It was a big no call. Definitely took two likely points off the board for the Celts but the Warriors would have had tons of time to get a shot. Changed momentum a bit though.

That was honestly one of the more entertaining quarters of basketball I’ve seen in a while.

It feels like the Celtics are looking to score instead of looking to get fouled this half. It’s making a huge difference.

I don’t totally disagree, but I think it’s also somewhat self inflicted by the Celtics. They flop on a high amount of their offensive possessions and are loose with the ball, so it makes it tough on officials. I have seen some missed calls both ways, but right now the Celtics just aren’t hitting shots. They’ve got to shoot better in the second half of this game is going to tighten up.

Why couldn’t they play Curry, Beal, and Klay? How’s it different than Curry, Poole, and Klay other than it’s better?

Yeah, they did. I do think when you look at the future of the East the Celts and Bucks will make up the majority of the Finals over the next 6-8 years. Obviously you guys can still win it this year, but this group will win at least one if not multiple titles IMO.

There’s a lot from that game that can be said, but Steph and Kerr deserve major props. Steph was a resume game. Was 2/8 from three at one point and finished 7/14, 40+ points, just unreal. Kerr really only got a great game out of one guy, but he kept tinkering and put his team in a position to win. Taking out Dray is no easy thing and a lesser coach probably doesn’t do it.

You’re probably right but overturning it is tough. Al wasn’t straight up IMO but also the contact only happened because of Curry’s off arm.

Good challenge - I think it’s 50/50 on it getting overturned (and probably just to a no call) but if Steph goes to the line the games over here.

I kinda blame Tatum for that. He looks really bad by his standards. We talked a little about the mental side of sports in another thread, and he looks almost afraid of the moment. That’s a bummer for me.

You can bait guys and it still be a foul though. I mean if Smart just got fouled by Poole then when he stole it from Dray for an uncontested layup and trucked him, it was a foul. This game is close and it should be. Refs aren’t the deciding factor IMO.

Yeah but you can’t hit shooters or truck the guy with the ball. It’s not just the foul discrepancy, it’s my eyes telling me that. Again, don’t think it’s like a huge story line but it’s definitely favored the C’s.

I don’t think it’ll be why the Celts win if they do, but they’ve gotten a pretty friendly whistle this game thus far.

Yeah I agree with this. Steph is clearly the best player in the series and it’ll be a bummer if he can’t get a Finals MVP at some point but if LBJ in 16 wasn’t a losing player getting it then this definitely isn’t.

Really great finish to the half for the Celts when it looked like the Dubs were about to take control heading into the half.

Has anyone here bought new irons or drivers/woods in the last year or so? I'm a mid handicapper. I'll go to a fitter whenever I pull the trigger obviously, but have interest in the G425s, P790s, and Stealths. Probably less interested in the Stealths because I don't hit hybrids well and would prefer to get longer irons over hybrids.

Great win last night for the Celts, impressive that they won going away even in a game where Steph got some help from Klay. If Poole or Wiggins can’t step up to be threats on offense it’s hard to see the Warriors getting back in this thing.

I’m not a Dubs fan to be clear, but I do really appreciate their greatness.
