Scott Drew and the UK AD are buddies, somewhat close enough.

I might be wrong  but i think both of them are on the board of directors for Face 2 Face a Christian non for profit profiling Christian athletes. My former minister runs the program. The President of the BOD none other that Steve Alford.

Hey everyone! My wife and i are finally moving back from Florida to the Indianapolis area. We are going to be new at doing a lot of the maintenance of the lawn ourselves, and we are looking for reliable contractors, plumbers, roofers, (insert anything you could think of). We just would love to compile a list of people who do business the right way. I appreciate any insights you can offer!

Welcome Home. I have no suggestions for those topics but I do know a sign guy...

We scored more points than Houston last season with Garner Minshew.  We started a QB in week 2 that was in his first 2 starts, as well.. and really that is a weak excuse "it was CJ's first couple of games" The very next week they blast Jax @Jax. Either he's a god or not a god.

Might check the rushing stats in the first game :)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gardner in Week 18-- 13-24 141 yards and OTDs... horrible. 1 rush 9 yards ... they played a backup QB in week 18. One that wasn't even playing well.

I under stand AR had 2 TDS not taking away from that just the argument that they beat a back up . On the flip side the Colts won without JT and lost with JT so does that mean the Colts are better without him?? Of course not so stats can be used to support whatever you want them to. What we cant spin is CJ threw for over 300 yards in each game against the Colts , he killed our secondary and the Texans added more offensive weapons for him. I think AR is going to be great but the Colts are not IMO supporting him like the Texans are CJ and we will have to wait and see what the next 10 years bring. The Texans are using the same strategy the Colts did after drafting Manning.

these are my thoughts, quite honestly.

We waxed the Texans when QB1 was healthy, then absolutely gave them the game in Indy with our backup, in multiple ways.

Their QB1 was playing in his 1st or 2nd pro game and look how he turned out. He torched our secondary all day long in the second meeting without one of their biggest weapons and now he has a decent running back and 2 play making receivers has a very good tight end. Our offense is not on par with Houston. I think the we have the better coach but when you have a QB on a rookie contract why not go out and get a big time play maker. I feel the Colts are not providing AR with the tools needed and Houston is with CJ. Not saying either is right but I dont think AR is getting enough weapons. The draft might help that. Last thing I am not positive but i remember hearing that the Texans were down 7 starters in the 1st meeting.

Also just checked. Here are the stats for the QBS in that first meeting

AR was 6/10 for 56 yards and 0 TD

    Gardner was 19/23 171 with 1 TD

That win was with our back up as well so the they beat our backup is not applicable for the 2nd game. Texans are going all in this year and the Colts continue to stand pat.

Yes, with Filipowski about NIL but it was exaggerated to fit a narrative.

Exactly. I had heard that the comment was why worry about how much money you will make. with all that Indiana has to offer I would play there for free like the rest of us or something along those lines

Ahhhh makes sense. Woodson didn't want him. Why create a split in the fanbase. Embellish things for causation.

the heir apparent did not sit well even thought that was only perception not reality. As fans thats what we assumed and if things did not go well do you really want to predecessor on your staff. There was no love loss to say the least

@RoadToZion @DC2345 wasn't there also issues Fife was creating with recruits....? For some reason i thought i recalled something with filipowski or something.

I just thought there were a bunch of things that added up, not on of those things individually being a see yuh later, but adding up of all the things?

info was "created" to support getting rid of him and not have the fan base that many loved Fife in revolt.

Woodson---> We need to get better.

A quote we heard all year all the way to the last game.

His IQ is below normal. His team reflects that.

I am afraid that he is either senile or so far in denial that he is clueless. In the BTT the teams advancing were scoring 80 plus points. IU cant do that in a game an a half but we can outscore opponents in the paint. Mike its not 1980 get your head out of your rear end and do you job effectively. Every single one of us would be fired from our jobs if our performance mirrored that of Woodys while at IU. We truly are the laughing stock of the college basketball world. Listening to him talk after each game truly reminds me of the last years of my grandpas life while dealing with dementia. Repeat the same thing over and over and living our memoires of 40 years ago. Its sad. Do us all a favor Mike and ride off into the sunset. You will earn more respect from the fan bae doing that than you will with the steamy pile of crap year we will have next season.

The IU staff feels like they have 1 or 2 big time transfers locked up. That said we’ll see if that actually plays out.

Not sure who the guys are or even if my info is correct but I heard our "big fish" are still playing for whatever thats worth.

  10. Growing up Selection Sunday was a holiday for me and I tried to pass that on to my kids. . My 2 oldest kids are 28 and 24 and for them I treated it the same way. We used to love to have our brackets ready to fill out and had so much anticipation of seeing how far West they were sending our Hoosiers. Its been a long time since we have done that just because IU is irrelevant in college basketball when it comes tournament time. I hate it so much. Instead of yesterday being a holiday I spent 10 hours painting the living room and hall ways of our house. Only looked to see if ISU made it and nothing else until today when i filled out a bracket. I miss the days of the excitement of Indiana basketball and being a homer and picking IU to win it every year. I have resigned to living the GLORY DAYS. Sucks to be an IU fan.

  11. Am I the only one that whenever MR touches the ball I truly have no idea what to expect? With him the full spectrum of possibilities are potentially coming. He might kick it into the stands, throw it over the back board hit a tough shot or make a strong post move and finish that leaves me speechless. I will say its an adventure for sure

  12. Happy for the guys to get another W. Might as well just keep it up . Gonna be a tough road. Hope that TG is good to go for the BTT. I can't help but keep playing the what might have been scenarios through my head. I think 2 more wins we were in safely and no talk of a new coach. Lets just go out and win this thing.

I don't even know where to begin as I reflect on this, but the words "red flag" do pop up in my head.

I get the feeling, from seeing his replies/comments to questions asked by reporters, that CMW does not like being questioned about how he does things or sees things.  He doesn't come across as someone who takes constructive criticism well.  Again, just my opinion from watching/hearing/reading him in interviews.

that's why people surround themselves with yes men.

  14. I believe that there are 3 possible theories here.

    1. Woodson's seat was never even warm

    2. THe seat was hot Dolson has his guy lined up and the BOT or President said no way

    3. Woodson has been told that he just needs to step away after the season. He had his vote of confidence which quiets one side of the discussion and IU does not have to fire him. Win win.

  15. Glad we got the win yesterday. Was able to listen to whole second half. This was a game that we should have won even with the struggles all year.  The season looks a lot differently if we had not dropped those winnable games at home. we have to much talent to be in the bottom half of a very weak league. Finish strong the next 2 and see what happens in the BTT

Respectfully, that collection of teams just isn't that good currently/this season.

I agree with that but you have to be pretty bad to score 30 or less. Not one team hit 50 points. I think that corner of the state are IU fans and been maybe been watching too much of this IU team and their shooting woes lol
