgive me for my non-corona rabbit track.
Not sure if you are familiar with the Cloward-Piven strategy but it seems plausible its being followed to some extent.

She aged well, that is for sure.

I think the economic impact of mandates is being underestimated. Alot of people in critical positions or with irreplaceable knowledge and experience are going to quit or retire early. Who will replace them?
The ordeal with Southwest should be a wake up call.

This isn’t placing judgement on the Moderna vaccine, just my firsthand observation. My wife had the Moderna shots, I had the Pfizer. She’s an ACNP that is around immuno-compromised patients that have a whole host of conditions (including COVID) 3-4 days a week. You’d expect her to have the immune system of a tank. The Moderna shots knocked her off her feet for a good day or so both times. The Pfizer shots….made my shoulder feel like I pitched a complete game. Nothing Advil didn’t take care of.
I'm not anti-vaxx. Consider me hesitant with this particular vaccine.
If I am forced into it based on my research and people I know that have had it, I would choose the one dose Phizer.
I work for a contract Pharma company that produces both Moderna and J&J vaccines legally thats all I'm allowed to disclose.
Anyway, Moderna released a batch for employees.
Side effects got to the level they released a policy if you got vaccinated and had a reaction they had up to a week off paid.
I'm my group, nobody is willing to get another. 2 people went to the ER and my manager had a severe reaction but recovered.
I really think poor health and comorbities may play a part in vaccine reactions.
The conversation needs to shift towards people living a healthier lifestyle. Me included. I try but can do better.

Slice an onion, squirt it down with Lemon juice. Eat.
I learned this while touring India for 3 weeks. After about an 8 hour car ride, we were heading into our stop for the night in Daman. Daman is a "dry" state so my guide thought he'd treat me with an Indian Snack food. Sliced Onion with lemon juice.
It wasn't freakin booze, but I am actually sitting here right not munching on it. It's that yeng/ yang thang with a totally boring twist that I just can't seem to stop eating. Freakin punjabies!
They peel it first though right?

So when will there be vaccine mandates for welfare recipients? My tax dollars help pay for them to sit on their ass after all.
People should ask those opposed to employer mandates what their reasons are to understand why. That one in particular sticks in my craw.

Looking Glass Falls, Pisgah National Forest in N Carolina. We also drove about 30 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway but due to the fog, couldn’t see any of the vistas until we were down to about 3,100 feet elevation.
Went to Jump Off Rock earlier this week and we were warned not to go down any trails as a black bear had been sighted
We drove the the Blue Ridge Parkway from beginning to end. Some parts were kind of redundant but alot of stuff to do along the way. Got to see Appomattox courthouse where General Lee surrendered which was pretty cool.
Not sure about that waterfall but some scenes from Last of The Mohicans were filmed in the Pisgah National Forest.
We even went back a couple years later and stayed at the Biltmore Estate for our honeymoon.

I think that is at least 3 countries now. I believe the main concern is myocarditis in men. I'm worried now because I had Moderna.
Anybody that has seen this recently should check it out-
https://vaersanalysis.info/2021/10/08/vaers-summary-for-covid-19-vaccines-through-10-1-2021/
Keep in mind, there are likely many more events that have not been reported and all reports may not be fully accurate
I honestly don't know what to think. I work at a place that produces the Moderna vaccine. They set aside enough doses to vaccinate all employees. I haven't taken it and don't plan to. I've heard that some ended up in the hospital after getting vaccinated, related to that or not I really don't know.
What I do know is not one person in my group is willing to get another shot because they felt so badly after the first 2 doses. So good luck getting people to take the booster shots.

In college, a common non-traditional breakfast would be a can of Campbell's chunky soup right out of the can with a plastic spoon. Quick, easy, no dishes.

Honestly, good for you dude - we have ridiculously backwards standards for work/life balance in this country. I wish we didn’t have to bend the rules to balance it more, but sometimes the ends justify the means.
I completely agree and it was a much needed break.
I think there is a large segment of this population that values money over time, especially the ones that profit the most off of the time they dont have to put in.

That is a big issue that is not getting much attention. I'm not sure if it is everywhere, but I believe employers are legally required to pay employees for staying home with Covid. My wife was very concerned she would be liable for an employee that got Covid, even if not from the workplace, and due to quarantining, have to shut down for a week.
My previous employer would give the time off but didn't pay you for it. So it may depend on what state one is in. If you wanted paid you had to use vacation.
As soon as I received my stimulus check last year I got "sick" and had 8 days off. I let Uncle Sam pay for my time off and saved all my vacation days.

Yeah, im going to send Coach Woodson and email, or give him a phone call, or maybe just walk right up into Assembly hall and get an autograph.
Im feeling really really good about the future of IUBB.

From a paper written by Dr. Tony in 2012.
Research on Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Influenza Virus: The Way Forward
On gain-of-funtion research and the potential for triggering a pandemic.
Scientists working in this field might say—as indeed I have said—that the benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweigh the risks.

And under construction never bothers me. I have the ability to see things in their finished state and look past the current chaos. But my level of obsession/perfectionism has taught me to only have one thing going at a time.
Now the other person whose name is also on the title to this house…..much different story. 🤣
She gives me a hard time everyday. I can't work fast enough. Lol.
