Pacers fans chanting "Lebron's going to trade you" while Brandon Ingram shoots free throws.

Just got back. Awesome time. 46 point win worst of Lebron's career and judging by their effort and bench....Lakers just waiting for trade deadline. Looked like they could care less.

Wizards might as well blow it up and flip Beal for picks.  Wall is done.

Kind of what I was thinking. Glad I'm not a DC fan. Dealing with Snyder year round, now this with Wizards....and losing Bryce Harper. Not a good year at all. Or decades for that matter.

  3. I think I'm getting this story right. John Wall has been recovering from bone spurs and he apparently slipped in his home and ruptured his Achilles. Out for at least a full year. Supermax starts on contract I believe next year....owed roughly $165M guaranteed over next 4 years.

  4. Yogi with a smooth 19 points in 17 minutes of action vs Spurs last night. Perfect 7-7 from field with 4-4 from 3. Nice to see one of the best pure PG's this state has had do so well when given a chance. Plenty of similarities between he and Carsen Edwards. One thing we know as of today is that Yogi is having success in NBA.

  5. Looks like a 4 team race between Cleveland, Chicago, Phoenix, and New York for worst team in NBA with more than likely draft rights to Zion. Unless the Lakers offer up something unreal (like 3-4 first round picks which won't be higher than what 18-20 range?) I'm waiting to see which of the franchises I mentioned want to pony up the most 1st round picks. Davis is from Chicago so maybe they could package a ton of picks?

We all know Davis wants LA but if I'm Pelicans I'm holding out.

Anthony Davis has requested a trade per Woj

Will be interesting to follow the fallout. Did he do Pelicans a favor by making his intentions clear well before trade deadline, draft,etc....so Pelicans have best chance to maximize what they get back? Or will he be viewed like Paul George who just 6 days before draft leaked his intentions via media? My guess is while Pelicans fans might be ticked they might realize this gives their GM the longest time to max value for his services. Tough one.

I'm a Lakers fan. The day that we released Thomas and kept Zubac, I didn't see a single fan on social media who wanted Zubac rather than Bryant.

Ivica was coming off of a poor second season after a promising rookie year. Thankfully, he is improved this year and is playing well right now.

Grew up a Lakers fan. Dad was a Celtics fan so I naturally chose the opposite. My interest in Lakers started to fade with Kobe. Mostly because of off the court stuff. Still keep tabs on them and got excited when TB joined....only to have them move on so quickly. Really wishing the best for Bryant. Bigs that can run the floor and give max effort will always get the contract to set them up.

The dude gives it all he has every second he is on the floor.  I really like Thomas.

Scary part is he's only 21. He keeps doing his thing and the Lakers might have to ask themselves why in the world they dumped or gave up on him so quickly.

I see Bryant didn't get much PT tonight, did he get hurt?

Nope. And when he did play he pretty much dominated his matchup vs Cousins.  Even got in Cousins head a bit. Started following a few Wizards guys last month and the sentiment of why isn't he getting 30 minutes per game is growing. By all accounts Bryant is a fan favorite because of his insane FG% and hustle.

Sure would be nice to have him opposite of Morgan right now. Haha.

The P's win again going away against a Hornet team that was "Codyless".

And they get Toronto at home Wednesday. Pacers have a couple days off. Raptors will play Tuesday at home before heading here. Should be a good chance for Pacers to get this one.

IU has a lot of really nice pieces in the NBA that contribute to various levels. Here is to hoping Romeo will grow into being an All-Star level player.

EDIT: I realize that was random, just thinking about how many players we have contributing at different positions and teams got me thinking about an all IU team

I'd take my chances with a starting lineup of Gordon, Vic, OG, Vonleh, and Zeller...with Bryant, Yogi, and Troy off the bench? I realize a few others schools can probably claim a better team/lineup but that starting 5 would do pretty darn good.

Yeah, I have no hard feelings for Vonleh anymore really... He’s obviously my least favorite of the former IU players currently in the league, but I’m still glad to see him do well.  For all his flaws, Crean really did do a great job of developing players for the NBA at IU.  Was weird how he lost so much recruiting momentum with so many players doing well in the pros.

Yep. I'm sure we'll eventually find out the answers but going from Yogi/Zeller/Vic to the swings was hard to understand. Maybe that Cuse game really was the nail for coaches in this state. Or perhaps Crean ran out of high character families in the state who didn't need the help. Oh well. Chalk it up to another missed window over the last 20 years.

  13. Wasn't sure where to put this so feel free to move. Was listening to radio this morning while waiting on snowpalooza that is all rain right now. Anyway the discussion of one and done or players going overseas instead of going to college,etc....and the point being made was this. ESPN and Duke have made Zion millions this season just in exposure alone. Very talented we know that but that type of exposure can't be quantified if playing overseas.

Just a random thought on players in the future after CBA rules change. I still think kids (especially top 10 types like Romeo) will still go to college. They just can't get the exposure overseas.

No discussion of Thomas Bryant’s game winning layup that got called for goaltending today??  And Vonleh hit the go ahead shot for the Knicks just before that.  They’ve both been starting this season, good to see them have some success.

Good to see them both have success. Was watching NBA live the other day and was surprised to hear a Philly guy basically begging the 76ers to do whatever they can to get Vonleh. I know he barely unpacked his bags while at IU but it was nice to hear. We can debate what he did with the talent he had but not many coaches can say they have 6-7  guys ( Zeller, OG, Yogi, Vic, Vonleh, Bryant, Troy (on/off)) in the league playing and contributing. Can't imagine more than 5 other coaches can say that. The more I type the more sad I get. Haha.

The Pacers are the only one of the Top 8 in the Eastern Conference to have played more road games than home games at this point in the season.

Yep. 28-14. Played without Vic for an extended period of time. All things considered...extremely happy where things stand.

Boston has the most talent and may still pull it together, but right now Pacers and Toronto are the top 2. Pacers really don’t have any weaknesses, and they’re confident and hungry. The Esst is weak after the top 4-5, but the playoffs are going to be great this year. Go P’s

Jeff Van Gundy was really singing the Pacers praises the other morning. Was kind of nice to hear some national folks doing that for a change.

Butler’s been a cancer for several years now. He’s taken over the No. 1 headcase title, from Rondo. Thunder wouldn’t touch him with a 10 foot pole, they already had their train  wreck with Melo and are playing great ball.

That's why I was thinking of them. Any organization that would take on Melo might be dumb enough to try again. My biggest issue is these players force where they want to go all the time. I just don't see Butler being with Philly by seasons end.

I love it. Seeing things like this make me love the Pacer roster even more. I heard a so called NBA expert pick the Pacers to represent the East in the finals.  He felt they were too solid all around to lose 4 out of 7. Said they were the most complete team in the East

Kind of the way I'm looking at it as well. Toronto/Bucks/us and I still think Celtics by end of year. We've beat them all. See no reason Pacers can't be in the Eastern Conference Finals and win.
