Congrats to Zach Edey and the big ten refs for this historical accomplishment!
I’m sure he’ll make sure they get a cut of his NIL money.

He's good, man. Far from a problem. Besides, if you want to get him back, just start talking trash about Cardinal baseball.😂
Just hoping Lance Lynn doesn’t give up a million homers like he did last year lol.

Prob bad timing on this. Easy way to wear out your welcome with a lot of people who typically tolerate or are cordial. If an IU fan gave this prediction on your board, fine. But coming here and pointing stuff out like this?
No different than @BruceDouglas or @Purdue7 posting on here recently IMO. To me, bad timing would’ve been right after the second game against you guys.

Yeah, some good ones to go back and laugh about.
Very flawed! 🤣
😂
Even the recruiting takes were gold! 🤣
Or not
Funny thing after the Rutgers game they asked Guerrier if being older helped him deal with Brad yelling at him. His answer was that "Boeheim was much worse". 😂
Always fun to go back through to see who was spot on and who was way off lol.

X will be the best defender on the floor too. What he will do to smith/loyer will be criminal. I bet IU sweeps again. We split regardless imho.

The Purdue/Rutgers game last week was just as bad. I’m fine with keeping egregious trash talk to a minimum, but a quick display of emotion isn’t a T.
That first T on Fernandes was awful and then the one against Heide was just as bad but had to be called to keep it even. Just atrocious offficiating.

Crowd sounds like a neutral court game.
EDIT - on second thought, more Purdue cheers than scUM!
That was wild. Legit sounded like a Purdue home game.

Just a feeling but this Iowa at Illinois game has all the makings of something stupid happening today. By stupid I mean either both Coaches are T'd up or players get into it. Something odd. Iowa fighting for tourney, Illinois coming off another late game meltdown.
Just feels like a perfect storm of anger.
Nope just a defense optional game haha.

"a few times"
"a few times to double digit seeds"
"a few times to double digit seeds including the biggest upset in NCAA tournament history"
🤣
Yeah those losses haven’t been good but even with them, Illinois doesn’t hold a candle to Purdue the last 20 years lol. Illinois fans would trade places with Purdue in a heartbeat.

Purdue is clearly not this kid's "everything" ... if so, there is absolutely no reason this recruitment is still going on in the spring of his JR year.
He could for sure end up there, heck they might even "lead" for Sisley... you'll never convince me if Indiana didn't have it's Ts crossed, he wouldn't already be committed to play in Bloomington.
Purdue has been ranked #1 every year Trent has been in HS--- hasn't moved the needle.
I agree that Purdue isn’t his “everything” but I don’t know if I’d agree about the not moving the needle component. Purdue is viewed much more favorably with him now than they were a year ago and I think plenty of factors weigh into that including our ranking, roster construction/building through HS not the portal, and relationships with the coaching staff. If you look at everything he’s said he wants in a program, Purdue fits it to a T.

Wasn’t sure where to post this but looks like James Hardy IV committed to Purdue as a preferred walk-on. His dad was such a fun player to watch and it’s still so sad how things ended for him. Thought y'all would like to know.

Coleman Hawkins. Still hasn't learned. Amazing we were 62-62 with them on the road with a minute to go without Ware.
Dude is so talented but he’s a headcase.

48-41, Illini at the half.
Domask gets away with a lot when he’s backing defenders down. Lucky they don’t call it.

i wouldn't go 99% of the time you win that in the tourney. You had glaring holes that they took advantage of. I would say 75 times out of a 100 you win that at best.
Glaring holes they took advantage of? We gave up 61 points. They triple teamed Edey and hoped we’d shoot so poorly we’d lose and it happened. Saying 75 at best out of 100 is way off for any 16 seed versus a 1 (even one with holes like we had last year). It’d be one thing if we gave up 80 points and couldn’t stop them. We simply couldn’t hit WIDE open shots. We win that 99 times out of 100.

If you’re good enough and play to your potential, match ups shouldn’t matter.
I don’t disagree but that’s part of the randomness of the tournament. We win that game last year 99 out of 100 times but we had an awful shooting night and lost. It happens.

Purdue has enough talent to win it all with the right match ups. They can also be an early exit with the wrong ones. All depends on the draw.
I could see us not making it out of the first weekend and I can see us making a Final Four. Just depends on the matchups like you said. If we have an off night shooting and another team is on fire, could be a quick exit.

UCONN beats Marquette, a top 5 team, by 40 yesterday. Purdue might just get blown out by a team that just fired it's coach. Can we please put to bed the idea that Purdue should be the #1 overall seed come March?
Oh I’d def give it to UConn but even with the loss today, Purdue still doesn’t have a bad loss. Still easily on the 1 seed line.

Still not that crazy as they took more than double the threes as we did.

20-11 FT advantage and you still get beat...
+9 isn’t even that big of an advantage lol. And we got beat because of too many turnovers and not enough 3-point shooting. That’s the recipe for our losses this year.

Life without Edey for sure. They look pedestrian if not below average....and it's not like Ohio St is some good team.
I’d argue they’re a talented team who underachieved all year. We get everyone’s best game and they happened to play really well today. It happens.

Loyer really getting exploited on defense. Painter brought in Morton. Without Edey covering him in the lane, he’s going to have issues next year.
He needs to hit the weight room big time this offseason.

Gotta give O$U credit for playing hard and hitting tough shots
Sure looks different when you play against a coach dumb enough not to cover Morton! 😳
Game after a coach gets fired you never know what could happen. OSU has talent and it showed today.
