Cody broke his hand.
My favorite was last night when someone on twitter immediately said he's out for the year and plenty blew up and took the bait. Finally someone asked how,etc....and of course the guy said because this year only has 4 more hours in it.
Joking aside hate it for him. Anyone know timeline on return?

Pacers definitely have been up and down -- but are still clearly top 3 in the East. The EC playoffs are going to get really interesting fast. P's could knock out one of those other contenders. Everyone thinks its Toronto or Boston, maybe Philly that makes it out of the East this year. I tend to think it will be Toronto, though Boston could come on late (much like Houston is doing now) when they get their act together. But hey, it just might be the Pacers, they stack up well with anyone in the East.
Heard a pretty cool stat today. Since Victor joined the Pacers. We are 32-4 when he attempts 15 shots or less in a game. Anyone who coaches or have kids play....should be sharing this stat.

I heard that too and thought that was interesting. Reminds me of Scott May going to IU however his son chose UNC. I cannot remember for the life of me why Sean chose UNC
Don't have any specifics but there was so much bad going on at the program after Knight firing, retaining Davis,etc....maybe he just wanted out of town? From what I understand he's been doing a great job as Director of Ops for UNC. Certainly can't hurt having him on recruiting trail.

Pretty expensive eating for a 6 year old. Swordfish ain't cheap.
Was lucky in certain aspects. Of course I also was the only kid in the neighborhood who had a paper route at age 8. 65 homes. Papers had to be delivered by 6am. Chicago. Gets a little chilly and windy in the winter which is technically mid Sept-May.

As a 6 year old growing up in the midwest I can say that when we visited my family in Santa Barbara I had swordfish. At the time it was the strangest thing I thought possible to eat. Still to this day I remember how good it was. Mind was blown at an early age.

Just in case anyone cares. Bryant went 14-14 from field tonight. 31 points. 13 boards.

Not sure where this best fits, but I really enjoyed reading this about Charles Barkley.
What a great read and thanks for sharing. I think some of these superstars just want some normal and this is a great example of that. Barkley gets an uptick again in my book.

Hmmm, OG would be interesting. I really, really wanted him but man the way Bogey has thrived in this system has been fun to see. Not sure how you'd made all those pieces come together.
Yep. Agree all day. I get Toronto making the win now move after Lebron headed West....but making that move and stunting the development of an All Rookie team guy? Weird. NBA players seem to have long memories. Maybe OG will remember this when looking around.
I'm with you as well Bogey has been just awesome. Pacers on pace for 56 wins. Not many saw that less than 2 years removed from June 2017 trade.

OG has not had the type of impact for the Raptors that I expected this season. He's clearly fallen behind Siakam in the rotation as well.
My limited understanding is Siakam is playing 4 and OG 3 this season. Addition of Kawhi is the only reason he's lost minutes. Pretty weird situation though. I would think OG and Kawhi could operate on same floor. Guess not. Oh well...I'll gladly take OG for Pacers in 2 years.

Pacers just absorbed an incredible Embiid first half and won in Philly. Time to stop doubting this team.
Really impressive run the Pacers are on. Getting Vic back and others keep contributing. I think Toronto is probably best in East....and I'm sure some will still say wonder boy will have him team up top this spring but these two wins this week (Bucks, 76ers) and how we finished each game....shows we are as good as anyone in the East.
Ballard will get more attention because it's still a Colts/NFL town but Kevin Pritchard should start getting some serious run as well. Phenomenally deep team. Carefully pieced together while not being a destination spot for high end free agents( that might change).

Interesting thread on a Kings board. Their fans are befuddled with how Yogi has been used (not) this season.
Thanks for posting. Seems to be a common theme with some of our former guys.....Bryant, Yogi, Williams, OG...nice to see fans appreciate the talent and desire these guys have.

Win of the year so far for the Pacers. Bucks made several runs but we controlled the game throughout. Somehow manage a win in philly on Friday and the confidence will be soaring.
Don't get to say this often but great team defense by Pacers won this one. PS...Yogi had 17 points in 16 minutes of action last night. Bryant with 8 and 6 and only Wizards starter with net positive when on floor.

My memory is not the greatest, how did that work out for him? 😀 The great ones just do what is asked. IIRC center as a rookie replacing the arguably the best center of all time. In the NBA finals none the less
And I recently watched the Celtics vs Lakers documentary. Magic actually asked to play the role.

I think Hoopster is his agent.
I know and it's nothing personal against him. I know his stance and for the most part I agree with him on PG. Great player that handled a departure poorly. Both sides can be correct in that assessment.

The digs at PG have nothing to do with him. Every Pacer fan on here has moved on. They digs at PG on this board are purely in jest, with the intent to get you fired up because of your man-crush on him. The Paul George jabs are nothing more than a running joke, similar to all my ex-wives.
I've moved on because I said the very first day the trade was made (as a couple others did on this board) that we won the trade. With that said...my digs at PG are purely at him and his agents. They handled a departure as poorly as possible. I'll never forget him for that...and judging on how he handled LA and his last move this offseason...he's 0-2 in handling things correctly.

Thomas Bryant played pretty well last night. Quick run of twitter this morning it was nice to see so many Wizards fans actually saying why doesn't the guy get more minutes. Cheering for Bryant to get that next contract.

Anyone else starting to get concerned about Victor's injury? Going on 3 weeks now with no indication of return. The good news is Pacers are now 7-4 without him. Last year Pacers were 0-7 without Vic. I see him getting shots up before games, doing drills,etc....but no news on any return.

I have a feeling he'll bounce back tomorrow night against the Bulls.
Negative ghost rider. PG's pro career in a nutshell was this week. PS...the Bulls suck. No one should be losing to them. I don't recall a city having the #1 pick in 2 major sports but between Bulls and Blackhawks it could happen.

Thomas Bryant with a career high 16 last night for Wizards.

How do you say so? No matter the sport, if we’re talking the elite athletes, they don’t have a hard time marketing them even in smaller markets.
Yep. I've never bought the small market thing in terms of marketing ability. You win you'll get commercials. No matter the sport or city. Sometimes you don't even have to win. Look at Paul George for example. He has national spots and played in Indy and now at OKC....not necessarily Madison Avenue.

After this season the Pacers have 8 guys who will be free agents so they have a lot of money to spend. the problem with that is getting free agents to want to come to play in Indianapolis. It is a great city and the facilities are top notch but free agents want to be able to market themselves and Indy is not that place.
I'll never understand when people say they can't market themselves here. Peyton Manning arguably is the most marketable player in the history of the NFL. If you win. People will find you.

Another slow start......grrr.
Even though Pacers are leading again it is confusing why we start so slow. Did last year as well. Oh well. I like what I'm seeing.

I know the Knicks and Bulls suck....but to win those road games, come home and beat Celtics in that fashion all the while Victor has been horribly sick all week....pretty impressive even if it is 1 of 82. Nice week for the Pacers. How many game winning shots is that now for Vic? Guy is clutch at $ time.
-
Sabonis and Oladipo for Paul George. Hahahahaha.....still remember the rip fest some of us took when on the day of the trade in one of these threads a few of us said the Pacers got the better end of the deal.

That last 4-5 shots of that game were unreal. Vic with the bank 3 was fitting. Pacers win.
