Well if they have any kind of DNA from this case and that person was in prison they should be able to find a match since if you go into prison they take your DNA.

Yep. Hope so! Has to be something along those lines because if someone hasn't talked yet they aren't talking so forensics has to be the answer to solve this one.

  2. I've only watched a couple of OKC games but one thing worth noting with Westbrook. He seems to rely on his athleticism to create his shots. If I was an OKC fan I'd be concerned about not being able to create those shots as father time catches up. He better be working on a pure shot vs creating because earning $40M per year and slowing down a tad won't play well.

  3. 26 months and no arrest and now it's time for a new direction. Just my two cents but when an investigation goes on that long it seems to me either they were looking at wrong suspect or suspects the entire time.....or that the best suspect has been safely tucked away in prison somewhere and people didn't know he was the suspect. For the sake of the families, friends, and community I hope they get closure soon.

I don’t follow the Pacers as closely as all of you do but seriously...come on...hoe many teams could lose their top player and not show the impact? The fact that the Pacers still stayed where they were and made the playoffs is at least a small win. Losing a player of Vic’s caliber changes way more than just his stats.

imagine if the Bucks had lost Giannis? Or the rockets lost James? Would their fans be irrational to complain that they lost in the first round and struggled to compete? Plus it’s not like the Pacers have a few stars...it appears to be a team built around Vic being the man and everyone complimenting around HIM. So of course they’re gonna look like a shadow of what they should be. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Remember. We summarily dismiss our injuries for our college team as an excuse so it's natural to do the same for our NBA team too...right? Haha. Pacers as a team actually surpassed all of my expectations this year after Vic injury. Now we just need to get Vic healthy, resign Bojan, find another potential or close to all star in free agency or trade and Pacers have to decide on Nate.

Nate can be a very good regular season coach because he keeps it light, isn't beating the team up....but in playoffs it might not be what a team needs.

Pacers performance in these playoffs has been an embarrassment and it shows that there needs to be some major changes next year.  Even with Victor this teams ceiling is about a 4 seed and maybe winning a series.  McMillian coached well this season but his offense is so stagnant and plays so slow and they have to take a lot of bad shots at the end of the shot clock.  Also he is so stubborn with his substitution patterns and never changes them.  He thinks he has to make certain substitutions a the same time in every game and doesn't keep the hot hand in the game.

Was really trying to figure out why the hottest hand (Tyreke Evans) played the 2nd fewest minutes in 2nd half. Made zero sense. As a team the Pacers should be proud of regular season and not folding after Victor injury...but the East is open for the taking. Have to find another star in the off season....somehow someway otherwise they are exactly where you suggested. Maybe win a series but nothing else.

  6. Pacers blow 12 point lead in 4th. From the 11 minute mark on they went 3-12 for 9 points from field. Minus one call when Bojan hit the deck (big missed call) the Pacers looked frozen in the final 2-3 minutes. Almost like they weren't prepared for stage. Reinforces my opinion. Besides a healthy Victor this team needs at least 1 more borderline All Star. Have to almost have 3 All Star candidates in the NBA to make it to finals.

The Lakers organization is an absolute embarrassment.  Buss/Magic/Pelinka ran that team into the ground, and then Lebron just blew everything up.  I can’t believe how big of a mistake he made going to LA... Honestly might ruin his legacy to a certain extent.

I don't think Buss would do it but if I were running the Lakers. With Wade retiring....I call Pat Riley and see if it's time to make up. It's literally impossible to have the Lakers be this bad for so long. Almost like the Knicks.

Lebron is about to find out how much love Laker fans have for Magic. Lebron is starting to look foolish until he starts delivering players.

I'll normally jump in on tech discussions, but this is something I've never investigated.  The city I live in actually has cable tv/internet available as a part of our utilities.  I get 100-some odd channels, plus HBO for about $45 a month, and after the first 12 months, no contract.  No BTN, but I wind up listening to the TuneIn radio stream more often than not anyway.

To me, not worth the hassle for $45 a month.  If it was $150-200 a month just for the TV portion like I've seen, then yes, absolutely.

