And while he pays taxes in the US for that "income", he does not pay any taxes in Canada on that income. Canada does not tax citizens income outside of Canada, whereas the US taxes world-wide income. The US is one of only 2 countries on the planet to do so, and IIRC the other country (can't remember it's name) has about 500 people in it.

Good problem to have lol. From what we’ve heard, the game in Toronto against Alabama he cleaned up with NIL opportunities.

I think he's worlds ahead of the group you mentioned, and Loyer, as a HS SR.

Again, that's comparatively, to where all 5 of them were as 18 yr olds.

I love Loyer but he’s just so damn skinny haha. I feel like Benter has more potential on defense because of his build/height compared to the other guys mentioned. Appreciate the insight and congrats on the state title man that’s legit.

I have no idea.  But as a HS SR, comparatively, I think he's better than any kid you have on your roster. Yes, thats including Braden Smith.

Damn that’s some high praise man I’m glad to hear it!

I think he’s definitely good enough to play just a logjam of guys in front of him so we’ll see what happens. I fully expected Ryan Cline to redshirt and he didn’t so who knows.

One thing I love about Benter is his all-around game. I think for some Purdue fans, they thought he’d be another Cline/Stefanovich/Mathias but I think he has a much better all-around game. Would you agree?

@IU Scott respectfully, I thought going in that should be the outcome if we played well at all.... which we did.

Benter is a mismatch nightmare in HS, especially at the 2A level.

Coomer hits 3s against Park Tudor, like he did today, that games outcome looks different.

Think Benter plays next year or redshirts?

Odd? According to some our program is in a free for all....so I would ask you over the last 3 years which other Big 10 teams are .500 or better head to head vs Purdue. I'll hang up and wait for the answer.

No idea and it doesn’t matter IMO. You guys are in this position regardless of whether you’re 3-3 or 6-0 against us the last 3 years. Head-to-head record over a small timeframe doesn’t mean much.

UConn will have Final Four experience in their favor.  Whil UConn was celebrating the Championship last season, the Boilers were trying to figure out where FDU's campus is located and how close is it to St. Peter's.

As long as we avoid teams from NJ, we should be alright.

Purdue will have trouble once/if they run into a team that can pressure the ball and make it more difficult to feed the post.  These last two teams were just cannon fodder.  I'm not sure they'll face a team like that.  Not sure UConn can even do that.

That’s fair. Luckily they’ve already faced multiple teams with solid defenses like that (Tennessee, Arizona, Michigan State, etc)

Just skimming, IU did have some years where they were +100...But 1992-93 was the only one I see that came close to 231 (226)...

And that's not going into the 34 games out of 35 where the opponents (allegedly) fouled more than Purdue did...

You have one of the best big men in the last several decades who draws fouls like crazy, and a team that is taught to not commit many fouls on defense to allow mid-range jumpers and protect the rim. It adds up to the FT differential you’ve seen this year.  Edey’s arms look like he got mauled by a wild animal the other day lol.

Do people actually think there is some conspiracy behind the scenes that Purdue is getting some unfair officiating?

I might be wrong, but I believe that 'photo' was making the rounds in the first half.  So, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they did not know it was a 39 point loss at the time.

I personally feel that most of the fouls called on USU were legit.  That said, this 'photo' is nothing to get worked up about.  You might be making it a bigger deal than it needs to be.

That’s fair. Just saw Washington hired their coach too!

I honestly think that virtually every foul called on Utah State has been legit.  There are probably some that could have ben called on Purdue and haven't.  But, Utah State has been fouling a lot.

This. They’ve been hacking all game lol.

Until he he sees he won’t get drafted and how much money he will pass up. It’s a business decision to leave…and will be a business decision to stay. Nothing will change draft wise by staying another year. He will just miss out on a pay day if he goes.

Won’t get drafted? Would be surprised if he’s not a first round pick. Maybe early second round at the latest but am guessing he gets a guaranteed contract.
