Now that is cool. I can't watch this game, would love to hear how they did guarding each other.

Vic pretty much won the evening.

Regarding OG. Earlier in the week Kevin Durant was asked what rookie has impressed him the most? His reply was OG. I also saw on twitter that OG took time at halftime before going to locker room to go say hello to Rabby and another buddy (Rah). I'll repeat that I wish he was with us this year but boy so happy for him to go from torn ACL to 1st round draft to successful start in less than 1 year.

NBA will never be appt tv for me but I'll admit this years Pacers are really fun to watch.

  2. Really excited about this Pacers team. I know they'll have losses but post PG this is as good as you can expect. Those of us who thought we got the better end of the deal shouldn't hurt their hands patting themselves on the back yet but this is a good young team with team controlled contracts for at least next 3 years. Looking forward to going to BLF a few times this season.

On a side note. I didn't want to start a new thread to say this but very thankful there is zero ads/popups,etc....on this site. It's almost become annoying to go to certain sites (IU or otherwise) with the nonstop ads.

  3. Didn't want to go back and find old thread after George trade went down. I do remember a few of us trying to point out it wasn't the fleece job the national folks thought it was. In fact a couple of us tried to say we actually won the trade for year 1 and beyond (after George heads to LA). Small sample size so far but things look good. I might actually get down to a few games this year.

They'd never get rid of Dakich....would they?

I can't speak to it nationally but I know Dakich has even said himself on air this year that he might be gone eventually. Constant bashing of Colts (right or wrong is a different conversation) has made the folks on 56th st a bit ticked. I'm sure he could do something else so he's not worried about losing local radio gig.

  5. Hopefully this comes across the wrong way. I tune into games (hoops or football) for the games. Not the announcers (2 small exceptions Fischer and Gus Johnson). Somewhere in the early 90's or so I felt many at ESPN actually thought they were the show. Not the games itself. Same could be said for reporters in all walks of journalism. I truly tune out most of what they say anymore.

Clay Travis might have a different style but he's been saying this many, many years. As many continue to cut the chord I expect ESPN to continue reduce payroll.
