Right now it's more fun watching PU vs. the Loosiers.....

They are playing the brand of basketball us old timers like

I hate having to agree to this but you are correct. I love watching the ball move and not die in the hands of certain players. I don't hate the IU offense but it is so reactionary to what the defense does to Trayce and can become stagnant.

I had heard Coach Knight say a million times that the defense is always wrong. I heard Zeke on a podccast last week say that there were no plays and no OB plays they were taught how to play and how to react instantly to how the defense played. By doing that they always stayed a step or two ahead. Currently we react but its just so slow and methodical.

Have always felt that Henderson’s injury cost us our sixth banner.

For sure as well as May. Not sure any other school can say that. Hummel hurt PU for sure but not sure they win it all with him. I feel very strongly that with Henderson and May healthy we have 2 more banenrs.

This is a really good article by Zak Keefer:

The longer the Colts go without finding Luck’s successor, the more it burns Irsay — what could have been, what it’s cost his franchise. After Philip Rivers’ successful one-year stint in 2020, the owner wanted to find the team’s next quarterback in the draft, and in Irsay’s words, “grow our own.” But head coach Frank Reich wanted Wentz, convinced he could salvage the former No. 2 pick’s career. So the Colts made the move, thinking Wentz would be in Indianapolis for multiple seasons.

Hours after the Colts’ Week 18 loss in Jacksonville, Reich sat in Irsay’s office and apologized to his boss.

“I thought I could fix him,” the coach said of Wentz. “But I was wrong.”

That’s when Irsay started to lose faith in his head coach, most in the building believe. Reich never regained it.

An early issue (for Saturday) was finding a play-caller, a duty Reich handled since arriving in 2018.

Saturday first went to quarterbacks coach Scott Milanovich, the only assistant on staff with NFL play-calling experience. But Milanovich would only accept the job if he received a bump in pay, according to two team sources, which infuriated some in the building. The Colts refused to budge, and Milanovich turned the position down. Saturday then asked running backs coach Scottie Montgomery — a former college head coach and one of the most respected assistants on staff — but Montgomery turned down the gig as well.

Saturday finally turned to an assistant who couldn’t say no. He walked into the office of 30-year-old assistant quarterbacks coach Parks Frazier and shut the door.

“You ready to do this?” Saturday asked.

    “I’m ready,” Frazier told him.

As a coach, Saturday’s been wildly overmatched. The team’s regression has been obvious, the results damning.

I still find it amazing that those guys turned it down. They are coaching the worst offense in the NFL they should be thrilled to have a job let alone a raise. They should pay the organization back some money before getting a raise.

I think Bradley and Bubba are good but everyone else needs to go.

  4. Listening to Matt Taylor talk about the Colts this morning he said some things I think I knew but hearing them are still shocking.

The Colts have 2 offensive TD'S in the last 13 quarters

They have had 3 games in the last 6 that they have allowed the opponent to go on a 30-0 run.

Pittman should get to 100 catches but make not get to 1000 yards. Has any WR ever done that??

Honestly, a .500 record in conference is probably best case scenario at this point.  We will not win out at home and be extremely lucky to get more than 1 or 2 wins on the road.

To quote a great Metallica song, Sad but true.

  7. Last night's game inbodied the past 20 years of our program. We get excited, hopes are high things looking great then the wheels fall off. Injuries poor FT shooting not getting the clutch call and falling in the end. The roller coaster ride continues.  I think being let down after high hopes is better than my empathy during CAM stint but I'm not sure.

At what point do we start winning these games, I have been asking for so long.

I hate seeing Purdue be good and hate it even more when this year was supposed to be a down year for them and the breakout for us. Here they are getting to #1 with kids that were not rated high enough, or tall enough or athletic enough or whatever reason to play at Indiana.  Burns me up.

I don't drink or cuss but after the PU win and IU loss I wanted to chug a bottle of Jack and scream every profanity I know and make up some new ones. Not really but it is sickening.

    I can't wait...
I can't wait until he is well and conscious...
I can't wait until he hears the stories...
The stories of how an amazing first responder team resurrected his failed heartbeat while millions held their breath...
How grown men wept in horror at what they had seen, then dropped to their knees beseeching God to intervene in his behalf...
How the Bengals team visited the Bills locker room to encourage and show compassion to his team mates...
How much of downtown Cincinnati and the stadium was lit all night in Bills blue to remind people to pray for him...
How hundreds of Bengals and Bills fans prayed together by candlelight at University of Cincinnati Medical Center...
How $5 million (and counting) have been raised for his childrens' charity...
How the anchors of ESPN actually bowed their heads and prayed aloud on world wide television for his complete healing...
I can't wait for his mama to sit on his bed and tell him all the stories about how God used a young football player to teach a nation what is truly important…

Didn’t know who posted this earlier today. This was written by Kathy Sprinkle!! So beautiful!

That gave me goosebumps.  So well written and true.  God uses tragedy to reach the masses. At the moment we only see a small part of the picture but we are starting to see the bigger picture here. Thank you for sharing.

Damn. Donovan Mitchell breaking Jordan’s scoring record of 69 in Cleveland against the Bulls.

Kinda pisses me off that the bulls fouled him in the last 30 seconds and the 2 free throws broke the record.

No pride. Foul somebody else or make him earn it.

    Some interesting side notes.

In scoring 71 and dishing out 11 assists DM accounted for 99 points the second most ever. In his 100pt game Wilt accounted for 104 and in Kobes 81 pt game he accounted for 85. Those 2 knew how to share the ball for sure lol

As a football fan, it makes me think its scripted. How could anyone who played this game like BS did think this is Tees fault? Unreal

Unbelievable for sure. As if Higgins is not feeling bad enough already. He also has been open about his mental health issues and lost his father this year. I feel for him and BS is and always has been a giant loud mouth POS.

But a majority of the bowl games this year have been gun slinging, must see, thrillers.

But i totally agree about sitting out, as does the famous Nick Saban lol.  I think these NIL payers need to put a no sit out clause.

I thought so as well, I saw a stat that said the average score of the bowl games this year 53 pts which was the lowest in nearly 20 years. I found that shocking, every game I watched the score was at 80 or more it seemed.

Clearly no one decides, but anyone can state their pov.
Frankly, not sure what brought you to this conversation because you really weren’t posting anything about the Colts game.
I don’t care whether I am the favorite or least favorite poster here. I can take the jabs, but I won’t stop expressing my opinions. Sorry if they rub folks the wrong way.

Neither will we even if dull and monotonous
