  1. Gonna play some golf out there too? I'm tempted to grab a few buddies, play some golf Thurs and Friday, Vegas Friday night, wake up for the game, Vegas again after, then fly home Sunday.
  2. Can you imagine if some here got their way and we booted the best returning point guard in the conference for that?
  3. I guess this is where we will have to agree to disagree - people have sex, especially in committed relationships and we severely lack as a society in terms of providing various forms of birth control and in terms of sex education. But even without those two major failings, people can still get pregnant doing all the right precautions. I have no idea how careful they were being, but short of someone not having sex in college that's a risk we've all taken and I'm not going to judge a kid for doing a basic human thing. I guess from my point of view, life happens, and it isn't the Tamar did anything wrong, it just worked out this way and he seems to be making the best of it. I'm a fan of his and am rooting for him.
  4. Are you talking about him becoming a father? Would you have preferred he didn't prioritize parenthood?
  5. I agree he kinda got lost on the where his foot was, but are you trying to say he doesn't have good form here? I'm genuinely confused by what you're saying about him not squaring up and stepping forward....
  6. US Amateur was a great match - very entertaining golf.
  7. Would you prefer to see him miss? Or did you want some Clif videos?
  8. Those are both really high on my golf bucket list. I'd add Sand Valley as another I want to do in Wisconsin - would love to hit Erin Hills on the way up, play both courses at Sand Valley back to back days then head home if I was trying to make a long weekend out of it. Have thought about similar long weekend type set ups with Arcadia Bluffs - play Harbor Shores or maybe American Dunes on the way up, back to back days of 36 at Arcadia Bluffs, then head home.
  9. Where are you thinking for WI or MI? Some great trips with both of those.
  10. Very jealous of this trip; I've been trying to pull together a Midwest golf trip with some buddies and Chicago completely skipped my mind as an option. I'd been looking at Wisconsin or Michigan, which both have some great trips, but this could be easier for a quick trip.
  11. I think what the "point" is, is subjective. Golf has gained a ton of popularity the past few years, pre-LIV. So something has been working okay. You can't really join a Country Club in Hamilton County right now because they're all full. My personal take is that it's pretty short sighted to have the approach you're laying out; who's going to play the game at a high enough level in 20 years if this is what they're using to rope people in? You want to rope in casuals then show them Good Good or something along those lines.
  12. I don't think it does sound more interesting to most people. Most people who watch golf prefer serious golf - most people who only passively watch it are unlikely to watch much more than the majors no matter how they change it.
  13. That's not what I meant, I was comparing the attitude of play in the events.
  14. There is absolutely no way you couldn’t distinguish between the two if you know anything about golf (not just pro golf). One is a real tournament, one is a drunken “charity” outing.
  15. With Pierce, Campbell, Hines, and of course JT, we hav four guys that can give us a TD from anywhere on the field. How many teams can realistically say that?
  16. And I think Granson and Pierce will have roles when the regular season roles around. It was great to see them be effective.
  17. That's fair. I think he's still a good dude, he just has thin skin.
  18. I’d still be happy if my kids turn out like Durant lol
  19. True but he also added it to to 200, which isn’t what the actual averages are going to add up to when you simply add each player together.
  20. I think his top 8 is pretty spot on - I don't see the bottom 5 guys taking up 34 MPG though, that's probably getting redistributed quite a bit to the top 8.
  21. I understand the skepticism with recent history, but we absolutely have the best team heading into the season and are rightfully being projected to win the conference. We have best returning player in the conference, the best returning point guard in the conference, the best incoming freshman in the conference. We do still have questions at one position, but we have emphatic answers at every other spot. Not saying it's a lock we win conference because obviously it's not, but this should be a special season and we should be in it right until the end IMO.
  22. He's an undersized shooting guard (6'1 and never had more than 1.6 APG in his 4 years). He scored a lot on some bad teams, but does appear to be a good shooter.
  23. He has us as the to Big Ten team, so that’s cool. A 4 seed puts us in the 13-16 range, which seems about right at this point. I think we have better upside than that, but need a handful of things to break our way in terms of health and player progression.
  24. I think it’s not just that Taylor if a sure thing, it’s that all the guys behind him have a question mark and he doesn’t.
  25. When did I disagree with any of that? I never once said impressive and put okay in quotes. My point is there minutes went down when they weren't producing, they never once combined for 70 minutes as starters on the wing (sans double OT game), and we didn't have other options. You said the coach made a mistake, I just don't see it. There were no options and he tried to not play them together if they weren't scoring at all.