This would be awesome and I am envious. Back when I had cable (3 years ago now) with ATT package in 3 rooms, DVR, HD,etc.....plus high speed internet I was clipping $200+ per month easy. Now I just have high speed internet and Netflix. $70 per month. Everything else I need sports wise I can usually figure out a way to get for free....just need about 5 email addresses.

  9. I applaud you do it yourself folks. My grandfather was one of the first electrical engineers to work on video phone's back in the 60's with Westinghouse (now ATT). My Dad (even though he was a CPA) can rebuild any sort of car in the world. What of those skills did they pass down to me? I know how to drive a car every 4k miles and get the oil changed and I can unplug an outlet with the best of them.

Otherwise I'm screwed in that world. I've tried and tried (very frugal) but ends up costing me more time to fix and repair what I did. So I did the next best thing. Found a handyman who charges cheap and takes cash for discounts. Good luck with projects!

  10. Pacers with 3 game lead on Celtics to host 1st round of playoffs. Start of a pretty brutal 11 game stretch that takes us almost to end of March. 3rd to last game of year could decide who hosts. 42-23 while down Vic (and others). Pretty impressive still.

As much as I like TB, I'll take Domas every single time.

Absolutely.....but plenty on this board implied he was an extra on the day of the trade. Only a few of us dug in deep and said the Pacers did very, very well the day of that trade.

Scott-Regarding 5th best record. I agree....we are in great shape but that doesn't mean we should have taken OG over Leaf.

Whenever there’s big money involved there will be cheating and fraud. We all know this but enjoy the game anyway. Sucks though, think of all those games just one dirty ref changed.

Yep. One game can change plenty. We know it very well. Imagine if Crean figured out Cuse zone. He'd probably still be our coach. Haha

So glad to see Bryant finding his footing in the NBA. I always really liked him and enjoyed watching him play, and without him the 15-16 team doesn’t come close to the conference title and Sweet Sixteen.

Yep. Another really positive is he took his benching like a man and followed it up with 23 and 12. Obviously biased but to me it's insane the Pacers didn't draft Bryant or Yogi in 2nd round....or at the very least give them a look. I'm still ticked we let OG go to Toronto and took Leaf. All 3 have proven and are proving plenty of GM's don't know what their looking for in NBA players.

As a reminder that there have been and probably are dirty refs out there, this story on Tim Donaghy is an interesting read:

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25980368/how-former-ref-tim-donaghy-conspired-fix-nba-games

    This nugget from the story:

"If you looked at the stats," said one gambler in The Office at the time, "you could see he was calling more fouls on the team he bet against and less fouls on the team he bet on. That was obvious."

Said another: "Did I assume he was fixing the games? Yeah, I did. But I didn't give a s---, because it was great information. From 2003 to 2007, we didn't miss a game. Any game that he reffed we had a wager on."

Thanks for posting. It would be pretty naive to think there aren't dirty refs out there right now we just don't know it yet. The Donaghy's of the world have made me unfortunately skeptical about officials when I see one or two who consistently are making bad calls or controversial calls. I should start tracking the spreads.

  15. When Victor went down I believe our chances to represent East went with it. I will say though after losing 4 straight the Pacers have found their footing and won 5 in a row. Bad competition but still pretty solid. No clue on the East right now. If I were betting I'd say Bucks. Gulp.

  16. I know criticism comes with the territory and no perfect way to handle a player demanding a trade. With that said are the Pelicans really going to roll AD out there the rest of the season (20-25 minutes per game) and risk an injury? Having the fans boo him at home the rest of the year like they did last night? Seems to me there had to be a better way to handle.

Hard to believe that the Celtics lost to the Lakers after the Pacers beat them by 42 points two nights ago.

Reason 398,432 why I don't gamble. Long road trip. Trade deadline gone. Team in disarray. If I was a gambler I would take Boston all day long.

Lakers get a huge win tonight @ Boston -- Rondo hits a buzzer beater for the win!

Just saw this. Was weird the other night Rondo was sitting so far from his teammates on the bench and now so happy for him? Going to be a bumpy ride for LA this year. Lebron basically wanted to trade his entire team and now he has another 3 months with them.
