    Funny.

Hope that made you feel better.

Honest question and comment.  Who decides which posters can post the same thing over and over and be dull and monotonous,  and in what threads that's allowed??

I seem to remember a certain poster that likes to comment the exact same thing about Purdue sucks, who cares this is an IU board after many posts by our Purdue posters.i don't see many people complaining about those dull boring same thing every time posts. In fact I respect them because that's his opinion. That's coming from me, a guy who can't carry any one's jock. Is it PC to say pot meet kettle.

Because after all, that’s what these forums are for… so that some guy who couldn’t hold the jock straps of these players can sit in his living room and incessantly criticize. As was said, the message is one thing. Having nothing but negative comments is monotonous and dull.

Actually I prefer for others to hold jock straps, bras and panties are fine you can hold all the jock straps you want. Lamest sports cliche ever. Have a good night.

No one is arguing there aren’t things to complain about.  No one is arguing there aren’t problems.  But people act like they have something to prove when they come back again and again and again.  Repeating yourself (not you) doesn’t win anything.

Actually I have stayed away for the most part.

It’s not that.  It’s the people who say the same thing week after week.

Gonna go out on a limb and say it's its the same thing every week then just maybe there is something to it.

Rick Venturi made me spit my drink out. When he Said " Well he'll our 80 million dollar guard just got blown up again. " well we'll but I know he is greatest lineman ever  and Venturi sucked as a coach.

If Nelson was any other player he would not be an all pro this year. His past and name got that award. The reason why he knows Stewart deserved an all pro nod but in reality it's just a popularity contest.

So we are better with MR at QB over Wentz?

I'm sorry for using a 9-3 record as an example to show how the OL played better.

I have absolutely no clue what your post meant. Ryan has been sacked 38 times in 12 games.

I just want to be sure I understand.  Having a mobile QB that escapes pressure means the OL is good but having a statue back there means it's on the QB. I was on board with keeping Wentz because I saw a not strong OL last year and knew we had to have a mobile QB. I saw a weak WR room that needed time to get open. I did not think the OL was good last year and I think it's much worse this year.

After the OL got healthy-- week 4 last season.. they played well to very well all the way until week 17.

Our record during that time-- 9-3 with 4 wins over playoff teams, 3 of those on the road. The 3 losses during that time-- @Ravens, Bucs, Titans-- all playoff teams if Lamar isn't hurt last year.... shows that.

I don't agree that TY had that much to do with anything last season, but him not being healthy was a major detriment on the season as a whole.. because even the games he was active, he didnt always play a ton. I 100% agree about Doyles impact and Wentz ability to extend a play.

But.. week 17 for the OL was the week... vs Raiders at home. Wentz was only sacked once, but holy shit... he was pressured on like 24 of 28 dropbacks. Then was sacked 6 times vs the Jags.

6 of the total 32 sacks the OL gave up were in that game. 8 of the remaining 24 were in the first 3 games. So, that's 44% of the sacks coming in 24% of the games.. and.. as mentioned they were very banged up to start the year last year.

The stats you use to defend the o line are the same that you use to crucify Ryan. You guys can spin it with the best

TY did not play until the 6th game of the season. In the first 5, Pittman had 29 targets, or almost 6 a game, and averaged 12.2 yards per catch. In the last 12 games he had 59 targets, or a little less than 5 per game, and averaged 12.7 yards per catch. Hilton did not have the impact you think he did. But then I needed to spell that out for you.

Unless you watched a ton of coach's tape, I don't know how you have the capability to break down each running play to discern how much of the success was based on Doyle, how much was the O-line, how much was JT's natural ability to make tacklers miss. Yours is one set of eyes. I trust the statistical measurement of multiple people who have no skin in the game in regards to a positive or negative opinion, who rated the line in the top 40% of all lines.

I appreciate you spelling  it out for me. Prior to you doing so the 40+ years of watching football I just missed it. Thank you. Pittman and the OL was so great I forgot the Colts won the division and made a deep run.

According to some of you the RB, is great Pittman is great, the OL was above avg last year still over paid defense was great 6th easiest schedule and still missed the playoffs in the AFC South. You guys are correct I guess. I will stand by my assessment.Ol was and still is crap and others bailed them out

The O-line was ranked 12th last year. Not great, but not garbage. TY only played in 10 games and caught 23 passes.

Yes it was garbage as I said it looked better because of a mobile QB, Jack Doyle and the THREAT of TY. You can spin numbers how ever you want and make them support what you want but my eyes told a different story. Many of JT's best runs were sprung by Doyle and just that little extra time that Wentz could buy allowed not great receivers to get open and made the line LOOK better than it truly was. It did not take Lamb long to realize that having TY as a deep ball threat i going to be very beneficial to him. I stand my belief that the line was garbage and other players masked that and now it is on full display.

My problem with Ballard is more on his unwillingness to do much in free agency. He keeps talking about cap space but what good is that cap space if you have a lot of holes on your roster.

If they hung banners for cap space we would be in the top quartile of the top quartile.  Rare Air!!

Derek Carr will be available. Not completely like the Ryan and Rivers acquisitions as he is much younger. Seems to be a locker room leader as well, v Wentz who it is said was decisive.

Any interest in picking him up and using the high draft pick to address other needs?

I am all for it. I though Adams going there would close the door on Carr going anywhere

  11. Ballard has taken the role of just try to be mediocre and keep his job and it has worked so far. As many have said the clock starts to tick once you take the franchise QB. I have said it many times as a coach and it applies here as well. You can be comfortable or great but you cant be both and Ballard has elected to be comfortable and it is showing.

  12. Who leads the league in made 3 pt fgs this season?? If you said Buddy Hield you are correct. Haliburton to Hield is the #1 assist combo in the league.  This team is fun to watch and I think that in 2 years the6 can contend for the East. Haliburton and Matthurin can be Tatum and Brown IMO.

Luka dropped the 1st ever 60, 20 , 10 game in NBA history

All day long. I know everyone says Payton to Cowboys if MM doesn't advance in playoffs.....but the Chargers on paper are pretty darn attractive to me. More so than whatever the Broncos/Raiders could offer if the latter is no longer there.

Agree all day long. I hate to beat the dead horse but of the receivers that played in last night's game Pittman is number 3 in talent. I can't think of more than a few teams that he is a number 1 WR. If he is our number 1 we have a low offensive ceiling.that old Hilton guys first catch wasn't too shabby. The Colts don't have a QB to deliver a ball 52 yards a line to block long enough to throw it 52 or a guy fast enough to get open 52 yards down field but I keep hearing about the greatness of the WR room,  ugh

These coaches aren't dummies either. They know if they need to draft a qb it gives them (in most scenarios) a good 3 years if not 4 for development. Having nobody at QB could be a good thing in terms of job attractiveness. Not necessarily winning right away but they'll be around.

I get that but I don't see those guys wanting a rebuild situation.  Personally I think a team with lots of playmakers is more attractive than a team with a proven QB

I listened to the games on the radio. I am an IU fan for every sport and just can't picture being fans of different schools fir different sports

Why is that hard to imagine. If you never got to see ir hear a team play how could you be a fan of that team. The only player I had heard of from IU was Anthony Thompson because he was in the Heisman running.

If a person grew up out of state but went to IU, you can't see how they could like different teams??

I was a fan of the Angel's a few years ago because a kid from our town was pitching for them. Lots of reasons to like different teams. As kids we learn to like teams we can see, that win and ate relevant and for me IU football was 0 for 3 in that category but ND was 3 for 3
