  1. I hated that movie, but it does open up a lot of good jokes.
  2. You also always have the times when Mother Nature and Old Man Winter get into domestic spats. That can get ugly.
  3. I don't feel sorry for them, but I don't want to laugh at them too hard either. With the collection of talent we are gathering, I think the chance of us losing players in the next couple years has gone up by a good amount. They don't stick around one place for long anymore.
  4. Good timing, since my power just came back on after going off last night in the storm. Off from 10pm until 9am. Odd twist.....My power company is Duke energy. Maybe it is a sign?
  5. Wasn't that the worst estimate in the entire article? Some of the other estimates were for much fewer uses. I have a couple re-usable bags that I make a point of taking with me whenever I go to town. Very handy and can hold a lot. I always use the self-checkout lines at grocery stores and get some interesting looks from people when I pull these out.
  6. Couple of things I don't understand about your post. 1. What form would "shutting it down" take? Are you just saying to tell them to "move along"? Move along to where? 2. Sending away "non Monroe County folk". To where are you going to send them? Regardless of the "where" part, how does that solve or improve anything? It starts to sound like a "not in my back yard" sort of thing. Sorry if that isn't what you mean. Honestly, I'm totally stumped as to what can be done to help solve the problems and not just hide them or make them someone else's problem. Wish I was smart enough to figure out better answers.
  7. The thing I like best about this kid so far? Not one single telephone emoji.
  8. Adding someone like Ballo was absolutely necessary, due to out lack of front-court depth and MR's propensity to get in foul trouble. Also have to remember how many total roster spots we needed to fill, and how many we still need to fill. Plenty of spots available for all positions.
  9. I'll agree about the look of that uni. I am generally not a fan of "fancied-up" uniforms, but I think that one was done well.
  10. As long as they don't follow the path of Bird's early commercials. I think it was his first one - "Ma. The old gray Ford ain't what she used to be." - That may be the very worst commercial I've ever seen.
  11. That elevates you to a higher place of honor in my book.
  12. OK. So, which one of us is being committed, and to which institution?
  13. So now we have gone from Lionel Richie to Tennessee Ernie Ford? Yeah, I remember the Ol' Pea Picker.
  14. That is the impression I got from watching them. Individually they were good, but not great. It was how they worked together that was impressive.
  15. This whole thing has just gotten flat out goofy. I think someone has actually opened Pandora's box, and a lot of people will regret it in the end.
  16. Yep. Who says that print media is out of date? There are a ton of advantages to print media. Cleaning windows, paper training puppies, lining the bottom of bird cages......so many uses. Just try doing any of that with digital media.
  17. He shot 47% from three last year. Just need to get him more shots.
  18. Well, both those guys are part of the Pacers, so it isn't as though it was a long trip for them.
  19. He looks like a grade schooler (as does the other Indiana Elite kid in the background). Some of the other guys we've been looking at would break him in half, with no effort.
  20. Kinda glad coaches don't always listen to fan suggestions on what to do.
  21. The problem is the memories of all the years since then are in their active memory as well.
