    Whoop whoop :)

My 3-headed monster has been really paying off: Lamar Jackson, Cooper Kupp, and Travis Kelce. I’ve been the benefactor of my other players stepping up due to injury or playing better than expected.

I could not overcome CMC on the bye week and no production from 3 starters. Was closer than I expected to be. Gotta have a bounce back against @Indykev

Alex Gross's family will be sitting in my 4 court-level seats for this one.  Church friends and Alex played at Hauser nearby.  Had a chance to play overseas but did the grad transfer to Morehead instead.

First time I have ever violated my policy of no opposing fans in my seats but this seemed like a legitimate exception - the family is STOKED!  Also, I informed all of those around me in my seats last evening and all are cool with it.

    That said, Go Hoosiers!!!!!!

Mrs. Gross was on of my son's favorite teacher. Great Family

    Sure was.

Things good? Haven't seen you post lately and basketball season is kicking off.

Thanks for noticing, been a crazy month. Trying to limit my time on here. Being pulled in too many directions and not much spare or free time right now.

I definitely understand the frustration and being sick of Draymond, but he did apologize to both Poole and Poole's family for what it's worth.

That said, I think he should be suspended for some amount of games that actually matters. I've heard all the former players say fights happen in practice and these things normally stay in house, but I doin't think that was a fight as much as a sucker punch. I definitely don't put this in the same category as punches thrown in a game against an opponent, but something in the 5-10 game range feels right to me. Just my $.02.

It's different but Aaron Donald got nothing suspended for his fight against the Bengals because it was practice. I see the same thing happening here. Let the team handle it. Hopefully GS makes some type of statement with a suspension.

Clearly the Colts have to play better. Cannot win many more games without improving offensive output.

O-line has to block better, but I take into consideration that they started a rookie at tackle, moved Smith into guard, lost Kelly and Hines early in the game. O-line play, more than any other unit on a team, has to be in cohesion. With a new center calling protections, a rookie from Germany with limited experience at tackle, running backs farther down the depth chart who probably weren't fully up to speed on their blocking responsibilities, and a quarterback still learning a new system, it doesn't surprise me how bad they looked last night. OTOH, they did run for over 100 yards, with that same patchwork line.

Ryan has to play better. No doubt about it. Putting in comparison:

Peyton was 2-3 his first 5 games with Denver

Brady was 3-2 his first 5 games with Tampa

Favre was 2-3 his first 5 games with Jets

Quarterbacks take time to adjust to new systems. New terminology, new teammates, new everything. I was listening to Pat Kirwin yesterday on NFL Radio, and he referred back to Manning's first year with Denver. He interviewed their head coach at the time, John Fox. Fox said that their training camp was spent "learning Peyton's offense". Meaning they didn't expect him to come in and learn their new systems. The team learned what Peyton had done all the years with the Colts. Makes sense, and maybe more teams need to go that route.

Not worried at all over the media backlash. They're paid to shill what sells. Bad news sells news.

Agree with all of that but there is a big difference in looking bad and what we are seeing. This is historical offensive futility.  I know an ugly win is better than a pretty loss and wins are all that matter but they are an unsportsmanlike penalty and a poor coaching decision away from being 0-4-1  or 0-3-2

My concerns are like many of us Colts fans we saw all of the areas of.concern and yet it was not addressed. Then Ballard looks down on the fan and is smug and acts like he is the smartest man in the room and is above criticism. I am afraid they have settled with being a mediocre team.

Not an answer to your question, just a quick story.

At a Wisconsin basketball game, years ago.  Halftime in the old barn.  Pro golfer Steve Stricker put on a fun show.  They set up a fake-grass tee box at center court, then passed a peach basket around in the crowd.  People held it up as a target.  Not front row stuff.  The basket went 30 rows up or more.

He chipped in 18 of his 20 shots into the basket.  All in different locations, different distances and angles.

He did it for a lark.  Just goofing around.

It brought home just how much more talented these guys are than regular players.

I remember a video of Sorenstam hitting irons with her husband sitting in a lawn chair and a catchers mitt and a 5 gallon bucket. Dude did not to move
